History

Established in 2000.

In the 30 years that Steve N., creator of Raindrop Gutter Guard Systems (RGG), worked as a roofer, he came across a lot of different gutter guards, (none that worked properly) and decided to try his hand at making a gutter guard that actually kept gutters flowing properly while eliminating the pesky upkeep associated with other products. Steve made the 1^st RGG prototype out of coffee stir straws, glue and blue paint. He took that first prototype to a good friend & neighbor (also a scientist at a Chicago based National Research & Development Laboratory) to see how he could improve it.

Finally… something that addressed all the gutter guard issues & performed the way Steve wanted.

December1999-​The RGG came to be a reality. A final prototype, now made of polypropylene, was ready to be put into action. After rigorous testing & fine tuning, the RGG was perfected & ready to be used by anyone & everyone.

April2000-​The 1^st patented RGG was installed. It is still installed & working great!
