I have a weakness for sweets, especially of the breakfast variety. The almond croissant is the best I’ve ever had. Maybe the best breakfast sweet bread I’ve ever had. I’m a huge cinnamon roll and donut fan, but this is just so awesome I can’t resist. The cinnamon roll is good, but not the best I’ve had(I prefer denser ones, not light fluffy ones). The mini apple tart(can’t remember the exact name) is also awesome. And my son loves the chocolate croissants. Service is friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable for what you’re getting(not cheap, but not expensive). Had the spinach salad once and just wished it was bigger. My other son had the chicken biscuit. He said it was good, but not as good as Rise.

Great selection of pastries, sandwiches and coffee in Cary. I loved how nutty and roasted the house blend was, and I think they have a dark blend too that I’ll be trying in thefuture. I also ordered a turkey sandwich with a garden salad, all of the ingredients were super fresh and they have some unique dressings. In addition to standard lunch seating, there is also a comfy chair section where you can relax with a book. My only complaint is that they serve your food in these cute but not so practical metal baskets lol.

Stopped in for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The Ashe County cheddar biscuit with egg and bacon is killer delicious. The counter service was very efficient and the pastries look divine. The restaurant is well appointed with booths, tables and comfy sofas and chairs. We can’t wait to try more menu items on our next visit.

With help from staff, I ordered the prosciutto and pear sandwich and homemade chips. Delicious! The guy who helped me was friendly, courteous and helpful! Even though they were closing shortly after I arrived they were not pushy at all and did not rush me. Which I very much appreciate! I think it’s better in many ways to La Farm. It does share the same cozy atmosphere… minus the attitude! Please indulge me a minute while I speak to the owner(s). I have three ideas for improvements. First aside from the blackboard there is no signage on the interior. I think that’s a must. A rustic wood or even wrought iron would be great! Second, the music is great! But, you need proper speakers mounted on the walls near the ceilings. And lastly, lighting. Because signage is such a problem in the town of Cary, I think a large chandelier of some kind needs to be hung from the ceiling. From the road, it is impossible to see if you are open for business. I believe that is at least one reason this location has had so many problems in the past. I want you to be a huge success! From my experience today, the makings of that are here. Best wishes!

We love to support local businesses and since this one seems to have the burden of an «iffy» location against it, we’d love to support it. VERY clean restaurant. Several booths, lots of 4 top tables and a few couches to settle in for coffee. Atmosphere is casual and low key. Could they have done more with the décor? Yes, but it’s still very nice looking. The menu had a somewhat limited selections of sandwiches, hot sandwiches, salads and the like, a great hot drink selection and many yummy looking pastries. Despite what I felt as a limited choice, the menu on further reflection, seemed well balanced and well though out. We both had the pear and prosciutto panini and thought the balance of sweet and salt, y, crisp and chewy was terrific. We also both had side salads with home made dressing. Prices were fair. Food was fresh. The only thing that kept me from giving this 4 stars was that there was no option to have a glass of wine or a craft beer with lunch. On a weekend this is almost a must LOL. That aside, this is a place we will revisit for coffee, breakfast or lunch and we really hope they will do a great business and stay a long while.

We discovered this place by chance after taking our kiddo to the Kids Together park around the corner. I ordered the Caprisi sandwich and it was delish! Their chips are very good too. Has a nice homey feel.

Boyfriend and I were out and about in the area and were debating between 2 places to grab lunch so I chose Chanticleer. I was torn on what to order since it all looked great but I decided to go with the Pear & Prosciutto Panini with pasta salad and Boyfriend went with the Yum-Yum Club with pasta salad. The Panini was good, I do think that all of the flavors paired well together. I also love Manchego cheese but was not a huge fan of the Prosciutto. The club is a solid choice, it was both fresh and delicious. What stole the show was the pasta salad, it was amazing! For dessert we decided to split a Lemon Meringue Tart. This was a good option but I would probably not get it again since I was not a fan of the chocolate that lined the crust. I think that we finally have a business that will stay in this spot for good!

This is a great place! My wife and I had cheddar and egg biscuits(I added sausage) — very good. We shared an almond croissant and it was even better than the biscuits. The interior was open and extremely clean, we sat outside on the porch since the weather was great and it was also extremely clean. Although we sat outside I thought it was really neat that they have two large, inviting seating space with nice couches and armchairs to sit and read while drinking coffee. Oh, and there was a real Christmas music CD playing in the dining room, not the Frosty the Snowman gutless PC blather. I love the recognition and embrace of the actual season! Y’all should eat here!

Excited to find this locally owned café in Cary. This space has been a million things over the years and I think that finally we have a winner! The shopping center is tough since you have to do a bit of driving around to get into the entrance, just do it it’s worth it. I walked into a large open space with a ton of tables with cute silver chairs and booths against the walls. The bakery case had some amazing looking treats I wish I was in the mood for something sweet because I think I really missed out. A selection of mini pies, including pumpkin, french silk, and more. There were some really good looking chocolate croissants and pastries as well. They have a few breakfast sandwiches to choose from and they use Ashe county cheddar cheese yum! I ordered the egg white and swiss with turkey bacon on an english muffin. Good thing I don’t live that close because this is what I want for breakfast every morning. You know when you order an english muffin breakfast sandwich and the english muffin seems soggy and not toasted(that’s my usual experience) well this one was perfect I’m pretty sure they put some butter on there too because it was mighty tasty, but it was an egg white so you know it was healthy:) They have a nice coffee menu and lunch menu. Plenty of salads, panini’s and fresh sandwiches to choose from. The coffee is pretty standard I had a latte it was good but nothing I’d run back for. The space is so clean, they are on top of wiping down those tables. My only complaint is they only let you use their free Wifi for an hour. Get out their and support these local businesses, they are putting out some super fresh food and doing an amazing job at it. If you want to save some time this holiday season get your order in for some seasonal pies, and desserts.

The family and I decided to go to Cary to run some errands. Wanted to grab a bite to eat after and we wanted something good, pretty healthy, and something that wasn’t chain food. Saw the great reviews on Unilocal and decided to come here. Upon entering, we were happily greeted and welcomed by the staff. We studied the menu for a while and decided to order salads and my son ordered a Reuben with a side of pasta salad. Everything was really good and fresh and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I can say with certainty that we will return here!

I had lunch with a friend here yesterday for the first time. The menu is great, it was difficult to decide what to get. My friend ended up getting the grilled Reuben Panini with a side salad, I didn’t taste her sandwich, but she said it was great and she should know, she’s eaten at plenty of NY deli’s in her life. She asked for a side salad as her side and the apple cider vinaigrette; the salad was really nice, with cucumbers, and really red, ripe tomato slices(I was very impressed by that), the vinaigrette was creamy and delicious. I really like the metal baskets that they use to serve their sandwiches in, very cute and environmentally conscious. I had the Autumn Spinach Salad, it arrived in a huge bowl, lightly tossed in a maple vinaigrette dressing with chunks of butternut squash, spiced pecans, and goat cheese. The salad was served with a small slice of focaccia bread. The salad was delicious, but I wasn’t too impressed with the bread — it had a cake-like consistency, not what I expected from focaccia. We didn’t have any pastries, but I am eager to return for a bear claw! The only thing negative about the experience was the atmosphere. The walls are painted a pale(hospital) green and, while the booths are cozy, the majority of the seating is just tables arranged in a large, sparse, dining room. I would suggest adding some artificial trees or maybe some half-wall room dividers to make the space a little cozier and not so antiseptic feeling. Of course, on a nice day, they have some lovely outdoor seating.

I’ve been wanting to try Chanticleer for a while now, and we decided to try them out for lunch. The other reviewers are spot on in that the pasta salad is really good: great flavors, a nice bite to the pasta, seasoned well! Our sandwiches, however, weren’t anything to write home about. Perhaps we could custom create a sandwich and find something we’d enjoy more than our first attempt, but I’m not sure we’d come back for lunch here. The pastry and bakery items, however, WILL bring us back! There is a great selection of sweets and breads, the croissant I had was pretty perfect, and there are so many tempting items here. We may try this spot for a breakfast and to pick up some treats sometime in the near future — there is definite potential for some winners with those items. We haven’t tried the coffees yet either, but those are probably worth a shot too. I may just need to update my review after experiencing more of what Chanticleer has to offer if they wow me with the other items. I know my kiddo wouldn’t mind stopping in for a sweet treat one of these days!

Ordered a grilled veggie sandwich today with a side of butternut squash soup. The vegetables in the sandwich were cold, which I didn’t expect but also didn’t really mind except for the fact that the focaccia was burnt :(it’s what i look most forward to! Butternut squash soup was creamy, flavorful, wonderful texture and the herbs were a perfect compliment. Followed my meal with an apple turnover which was flaky and tasty but certainly lacking in the apple department. Barely slices of apple in it.

Chanticleer, please forgive me for not visiting here till now. OMG I love this place! So I had to come to Cary for my appointment this morning and after I finished my stuff, I decided to get something in this area: I mean the weather was so amazing, I didn’t have anything going on today, I felt like today was my happy free day, and yes I was too hungry to drive back to Raleigh(I know it ain’t that far, but you know I am a stereotype Asian woman driver, so driving can be very stressful). Since I wasn’t sure where to go, of course I used Unilocal and I found Chanticleer café with great rating, so I decided to give it a try! Well as soon I walked into this place, I knew that I would love this place. This place is very spacious, they have a lot of tables & chairs inside and you can sit outside too. They also have this huge couch inside and it looked so comfy!!! So, they have a lot of options from breakfast, sandwiches, soups, smoothies, paninis, salads, kids menu, coffee, desserts and MORE! Oh gosh, I had a hard time picking my menu because I wanted to try all of them! Anyway, I decided to get Caprese panini: It had tomato, fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, olive oil in Italian bread. Also, you can choose chips, salad, or pasta bowl for your side. I had pasta bowl for my side! So, their panini. I was very impressed by their mozzarella cheese and tomatoes because they gave me a lot of cheese and big tomatoes! Very generous! I loved it! And their basil with olive oil made everything even better. I loved that smell and taste! Recommend to try this panini! If you love panini, you really are going to like this panini! It was very good. One of the best panini that I’ve ever had. Pasta bowl was pretty simple, but I enjoyed it. I usually get salad whenever I get sandwich at café, but it’s nice to try something new! I loved my panini set, coffee and atmosphere. It’s very cozy and comfy. I am going to try their bread, dessert and cookies when I visit here next time. This place is very new, they opened like 3 months ago and it has amazing bakery, coffee, and nice staffs. Very happy that I found this hidden gem in Cary!

We stopped in on Sunday for brunch. So glad to have found this spot because I could see it becoming a possible favorite. There are plenty of tables inside and comfy looking couches where you can hang out if you want to sip your coffee and relax. Lots of seating outside too, which is nice with the weather cooling some. We walked in and it said brunch was served until 11, but it was maybe 11:20 or so. They said they were still serving brunch, so I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. I was looking for sides, but they don’t have any for breakfast(my husband had a breakfast sandwich with bacon and a side of pasta salad, again, because a breakfast sandwich just isn’t gonna cut it alone for Sunday brunch or any brunch for that matter). I was hoping for some kind of hashbrown or something but they didn’t offer it. I had fruit, which was good, but was hoping for something more filling(hey — a pregnant lady has to eat…). I also ordered a latte. Outside we went and waited briefly on our food. The breakfast sandwich was great, the latte was great, the fruit was fruit(you kind of can’t go wrong there…), but after eating the sandwich, I was still hungry. So inside we went to order a cheese danish. So good! I think what would set Chanticleer apart from going to another(more filling) spot would be offering more in terms of brunch. Hashbrowns, toast, maybe a «farmers» dish with eggs, bacon, and a biscuit or something. We would be there EVERY weekend if that happened! Otherwise, if we are looking for a delicious and filling brunch we’d likely go elsewhere. Pastries and coffee are good!

This is easily 5 stars in my Unilocal. Why? Cleanliness — 100% sanitary rating posted. And everywhere you look is spotless. Quality of food — FRESH. Wonderful. Friendliness of Staff — They were all SO nice and still professional, and more than one employee checked with me to see if everything was good. Coffee — Best Latte I’ve ever had. Service — Fast. Plus they have everything you need at the condiments/coffee bar. Milk, cream, half-n-half, Sugars, Simple Syrup, Cinnamon, Chocolate, and more! Glass Salt & Pepper shakers, and real silverware… spotless silverware, not a single smudge. Its obvious they want you to have everything you need and a good experience. The dining room is very comfy and the outdoor seating is really nice and pleasant. There’s plenty of parking. I had Chicken Salad on a Croissant, which was PERFECT. I chose Pasta Salad as my Side and it was Amazing. I was stuffed after ½ a sandwich but I couldn’t stop until my plate was clean. I’m not a sweets eater but the Pastries(made fresh every morning) were beautiful and artistically created. I plan to make Chanticleer Café & Bakery a regular stop whenever I’m in Cary!

Newly open and the staff has it together. The food is fresh, well prepared, and the taste is excellent. Coffee is fresh brewed. Plenty of well lighted seating in a very clean dining room. Parking was also good but when word gets out expect the enormous lot in the shopping center to fill up.

Chanticleer Café and Bakery manages to find a niche in the spectrum of bakery and light meals in this area of Cary. The bakery part is nice, with the types of goodies you’d expect to see and all are available to-go(in eco-friendly containers) or to eat-in. It isn’t a large selection, but is probably varied enough to find something. The number of items in each selection is limited and likely ensures little will be left over the next day. New day, new items and some returning favorites, too, no doubt. Two items I picked: a brownie and a tart, were very good. It made me sorry I split them with two people from work. The café part of Chanticleer offers salads, soup, and light sandwiches and a three or four item children’s menu. Gluten free bread is available for a small added charge. In fact, now I’m thinking I should have asked if I could order a lunch to go during breakfast. The café menu, written on the board behind the counter is crammed with the names of nearly everything on the paper menu, plus more. The only puzzling part is the wording«Today’s Menu». Really? There’s no way anyone could update that board or even a part of it, everyday using the same pristine, nearly perfect handwriting. Not that it matters because I didn’t notice that wording until after I had looked at everything else. Maybe that was the point. I tried something from the breakfast menu, a croissant with egg. It’s hard to mess up a croissant unless it’s old and dried out, and fortunately, this was neither. The egg, cooked well, melted the cheese. The only downside was the cheese, which was closer to something helping keep the egg in place rather than to add any discernable flavor, at least until I had a bite with only cheese. I’d definitely try this again. Coffee. They have coffee. Caffeine is good. Although there’s a robust coffee menu, there’s also the brewed coffee of the day specials. The one I tried was okay, but had a slightly acidic after taste. I didn’t care for it, but again, caffeine is good and because this isn’t a coffee shop, I’ll let the coffee slide and try something else the next time. With the muted colors, open concept, and large windows allowing in natural light, Chanticleer has an outdoor café feel to it. The brightest lights are behind the counter to draw your attention to the bakery items. Very tricky of them. Chanticleer is open only for breakfast and lunch, and with those hours, it won’t fit as a regular stop for me. That’s too bad because my co-workers and I are already fans.
