Simple Elegance

We booked this company for a photo booth for our wedding this past august. Right from the start I realized that it took several emails and days to ever hear back from Tim and voicemails were never returned. I checked in periodically before the event and everything seemed to be fine. The photobooth was scheduled to arrive at my wedding reception from 7 until 9. The night of my wedding I realized at almost 730 that the photobooth had not arrived and I had not received a phone call from anyone. I called Tim who informed me that his worker had left at 430 and should have been there by now! He called her and called me back and told me that she was stuck in traffic but was now 10 minutes away. That seemed like a very long time to be in traffic, but I accepted the excuse. When this girl showed up to my reception she was dressed in a t-​shirt and yoga pants, her hair was disheveled, she was stumbling with all of the equipment and she honestly looked like she was drunk or high. By the time she finally got the booth set up it was now quarter past 8 and a lot of my guests had left. When people finally started taking pictures she didn’t have the guest book out and then, the printer wouldn’t work! I never got an apology from her and not a single guest received a printout of their photo and they also didn’t get to put one in a guestbook, which is what I was using for my wedding guestbook. Fast forward and Tim let me know that he fired her, and he gave me back half of my money, which is great, but when he sent me extra copies of all of the photos that were taken that night (so I could send them with thank you cards), more than half of them are missing! He says he printed all that they have but seeing I don’t even have a printout of the one photo I took with my husband that night that is clearly not true! And now Tim has stopped answering my e-​mails all together. Overall a terrible experience and I would NOT reccomend this company to anyone. BEWARE

I booked Simple Elegance because of their great reviews on Thumbtack and they really came through for my daughters birthday party! The kids had SO much fun, the managers are great people to work with, and and they seemed like they were on call any time I needed them! Their customer service really convinced me that I should go with them as well. They answered all my questions and concerns right away and their props were fantastic! I am definitely booking them for her next birthday!

These guys are great, I hired them for my birthday party. They showed up early and set up quickly with no issues. They were so nice and really went above and beyond to make sure the guests at my party were having a blast. The photo booth was very nice — it’s true to the pictures on their website. I checked that out before I called them and id say to definitely do that so you know what you’re getting as far as services. I’d recommend them for sure, Kate and Tim organized the guest list and decorations and even DJ’d the event. It was great to just rely on one business to do it all and for a great price.

I wish I could give negative stars.
Booked an event with them back in August 2014 for a May 2015 event. About 3 weeks before hand after a few failed attempts to get a hold of them I got a total BS email from them… claiming that they had a scheduling glitch. Yea, ok… this was a LIVING SOCIAL deal that they did not want to honor because a full price booking came along. Seriously how did they determine WHO to actually honor and who to cancel on?
SEE OTHER REVIEW BELOW. I got told the same line of bull. Now they are probably going to respond to this and claim that they tried to call me and blah, blah, blah… well they didn’t. The one email I got was it, they never even responded to the response I sent.
Don’t worry though, after panicking and calling every other photobooth rental company I could find… I was able to fine someone else to do it… and it worked out for the better.
Just a really crappy way to do business. And since I am not the only reviewer with the same story, I hope that they stop this and re-​evaluate how they conduct business.

They never once tried to call me or left any messages as they claim in their response, and I received only one email. I’m not that hard to reach.
