Description

Specialties

At PJ’s our core product is pizza. Not just any type of pizza an organic thin crust flat bread style pizza. We offer a high gluten white crust and an organic gluten free crust also. Our ingredients are sourced where possible from local farms and we also specialize in topping our pizza’s with only hormone free and all natural meats. You can come in and choose from one of our 20 plus choices we have available to purchase by the slice, or you can custom order a pizza just how you want it. We also allow you to order half & half style pizza’s too.

To compliment our pizza offering, we are utilizing the resources of our local farms ingredients and offer a range of small tapas plates. These will change seasonally so be sure to check our menu for the latest choices. Come and relax in a cool comfortable environment and enjoy one of the eight local craft beers we have available on tap, or one of our choice white or red wines by the glass or bottle.

History

Established in 2013.

PJ’s came about from the owners dream to one day own their own restaurant that would be not only unique, but bring their love of different food & wine styles together. Having both lived in different parts of the world, and experienced different cultures and their tastes, there was no doubt that when these two met their own dream to one day have their own restaurant would come true. Location was everything, and being able to draw on local resources and in turn support their local community was high on the agenda. Guest food and service experience was also not to be compromised. After months of research they found a balance between location, community and local sustainability.

Meet the Business Owner

Ngiare H.

Business Owner

Born in North Queensland Australia on a cane farm, Ngiare spent most of her younger days riding horses and helping her mum, sister & grandma manage the land. Her family moved to Brisbane in her early teens so they had more opportunities. Not being one much for school, Ngiare left and got her first job at 15 and never looked back. Her various roles have encompassed being a supermarket deli assistant & manager, customer service clerk, factory worker to sales rep & sales manager for Corporate Express a $ 100 m plus company now owned by Staples. If she wasn’t working, Ngiare could normally be found on the drag strip racing her car or road rally racing around Tasmania somewhere. After moving to the US, and accomplishing her fitness certificate, she worked as a Starbucks barrister so she could get to meet people her in local Doylestown community in PA (where she met her husband & partner Kevin) to then move on and become a restaurant manager and now a restaurant owner.
