Framing job was not good. The backing paper was creased and torn(see uploaded photo). The torn area was fixed by a gluing a torn piece of paper on top of it O_o. The cost was $ 350 for a 14.5×11 watercolor painting with a 4 inch mat border with museum glass(quoted $ 270 for regular glass). It was ready in 2.5 weeks. I did not go to a discount place or mass retailer — the exterior should have at least been perfect! I had to go back and as the lady looked it over, she commented«oh you didn’t like the patch job or the folding?» and laughed. UHMM if you already knew about it, you should’ve just redone it! It look her less than 10 mins to redo the backing. This framing shop did have the most extensive selection I have seen so far. They even have numerous oval frames. The reason for my discounting more stars was because of my customer experience. I called to check and see what the status was on my painting. The woman on the phone calls over her to a co-worker and asks her«what’s the status on that order with the strange name?»(Please note that I have a long, ethnic last name.) Then she gives me an update and tells me that they call my framing job the«burga bruga»(saying gibberish as my last name) order while laughing. Note to the business: If you want to be culturally insensitive and ignorant, you should do it behind your customers’ backs and not to their faces/over the phone directly or else you’ll lose their business. I have now happily sent over my other pieces to be framed to another place where I am not going to be ridiculed by some random person while paying hundreds/thousands of dollars.
