Tobacconists of Cary

This cigar shop at the corner of Cary Parkway and Old Apex Rd is a good find for those that want a sizeable selection of cigars and a friendly atmosphere. Always looking around for a good cigar shop, I tried these guys out and came back. They grew on me and I think they do a pretty good job.
First of all the walk in humidor is pretty good sized. It’s not the largest or widest selection I’ve seen around here but it’s pretty good. I have no problem finding a few good selections when I peruse it. The prices are ok as well, they are not the most expensive I’ve seen out there. The service has always been nice and friendly, and helpful when needed. The smoking lounge area is right in the middle of the store though, right as you come in, so be prepared. Other places have it in a designated ventilated area or off to the side. But all in all, I find it a good shop to find what I like and have visited them a few times.
Bottom line: Good cigar shop. Walk in humidor usually has a fairly good selection to choice from, with fair prices. Smoking area is in the middle/​right as you come into the shop, be prepared. Service has been friendly and helpful. Not a bad find.

This is the only place I buy cigars. They always have my favorite brands (e.g. Fuente & Padron) and the shop has a very friendly atmosphere. Oh, and they have a loyalty card, which pays off when you buy boxes.

Not sure what happened to this place – they used to be a reliable go-​to for all the latest brands and accessories, with a friendly, knowledgeable staff.
But now the selection is more akin to a Cold War-​era Soviet tobacco shop, and their prices have gone through the roof. On top of that, they’re constantly «out of stock» on even the most basic humidor accessories.
Sadly, I won’t be heading back there again.
