SNH is a wonderful experience. They don’t make people like the proprietor any more. Very quiet and reserved, which may give a wrong first impression, but she’s full of information — all you have to do is ask and you’ll get a lesson, maybe a referral to instructions whether or not she has them to sell. She obviously knows her craft, and she’s as interesting and unique as her shop. The shop is an adventure. Go when you’re not in a rush. Explore the rooms full of beautiful yarns, books, and tools. An all-encompassing establishment for the textile enthusiast.

If you like carft and novelty yarn and can ignore major messiness than this place will be heaven for you. Otherwise, I would stay away unless in dire need. There is no way this house can live up to code– it is in deperate need of repair and the stock is displayed as messy piles thrown onto crooked shelves. The only reason I gave it too stars instead of one is for the selection of spinning wheels and supplies. That is the only reason to visit this horrid place.

This is one of those places that I have no idea how it’s still in business. Don’t get me wrong, I like Shuttles just fine, but to shop there can be a little… intimidating. «Crazy House of Yarn» would definitely be an accurate description. It can take a little while to find what you’re looking for, though the staff is friendly and helpful when asked. My biggest complaint is no prices are marked on anything, so you have to find one of the pink bundles of plastic-covered sheets hanging around that has the prices listed out. The prices are reasonable and Shuttles stocks most everything that I’ve gone there in search of. The place definitely has more character than some other shops in the area!

This place is amazing and they are so helpful. Sometimes I just go there to hang out and knit. The yarns are so beautiful and the store is cozy. It’s a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. go check it out and don’t be afraid to start a project, they’ll walk you through it!
