How can you have a wood fired oven in your restaurant and fail to deliver a hot pizza to your customers? We ordered two pizzas and they were brought to our table and were lukewarm. They also appeared to be under baked. We asked for them to be returned to the oven so they would be hot and they came back basically the same. I know I can make a better pizza on my grill… how can you mess this up? We won’t be returning!

The pizza is delicious and so are the appetizers. They have awesome prices and the prices get even better after 10pm as the pizzas are buy one get one. Love this spot. The lack of one star is because the menu is small and there’s not a lot of pizzas to select from.

Hit or miss. 1st time here it was good. Craft beers on tap. 2nd time, the pizza was under cooked and doughy. I wouldn’t drive back unless was headed to the movie theater beside it.

We were hungry after a movie at Frank’s CineGrill, their bar area was slam packed and instead of getting in our cars, we walked past them and came here. The amazing smell hits you right in the face as soon as you open the door — Aaaaaahhhhhh… The place itself is super clean and tidy. We were seated and greeted and had drinks in front of us in record time. Our server wasn’t just attentive, he was incredibly accomodating with out split/shared pizzas and made awesome suggestions. It’s quite nice to have waitstaff who should place their own order to sit and eat *with* your group! The pastas were great, pizzas were great, service was great — From this point on I believe we’ll simply order munchies at CineGrill then come here to eat afterwards.

We have been to Brixx at this location many times since they opened. The last time we went, I rated them 2 stars because we had noticed a decline in the quality and one of our pizzas hardly had any toppings. The manager responded and said that they heard us and asked us to come back… We have been back a couple of times now and we have noticed that they have upped their game again… We had dinner at Brixx again last night and the pizza was loaded with fresh, great tasting toppings.!!

As a transplant from New Jersey, I’m VERY particular about pizza. Even though this is not New Jersey/New York style pizza, it’s still very tasty California-style fare. It’s close to me and I like the food enough to start eating there regularly. I had the mushroom pizza that had shiitake and other tasty ‘shrooms on it instead of the canned button mushrooms found on lesser pies. It’s not easily seen from the road and is in a new shopping/apartment complex development so it seems easy to get a table at the moment.

Solid Tap Selection Considering were in the center of so many local breweries. $ 5 Flights and rotational Taps & Casks. The Shrimp Carbonara is very well executed. Service is timely. Friendly and helpful. Their pizza is cooked to order and I like mine a little darker than what they serve. So they were able to accommodate my needs. I have no complaints about this place. I like the growing area. Next to a great cinema. Open till 2am good for late night or after a flick eats… I will be back.

Ordered the brixx sticks, arugula pear salad and Thai chicken pizza. Tasty as always. You get a choice of white or wheat dough. Our waiter was very attentive. We sat in the high top booth which afforded us use of the chalk board while we waited. My only negative was that we ordered the fresh squeezed lemonade which come to find out has some Sprite in it. My son and I don’t drink soda so we asked them to remake it which they did. They should list that in the menu if they are going to add soda. Otherwise a pleasant experience.

Summer cocktails, while $ 5 on Wednesdays, are inconsistent and often short-pours, based on three visits. This past Wednesday, we sent them back. Bartender Tim wasn’t happy about that and let me know it in quite a rude way. The specialty BLT pizza was good, but you have to ask for it. We’ll be returning to our regular Wednesday night place, Travinia in Park West, for their half-priced martinis and great fare.

Tried this tonight for the first time. Shared Thai and Spinach Artichoke pizzas with my friend. The Thai pizza had pistachios which was a pleasant surprise. Spinach Artichoke was also tasty with roasted red peppers and blacked chicken. Crust was crispy and delish. Homemade lemonade was a little sweet for me but still refreshing. Nice outdoor seating and service was great. I’d already eaten an early dinner so I wasn’t hungry but it was good to try and she was treating! ;-)

The pizzas are fresh and the selection is just big enough to make the choice difficult. Pretty good NC beer selections. The pizzas have a good flavor and excellent crust. Plenty of TVs for sports, and an extensive bar. Great afternoon stop on any day.

The bbq chicken pizza was so good! I really enjoyed it. Plus the lemonade I ordered was phenomenal, you can definitely tell that it’s real lemonade. For an appetizer I ordered a Cesar salad. I really liked the dressing and everything in general. What I liked most about this place overall is that the staff is so nice and are food was always served fast. What comment I did want to make was that last time when I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, it was cold and i wasn’t to impressed. This is why I gave brixx a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

I thought Brixx was okay. I love how they have individual pizzas and different crusts like wheat, but I didn’t like how my pizza came out burnt and it wasn’t even hot! Also, it’s cool how they have own homemade root beer, but when I went they ran out of it. I rated Brixx a 3 and not 2 out of 5 stars because their staff was really nice to us.

I’m not going to lie — I love me some BOGO, like a fat kid lovss cake. You throw in some BOGO pizza any time of day, and I’m there. Well, my wife and I are there, as it’d be a little bit ridiculous for me to plop down in a booth and order a Noah’s Ark style pizza while stuffing my face. I’m not saying I couldn’t do it — I’m just saying that I shouldn’t. Oh, for reference Clipper Magazine had a BOGO coupon in May 2015, but we’ll be back to this location even without a coupon. Categorically… Location: 4 out of 5 This place hit the jackpot for the RTP area, and maybe it just hasn’t come to fruition yet. There’s not a whole lot of businesses that have anchored themselves just yet at the Commons, but when you see a Target and a Harris Teeter pop up, it’s almost inevitably a good sign. Field and Stream has a brick and mortar shop here, so I’m a bit curious to see how that will do. I wonder if this place is zoned for a movie theater, because that would probably do well here. The location on 55 between Kit Creek and O’Kelly Chapel is quite primo, and only about a 10 minute drive from where we live in Cary. Parking for now is plentiful and free, though things may get more hectic as more businesses move in. As a side note, this listing is currently listed as being in Holly Springs, NC, but I’ve requested that it be changed to correctly reflect as being in Cary. Décor: 3.5 out of 5 Forgettable and familiar. Once you’ve seen one of these wood fired pizzerias, or any type of almost haute cuisine but not quite(by design), you’ve seen them all. The«star» of the show is the open kitchen with the wood fired pizza oven.(ok, it’s likely wood + gas combo). The oven looks chic and polished, and the layout probably looks the same as all the other Brixx out there: a semicircular bar area around the oven and a mix of hightops, regular tables, and booths that arc outwards from the oven. It was actually a decidedly pleasant experience from a décor standpoint. Customer Service: 4.5 out of 5 We had a very enthusiastic young man named Jamie who helped us on a Sunday afternoon. He was quick, attentive, and was familiar with all of the menu items to a point where he could alter his little opening lines depending on who was in the restaurant. I mean, all waiters and waitresses should be able to do this, but extra points awarded because this place hasn’t been open that long, and Jamie is one of the reasons why we’ll probably be back sooner rather than later. Selection of pizza: 5 out of 5 I won’t be cliché and say«infinite», but any place that will let you take what they’ve set as the standard list of «things that taste good together» and scale them back or add to them has some credibility. Yes, it IS possible just to order a plain cheese(or cheese + pepperoni pizza), and it IS possible to almost every imaginable combination of toppings that you’d ever come across, EXCEPT for fried eggs, which Jamie was upfront about. So — you can take a picky kid there, or you can take an adventurous person there and they’d both find something that would be decent. Quality of pizza: 4.25 out of 5 What a surprise that this is one of the best pizzas that we’ve had since we moved to to the RTP area in August. Look — the wiffy was born and bred in the southwest burbs of Chicago, and we spent the majority of our life together in Chicago proper. There’s not a way to replicate the taste and texture of Lou Malnatis or Giordanos, and I realize that there are those out there that wouldn’t consider Chicago style pizza to be «pizza.» When we lived in Milwaukee for one year, we found a place that had a nice thin crust that was on the river that had a comprehensive draft beer list with a good vibe. I guess we’ve been looking for that ever since we got to the RTP area and everywhere we’ve looked has just fallen a bit short for a variety of reasons. I’m not trying to be snide, but if we had visitors that came into town that wanted to get decent pizza, I’d probably take them here over Mellow Mushroom or Patrick Janes or Trophy. Crust here = great, and next time I’ll ask that they maillard it up a bit longer. We got wheat on our two pizzas(Rustica and Melon/Prosciutto), and it didn’t clash. Toppings = not overwhelming, but you still get all of the ingredients with each bite. Selection of beer: 4.5 out of 5 Also quite surprising was the fact that they had approximately 20 decent beers on tap. Due to NC’s long standing blue law of «No alcohol sales before noon on Sunday», I wasn’t able to get a taste of the beer that was«dry hopped» with peanuts. Mondays and Tuesdays = terrific beer deals, however. Value: 5 out of 5(if done right) Even if you didn’t have a Clipper coupon, pizzas are BOGO after 10pm on weeknights, and craft beers are 1.95 on Mondays, meaning a late date night or guys/gals night early in the week would be quite cheap. Overall: 4 out of 5 A 4.25+ star experience that unfortunately rounded down. Worth a visit for sure.

New location has the right formula for an excellent wood fired oven pizza off Highway 55 in Morrisville, N.C. Service is fast and accurate even on the second day open. Pizza is hot and has a nice texture and crispy crunch. James, the manager, came over to our table. Bar is well stocked and a good selection of craft been on tap and bottle. Worth a visit because Field and Stream is on the same property, with a theater coming online soon, and Pet Co close by too.
