History

Established in 2014.

After being told that conventional medicine could no longer help her, Donna Shaw began to research and try alternative holistic medicine for her chronic hand pain. When a friend took her to a Reiki session, Donna was amazed and pain free for 3 days. Needing a new career, Donna decide to focus on two healing modules that helped her, hypnotherapy and Reiki. Donna became a Certified Hypnotherapist through The National Guild of Hypnotist where she remains a member. She then trained in all there levels of Reiki so that she could not only help others heal but train them to heal themselves & others. Donna started a small home based Hypnotherapy & Reiki office (Inner Mirror Healing) after a few years she decided she wanted to be able reach more people and «The Healing Tree» seed was planted. Growing into a holistic center and shop, The Healing Tree’s mission is to provide a space where people of all branches can come together with a variety of Maine’s Holistic Healers to heal mind body & soul.

Business Owner

Donna is a Certified Hypnotherapist, a member of The National Guild of Hypnotist, Certified Past Life Regressionist,(facilitator) and a Reiki Master/​Teacher.

As a graduate and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists in good standing, Donna practices within their code of ethics, ensuring your rights and privacy as a client. As a NGH member Donna is required to have ongoing yearly training, which she loves! Donna believes that her yearly training benefits herself as well as her clients.

As a Reiki Master/​Teacher Donna’s goals are to reach, heal and educate as many people as she can about the «Divine Gift We Call Reiki.» Donna says,“Reiki is truly an amazing healing tool and gift that should be experienced by all.” Donna enjoys teaching Reiki, other classes and offering meditations and hypnotherapy at local adult ed programs, as well as at The Healing Tree.
