History

Established in 2015.

In 2014, Yvanne decided to make a career change and focus on her love and passion for skincare and educating women about taking care of their skin. Yvanne thought it to be very important that women understand that they are BEAUTIFUL and it’s ok to say I AM BEAUTIFUL! Yvanne left a stable career in clinical research to step out and make a difference. The Calming Place opened on March 2, 2015.

The Calming Place is operated by Yvanne «Evie» Smith, Licensed Esthetician. Yvanne has been a resident of the Cary/​Morrisville area for 14 years, and is a native of Indiana. Yvanne has a BA in Public Administration from Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Ky., and is also a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Esthetics Technology from Miller-​Motte College in Cary, NC earning Presidential honors. Yvanne has a passion and love for skincare and desires to educate her clients on proper skincare.
