Service was excellent. They serve coffee. Very expensive compared to other shops. If you are looking for great customer service and a nice clean atmosphere then this is for you. If you are looking to save money you may want to shop around.

I have always considered them a 5 star. Until this week. For regular customers they have given them a line of credit. Apparently, they have been taken advantage of by many customers. My family has had these accounts for years. We always paid them within 2 – 3 months, no matter how high the bill was. I ordered tires for my daughter and I arranged for them to be installed and a lifetime alignment, which was to go on my account, which I would pay on Saturday… today. I get a call from my daughter on Wednesday telling me they do not have in house accounts anymore. I had to leave work early (90 in lost overtime wages) to go in and pay this. The reason I am upset is whether they had a credit app on file or not, they violated state law by not giving a 30 notice to these changes. THAT is why I am giving them 3 stars. They get a 5 star rating for service and dependability. They get –1 star for how they handled shutting down their in house account program. Told one of the partners to call their attorney. They showed very little professionalism, and down right ignorance and/​or arrogance concerning state law.

Watch out! Will try to rope you into additional repairs! And if you are a woman — forget about it! Don’t weld — will only use bracketed parts. And the hourly rate is $ 99!
I brought my 2000 CRV into the shop based on a reference from a coworker. I had an ongoing problem with my car that I have sought service previously when I came into Atlantic Tire. I fully disclosed the problems I’ve had, and my inability to get it properly fixed at other shops.
I got the list of parts they suggested needed to be replaced — from the O2 sensor all the way back to the muffler! I wonder if it was all necessary or if because they don’t weld they couldn’t replace just what was needed.
After I spent close to $ 700, I called to get an update and the original problem of it stalling was not fixed (though I was assured it would be). Another part and almost $ 300 later, my car was ready to be picked up.
Before I even left the parking lot, my car stalled AGAIN and now my window was stuck down. I was told I needed even more work! Granted I just spent almost half of what this car is worth! I also noticed they «accidentally left» the receipt of a car wash from the joint next door on my dash — I don’t really give a rip if they comped me a wash and I think it’s tacky they left the receipt for me to find!
I came in with my husband to dispute the final bill — he was told the $ 99 diagnostic fee would be rolled in if we got it fixed there. I was told they normally don’t take off the discount for labor (a coupon I brought in from a mailer!). I think because the lobby was so full of other customers he gave me the fee back. But the whole time he addressed my husband even though I was asking questions!
It runs OK now, but still has the original stalling problem. Won’t be going back to Atlantic Tire to check into it!

Not at all pleased with my recent service. We hadn’t had problems during our few experiences here in the past, so I recently took my older car in for its annual inspection. They failed it and I had them keep it to diagnose the problem, since this wasn’t entirely unreasonable nor unexpected for a car in it’s condition.
Well, of course they later call me back with a several hundred dollar repair quote. The car isn’t actually worth that much in repairs, so I decided to take it home with me to get a second opinion as well as check with my father (son/​brother of mechanics). The next place passed it with no remarks, however, despite the exact same readings on the tests, and when my father took a look at what they told me was broken, he found there to be absolutely nothing wrong.
Not only that, but when I initially mentioned that I would be taking it somewhere else, I was immediately called back with an offer of a discount for the work they’d quoted me. In retrospect, I suspect this was a ploy to try to get me to go ahead and agree to the repairs it turns out I didn’t even need. Additionally, when we took a look at the quote breakdown, it included all sorts of things that we hadn’t discussed, such as wheel alignments, which contributed to the high price.
Last year they passed the same car with no trouble, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because my husband was the one that took it in…

I have purchased full sets of tires from them twice: once for an older Honda and once for a newer Mercedes. In both cases I got multiple quotes and they were not only the best deal (they are good at matching prices) but they had the best service.
With the Accord I got a good deal on relatively cheap tires and with the Mercedes I got a good deal on newer high performance ones. With the Accord they helped me pick out a cheaper set and didn’t try to upsell.
In the case of the Mercedes they had the tires in the day after I called and were able to give me a quote immediately, even on a Sunday (some of their competitors told me they’d call me back Monday). They also matched pricing from Tire Rack.
They have a nice waiting room with Wifi and they are up front on how long things will take and what they are doing. Plus I got a complimentary car wash.
Will definitely be returning and recommending them. So far I’ve been happy with the tires and the work that was done.

Ok. I needed tires for a big trip, first I called Costco, a store that I love but they could not get tires for 4 – 6 days. So I went to Atlantic tire where I had purchased tires a few years ago but remembered a positive experience. My tires, Hankook, original tires 30,800 miles on my 2013 Ford Flex had some strange cuts, dings and chunked of rubber missing. Very small cuts and chunks. Well Atlantic went to work, took photos of my tires, contacted Hankook and
got me a rebate on the damaged tires. I will get a rebate for about $ 180 from the manufacturer. Just sayin, but I’m sure that I will return to Atlantic.

5 star review is needed for this place! Received a free oil change upon moving to Cary. Decided well, lets check it out! Friendly, fast and a great waiting area with coffee while your car is being serviced. If you are looking for a place this is it!

I’ve used Atlantic Tire & Service four different times over the last few years and have had consistently poor service. Today was the worst. The technician resurfacing the rotors I dropped off to be resurfaced could not tell the difference between metric and english measurements and was extremely negative when I asked for help and asked for the work to be checked. When I talked with the general manager, he said he would look into the situation and call me back. I never heard from him. My recommendation is to go down the street and use AAA on Chapel Hill Rd., just down the street. Much nicer people and they are willing to show you the specs they are following and verify their work. I will never use Atlantic Tire and Service again.

Atlantic Tire in Cary has been servicing not only my company vehicles, but all of my personal vehicles for nearly 15 years. The facts, and the length of time I’ve been coming to them should speak for themselves: Honest, straightforward analysis, competitive pricing, even their friendly staff, knows me by name. Dependable, stands behind their products and services, provides a very comfortable waiting area, or a ride home if required. They are dependable, take care of my cars, and I trust them.

Keep away! The same work they gave me an estimate for I was able to do at half the price somewhere else… when they checked my car for the estimate they neglected to tell me about a HUGE potential problem… I asked them to check for a particular issue and they told me that it was something else… turns out I was correct. I wonder if all of this would had happened had I been male. Please, ladies, stay away — what a ripoff.

It’s difficult to find a good mechanic. Worse, it can be scary and incredibly expensive when your vehicle breaks down and you need it fixed ASAP.
For years, I was at the mercy of whoever the closest mechanic was to where I lived or where the catastrophic failure occurred. I would call around and find the cheapest estimate and, almost without fail, be surprised and shocked when the work was done and the actual cost far exceeded the original quote.
Thankfully, I found Atlantic Tire and Service in Cary. They have faithfully and consistently serviced my vehicles for the past 5 years. Through routine maintenance, unexpected breakdowns, and even new car purchasing advice, they have given me exemplary service.
They are truly experts at what they do and I am always confident that, if there is an unexpected issue, they will give me the straight story without sugar-​coating it or inflating the bill and repairs with unnecessary work. They always give me options and the alternative courses of action (not the kind of «alternatives» where the mechanic tries to scare you into the higher cost option either).
I have personally seen them work with customers to make sure they got the service and satisfaction they needed and, I can honestly say, as long as I live in North Carolina, my cars will always be serviced at Atlantic Tire in Cary.
I always recommend them to my friends with confidence that they’ll be treated right and given fair and honest service.
One final note, I always ask for Al when I go in. He’s direct, honest and incredibly knowledgeable. He’s worked in the industry for ages and it shows. If I could give him six stars I would.

I used Atlantic Tire for all maintenance issues for about 6 years. It was easy to make an appointment online and I wanted to support a local business vs. a big chain. I always felt like my tires were repaired well and only 1 time did I have to go back in a few weeks because of a lingering problem.
I stopped going to Atlantic Tire because the location became less convenient and it seemed like every time you were treated like a new customer — even though they have a database/​system — you are always asked make, model, year of your car and your contact information — if you make an appointment online — they’ll ask you again for the info in person. They seem extremely busy — too busy to pull up your service history.
I also would not be surprised if I had services/​repairs for things I didn’t really need. They almost always come out with recommendations for things that need to be replaced — sometimes I would say no and sometimes I would say yes only to have friends tell me that it wasn’t necessary. Atlantic Tire did keep my car running well but I am looking for better customer service and better location.

After using this company for all of the 13 years they have been in business, I was stunned at a recent quote to replace spark plugs. I otherwise would not have called around, but did because the cost seemed so high. I happily had my car serviced, to my great satisfaction, for a third of the quote at Atlantic. Not all recommended services were needed and the ones I did need were substantially less at a nearby garage. I have a new mechanic.

Great place for all of your car care needs! Great service! Only propblem is they are always so busy you might need to make an appointment! They are the best!
