King Richard’s Faire

I have been to the King Richards Faire a couple of times. They have a variety of events going on so you are never bored. I loved seeing the horses and the lions. The food is pretty good and I never leave without my henna tattoo.

I love King Richard’s Faire; I’ve been going since I was a little kid and will always love it.
Let me start with the negative. KRF is EXPENSIVE – do not walk in with less than $ 50 cash per person; lots more if you are a big eater or drinker. $ 30 of those dollars will go toward admission (adult; kids are about $ 20 – the extra $ 10 from my initial $ 50 is for inevitably paying for games) right off the bat, with the remaining giving you about one food item and one drink. I highly recommend an empty water bottle to keep hydrated. Also, in line with the Renaissance theme, the show is in the middle of the woods – no pavement, lots of tree roots. Strollers and wheelchairs can access everything, but it might be difficult.
I don’t advise going more than once a year. The permanent shows are pretty much the same each year, but that frees you up to follow the plot acts and see the new shows. Also, the vendors don’t change very much, but at least you can be fairly certain you can save up for that outfit or weapon that caught your eye.
KRF is a permanent site with permanent structures, which thematically puts it way ahead of the other local Ren Faires. I LOVE that you get to enter a new world rather than walking among camping canopies on a re-​purposed baseball field as at many other Faires.
As an avid Ren Faire goer, I can’t go more than a year or two without opening my purse a little wider and coming here. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but it’s also a good time.

Fortunately, we won 4 free tickets.
Unfortunately, we chose to go on a day not covered by the ticket.
Fortunately, The Patriots were playing and it was really cold outside so not many people went to the faire. Therefore the ticket taker allowed us to use the tickets.
Unfortunately, every other thing in the place other than the trees you have to pay to get in to.
Fortunately the stage shows were free.
Unfortunately the stage performers asked for tips at the end of the performances.
Fortunately, Daniel the guy who juggled flaming torches and stood on his head was excellent.
Unfortunately, the food was really expensive. $ 11 for a turkey leg! $ 4 for a small bag of nuts.
Fortunately we ate ahead of time and only spent $ 20 total on food.
Unfortunately we spent $ 4 to get into the castle to see mannequins being tortured.
Fortunately we spoke to the ceramic vendors who were very interesting to speak with.
Unfortunately most of the vendors were very expensive.
My final assessment is that I am glad we went but would not have gone if we didn’t win the tickets. If you do choose to go pretend food is like going to the casino and plan how much you want to spend ahead of time because the tickets can only be purchased in $ 5 increments. It’s something to see once but I don’t anticipate returning.

We were super excited to visit (1^st timers) but I wish I’d known what I was getting myself into before visiting King Richards Faire. With a little more planning it might have been slightly more enjoyable. I bought the tickets online with AAA discount that took $ 6 each which was a big savings. The cash-​only thing is medieval itself but not in a good way. The stores and shops all take credit cards, so I think they can invest in the technology. The food and beverage ticket idea is such a scam in my opinion. Can only buy them in $ 5 increments yet all the food is oddly priced so you end up overbuying a huge pile of tickets. We ended up with so much at the end that we stopped at the Sweets Shop and brought home a ton of chocolate.
The shows were mildly entertaining. Definitely see the 3^rd jousting show, big cat show (seats fill up fast so get there super early) and aerial dancers. Washing Well Wenches was… gross. As an actor I didn’t see the hype and when they licked a random mans head in the audience and spilled his beer on his child’s stroller, they lost my vote. The Torture Show was good but one of the only shows with a PG-​13 rating. The Wench show 100% was not kid friendly at all and deserved the rating. The biggest turnoff was the actors begging for tips. I totally understand having to make a living, but with the amount you pay to attend and the little you get for it (all games and rides are extra $) they should pay their entertainment more so they don’t have to beg for money.
People watching made it worth it. I don’t think I’ll go back until I have my own kids.

Planned a trip with friends and coworkers to King Richard’s Columbus Day weekend.
My impression is based on my experience to two other faires I’ve frequented.

I intended to write a review about the exorbitant pricing and poor quality of King Richard’s, and it would seem many others have reaffirmed my impression.
The faire is quite expensive, entry currently runs 29 dollars per person for entry (adults).
To give you an idea of the food prices:
$ 11 — turkey leg
$ 10 — Bud light (really?)
$ 7 — glass of wine (Copper Ridge — 9 dollars a bottle)
$ 4 — Bottle of water (criminal)
The faire grounds are well shaded by tress, so you won’t likely bake in the sun.
Though watch your step, as the trees also have lots of exposed roots.
Most of the theaters for the shows were too small to accommodate the crowds and the audio was poor. They had mics, but it seemed that they only worked some of the time. The cat show was particularly bad. It seemed that they didn’t amplify some of the musicians, so they were completely unhearable unless you were sitting on top of them.
The shows we were able to hear had a few laughs, but most of the humor was lowbrow jokes and innuendo.
Pros:
They don’t charge for parking… yet.
Some entertaining shows.
Fair grounds are well shaded by trees.
Cons:
High priced, extremely low quality food and drink.
The feeling the acts are not being paid well, lots of asking for tips, and no merchandise sales.
Bad audio.
All, in all, King Richard’s is just a ‘Meh’.
I’ve probably blown 90 bucks on worse, but you can certainly blow it on better that doesn’t take you an hour to drive to for the ‘privilege’.

Haven’t been here in about 17 years. Still pricey as ever but also a blast. Our first stop was to watch Jack the Whipper perform and what an awesome show it was. Best I’ve seen in a long time. Advice for all attendees. Buy your food tickets early to avoid the long line come lunch time.
Lots of great shops to wander in and spend a fortune. I plan a budget and stick to it as you can easily drop a few hundred dollars here. If you see stuff you like ask for a business card and look them up online. Often times you’re bound to get a better deal during off season.

Just a head’s up to moms and families in the Massachusetts area that are planning to attend King Richard’s Faire. I was communicating with them about bringing in food for my toddler and newborn and I was informed of the following: «There is also a private area inside our medical quadrant for those guests who wish to breastfeed on site. As we have many people with a variety of likes and dislikes, as well as families who do not wish their children to be exposed to a feeding mom, we would ask our guests who would like to breastfeed to use that area only.» We were also told that we cannot bring in ANY food for our 2 year old. This is not a family friendly place.

I had no idea what to expect when I received free tickets to KRF (thanks, Unilocal!) for this past weekend, but I was excited to find out.
I was nervous to be in a minority of people who didn’t dress up, but it was probably ⁶⁰⁄₄₀ or ⁷⁰⁄₃₀ plainclothes vs. costumes.
When we entered the realm, I was overwhelmed with possibilities! What to do first? Head to Canterbury Kitchens for some food? Stroll down York or King’s Way to browse the extensive marketplace? Practice my archery in the Gaming Glen or go to one of the 6 stages (not including the kid’s cove or tournament field) for some entertainment?
The pros:
+Free parking
+Many funny, kind people working there
+Some great free shows! My favorite was hands down the «Squire on the Wire.» Michael is hilarious and very acrobatically talented! «Great Cats of the World» was also better than expected – I was glad to see that the people running the show (from a park in Oregon) seem to care deeply about the animals. While it was entertaining, it was also educational and seemed like the animals were well cared for.
+Some of the desserts were awesome – highly recommend the Chocolate Chip Cookie (perfectly soft in the middle) and the chocolate fudge (softer than expected, but rich, sugary, delicious)
The cons:
–Food is grossly overpriced. Make sure to scout out all of the prices beforehand and have a plan in place when you buy food tickets so you don’t have to waste any. You can only buy in $ 5 increments and they are non-​refundable.
–The savory food is not great. I had a small Shepard’s Pye for $ 8 and I’ve had better pies for $ 1 from the frozen section of the grocery store. Blegh.
–It’s very dusty in some areas since it’s in the woods. Wear shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty and sunglasses to keep the particles out of your eyes.
–The «no smoking» rule is not advertised/​enforced well. We saw multiple people smoking, particularly near the tournament field/​bathrooms.
Overall, STRATEGY IS KEY HERE: use Groupon to get discounts on the entry fees and scope out the food prices before purchasing food tickets so you don’t waste any. Also, take advantage of the myriad of free shows to get your money’s worth – be sure to print out the schedule from the website as it’s confusing to figure out when you get there (signs are posted near each stage, but they’re far apart and hard to compare).
I don’t think this is something I’ll go to again, but it’s certainly a fun, out of the ordinary one-​time experience, especially for kids!

I went to King Richard’s Faire on Saturday ⁹⁄₂₆ with my in-​laws. We were a group of 7, all adults.
We had a wonderful day and stayed at the Faire from open till close! (10:30 AM — 6 PM)
It was Game of Thrones theme day and everyone was dressed up. My sister-​in-​law Jen won the Game of Thrones trivia contest at 4 PM that day!
We spent the day watching the shows (and taking pictures of other guests in character).
The 1^st show we stopped by was Jacques Ze Whippeur (a funny guy that does whip tricks). I’d recommend seeing Jacques more than once. He changes up his show depending on which stage he’s preforming at. We could hear his whip cracks to music when we were waiting for the joust at the Tournament area.
Then we checked out «The Mud Show» by the Sturdy Beggars. The dialogue was humor that went over kids heads, but the adults enjoyed. Example, naming one side of the audience the Trojans and having their cheer involve «we will never break». It was juvenile humor when it came to the mud, but overall a fun time.
We wandered around the grounds a bit, seeing the axe throwing booths and some rides (extra $$ to try but fun to watch for free).
The Royal Parade had every staff member in it and an adorable child on a pony that had a unicorn horn! I enjoyed that many staffers dressed up as Game of Thrones characters too and said lines in character during the parade to the faire attendees.
Word to the wise — go to the ATM before you get to the fair. The food is cash only and you need to buy tickets in increments of $ 5 that are then redeemed for food at the food booths. There is an ATM on site if you forget, but it has a surcharge. Credit cards are useless for food here.
I tried a turkey leg for $ 11 and it was huge. I couldn’t finish it, but it was tasty. The cheese fries were OK for $ 5. One of my sister-​in-​laws said the hot apple cider for $ 3 was worth it. There are also chicken fingers & cupcakes available, so even picky eaters should be able to find something.
During lunch, we caught some of the Aerial Show, featuring women using silks to preform high off the ground.
After lunch we saw some of the Great Cats of the World Show. It filled up quickly and we couldn’t see much from the back, but we did catch a glimpse of a white tiger and a black panther.
We saw 3 jousting shows on the Tournament Field. Pretty fun to watch!
By then, it was time to get to the King’s Stage to compete in the Game of Thrones trivia and costume contests.
While we were waiting we saw the Mis-​Adventurers Swashbuckling Swords & Hilarity and Promises, Prom Misses Musical Comedy finale shows. Both were OK but I’d probably skip «Promises» for my next visit.
My husband, father-​in-​law, and sister-​in-​law Jen competed in the Game of Thrones trivia contest and Jen won the whole thing!
My sister-​in-​law Jackie and mother-​in-​law competed in the Game of Thrones costume contest. Too many people dressed as Daenerys which I heard someone comment on when I replayed the video I took on my phone of the costume contest.
Finally, we saw the Joust to the Death and Evening Revels.
During the Evening Revels 2 cast members got engaged! It was so sweet.
Thank you King Richard’s Faire for a wonderful day of fun! We’ll be back next year.

I LOVE renaissance faires and have been to the ones in Chicago and a few in NYC and NYS. So I was excited about a faire sitting on 80 acres. My husband and I took our son to what we thought was going to be a fun event.
When we get to the entrance we are practically strip searched along with our bags including our stroller. I brought in water to make my sons formula and a tall boy of beer for my husband. We were told we could not bring any food or drink from the outside in. So I asked if we could come back to our car later to eat lunch because we knew prices were going to be high. We were told that once we leave there is no readmittance.
So basically they search you, not to keep you safe but to make sure you are forced to spend EVERY available dollar you have with them.
As soon as we passed «inspection», my husband lit a cigar because he didn’t see any non smoking signs. He had previously smoked at the ny renaissance faire.
Out of nowhere a clerk from a costume rental shop dressed in purple and black yells at my husband at the top of his lungs that there was no smoking. My husband was about to put it out when he saw a few people next to us smoking as well. As my husband turns to walk away the guy yells again this time he’s threatening to put him out and basically making a scene. When we turn to him he is staring my husband down. He puts the cigar out while others continued to walk through the park smoking??? I guess one of the perks of being a clerk at a costume rental store inside a faire means that you get to power trip with a poorly done british accent. Who knew?
After the «inspection» and self important clerk we were not really in the mood to spend money. However, we still had to wait in one line to buy tickets, then another line to pay for food. Smart right? :-/​And you still have to stand in certain lines to get certain things. They dont sell beer, water, and turkey legs in the same line.
Then every «ride», game, and meal was a rip off. $ 4 to climb as rope? $ 11 for a turkey leg? $ 4 for water? $ 5 for pop? What does my $ 29 exactly pay for? I usually tip the bartenders, performers, and restaurant workers but we just felt too robbed to give anymore. After spending $ 100 on food and drinks (including the water to make my son’s formula), and not including the $ 58 we spent to get in, I can honestly say we will never return. The set up wasn’t as fancy as other faires either. We just expected a lot and got so little. This place is basically a money trap in renaissance clothing. If I wanted to get robbed by self absorbed characters I’d go to Disney or Great America. At least there my $ 150 includes tall thrill rides, shows, and the option to picnic with your own food and drinks. Here $ 150 got me street performers asking for more money, being forced to pay for over priced gas station food and drink, and rides that you could find in your local park like a rope and a swing. But I guess as long as they are wearing a renaissance costume and screaming «my lord and lady» then somehow it makes this crappy experience worth it for some people? Not us!

Having read some of the other reviews here, I want to base mine on the practical side of our recent experience and then hopefully folks won’t come to Carver expecting something different than what they encounter.
We paid around $ 50 for the two of us to enter using a AAA discount — we had printed our tickets at home and entered easily on Sunday morning close to 10:30am. We spent an additional $ 100 or so on food and adult beverages, and another handful of $ 5’s and $ 1’s on tipping performers. By the end of the day we figure we were in for about $ 200 all told. We did not buy any merchandise or souvenirs. Maybe next trip. ;)
Yes, you need to buy food and beverage tickets separately from the food and beverage, and in $ 5 increments. Yes the food seems «pricey», although the adult beverage prices seem about on target for events like this. Yes, you are a captive audience, and yes you will probably have a few odd tickets left over at the end of the day. But why are you here? Something new and different and fun? Then stick with me for a bit.
We watched only the early joust, and enjoyed it a great deal. We saw a few shows, and my beloved and normally very quiet spouse was kissed by a mud man — probably the highlight of my year thus far. The shows are bawdy, irreverent, and occasionally politically incorrect. But that’s part of the fun of a faire of this nature — let your hair down, forget about the real world, and just laugh your butt off at crass humor and people in strange garb — like the guy being dragged about in a lizard suit on a length of chain by his female companion. Just relax. Let go, and have some fun. If you are not consuming your first adult beverage within a half hour of entering, you are probably doing it wrong.
Yes, the bathrooms are pretty nasty — anyone been to a local country fair? I’ve been to four this year, and they’ve all had horrible toilets. These are porta-​potties with all the misery those entail. Know before you go. Bring hand sanitizer, and be prepared to hold your nose.
We had a turkey leg — I just love a good smoked turkey leg and have been known to deprive myself of food all day to partake of one in other settings (think big rat down south with big white hands and a host of animal pals), so having one here was a requirement. It was excellent. My husband had a bread bowl of chowder, and while not the most exquisite thing he’s ever consumed, it did the job. The kettle corn is an excellent value, and the fries were pretty good, if a bit under-​done — but it was late in the day and stocks were low.
I’ve brought my kids here in years past — once as part of a homeschool field trip, and again on a weekend. Most certainly on the weekend the vibe is different — more geared toward adults, who are blowing off steam from grown-​up world by popping into a low-​cut dress and donning a pair of ankle boots and pretending for a few hours that they are princesses and princes, or pirates and wenches, or just anyone who doesn’t wear a tie or a power suit.
My best advice is this — get yourself a wench costume or a pirate suit or some other completely anachronistic bit of cosplay garb, prepare to get slightly lit (but not wasted — there are both kids and cops about, remember!) and just lighten up, relax and have some fun. I personally can’t wait to return!

Based on what I’ve read here the Faire is something you either love or hate. I knew it wasn’t something that I would have normally enjoyed so I’ve never been. But when I saw a Groupon I jumped on it because I thought my young boys would enjoy it since they adore knights and swords. Correctly I assumed that they would love the jousting and we all did. It was by far the best part of the experience for our family. I would even say it was worth it to see the jousting but I do not see any reason to return.
The negatives far outweighed the positives for me. The food was poor and overpriced even by carnival standards. The fact that you had to stand in line to purchase tickets in $ 5 increments and then stand in line again to purchase food was ludicrous. $ 12 for a burger and fries and no, you don’t have the option to purchase just a burger or just a hot dog. And not even Disney World charges $ 5 for a cone of soft serve.
Compared to the jousting I found the other shows lacking and all the performers expected tips. I would gladly tip a street performer but isn’t the entertainment what they charge $ 29 a head for? We weren’t able to get seats for the cat show and I never came across the wenches show so I can’t speak to those. The other activities for kids were shockingly expensive. $ 3 for your child to climb a 6ft rope ladder? $ 4 for swings. Are you kidding me?
Finally, while there were no smoking signs posted there was smoke everywhere. And the bathrooms are gross.
I’m sure this review seems harsh. I can see the appeal of the place. I really enjoyed seeing the costumes and the performances. I appreciate the fact that it’s pretty much anything goes. It was refreshing to enter this type of venue and not have my bag checked or my body searched. I hope that never changes. I just wanted to share my perspective as someone who was looking for a family friendly activity.

Fun for the whole family, but keep in mind that it is rather expensive. I’d recommend getting coupons from a local store (lots of places have coupons for them when the season comes around) or get a groupon. Food and drinks are able to be purchased by ticket only. You have to buy $ 5 worth of tickets at a time so you may get stuck with leftover non-​refundable food tickets but that happens at lots of fairs.
There are tons of shows which are pretty amusing and rows of cool little shops. My only real complaint is that people smoke everywhere. I always go in expecting to spend a good amount so I don’t get too upset over dropping the cash.

I’m English and I’ve always wanted to do one of these Renaissance fairs — finally got to do it last week. I had an absolute blast. Yes, it’s expensive, it’s tacky and it’s not exactly high-​brow entertainment but that’s the point! This place will appeal to your inner child/​nerd — if you’re super serious and have a hard time having fun you might struggle, but otherwise jump right in and have a good time!

+ All the staff are having a blast and trying hard to make the day special
+ The Washing Well Wenches (best act by far! Extremely crude and hilarious)
+ Everybody seems to be in a great mood and it’s a great place to meet and have fun with new people
+ For some reason there is insane pushed up cleavage everywhere you look? (Positive depending on how you feel about that)
— Food and drinks are very expensive — be prepared!
— Some of the soul is sucked out by the constant bombardment for $$$
— Some of the entertainment is a bit lame
Helpful hints
* Sign up to the mailing list and/​or check groupon/​voucher sites for deals instead of paying full price
* Eat a huge breakfast before arriving to save money on extortionate food prices
* Consider «accidentally» sneaking a personal sized bottle of alcohol in if you are planning on drinking: D
* If you have one, make sure to remember to leave the stick in your butt at the door and enjoy the experience for what it is!
* Despite constant reminders of bag checks before you enter we didn’t see a single bag get checked on the way in?

All I can do is laugh at the reviews you people leave. ONE if you’re a broke person don’t go here, but then again do you go broke to a movie theater, or festival or concert or carnival? I didn’t think so. If something happens once a year why would you assume it’s going to be cheap.
Now about KRF it’s so much fun! Especially if you participate and dress up, and act like the medieval times. The entrance fee is 29.00 per person I have no clue why people complain it isn’t a lot. Any-​who the shows are funny make sure to see as many as possible. Each act is different, and are great for all ages. They do have a costume rental place I thought it was going to be expensive but it wasn’t and me and my fiancé looked great, and it makes the experience so much fun. The situation with the money is weird you buy tickets, and can only buy them with cash, but that’s how it was back in the day and if you want the experience why not have the whole experience. Last year I ended up with extra tickets but this year I didn’t :) !
I really enjoy the booths, and what the people sell. Bit pricey but what do you expect one of a kind things you won’t find in the stores. I also love the families I meet here, so kind and so into it. It’s great seeing kids enjoy it as well.
This is my second year in a row and another great time, free parking and tons of it. If you’re not going to participate why go? And even better if you’re going to complain about prices don’t go, just go to the movies and pay top dollar and complain about how bad the movie, popcorn and drink sucked :) !

I dont understand how any one with a brain enjoys coming to this place.
My six friends and I decided to go to KRF for a birthday celebration.
FIrst, the ticket prices are insane. $ 29 just to get in. Then, they make you buy meal/​drink tickets. (I left with 12 tickets in my pocket that I couldnt get refunded. another way they rob you blind.). Each ticket is a dollar. I started the day with 40 tickets ($ 40), Decided to get a beer… a 16oz Coors Light draft… 10 tickets. WOW. What a rip off.
Then, we get hungry. The food is about the quality of a gas station. I got chicken fingers and fries… for 12 tickets… 3 chicken fingers, and a handful of soggy fries for 12 tickets!!!
The shows are somewhat entertaining… but its the same script they have had for YEARS. Time to switch it up!
The only thing I really enjoyed was the Well Washing Wenches. They are hysterical! And they go off script, which makes the audience interact even more with the performance. they are the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one…
However, after every performance the performers come out to the audience with a sack and basically beg for tips… «The Mud Show» has made tipping part of their act… Whoever gets more tips, doesnt have to eat the mud. CAN YOU SAY TACKY?! I just paid xyz monies to get and and get food/​beer and you want me to tip too??? I think not.
I would suggest to anyone thinking about going to really think about the money you want to spend. If you enjoy dropping over $ 200 for bad food, overly priced beer and mediocre performances, this place is for you.
Oh, and make sure you wear deodorant! Apparently its optional for performers and patrons.

Total waste of money and time. All it is is you pay $ 30 per person to enter a place that serves food the quality of which you get at a gas station convenience store and pay top dollar for it. And entrance into the place provides nothing but options to over pay for very mediocre activities or stuff you’d never want to buy. But you can watch performers for price of admission, but nothing better than you’d find with free street performers in the city. But maybe you’ll think different about it, it draws a crowd, I just can’t see why

This past season we visited King Richard’s Faire for the third time and we were reminded that we can truly classify ourselves as nerds.
Everytime we come to this medieval faire we have a blast watching the performers, exploring the shops, as well as dining on their delicious mutton. A few times we have taken part in their archery and knife throwing competitions, but its a shame we are terrible.
The only reason we didn’t give this faire a higher score is because the cost to enter the faire is expensive, and there are limited free events and shows. Some of the actors here are pushy for tips, but typically they are respectful and we tend to tip them the most.
In the end, we always have fun here but be prepared to shell out some decent money if you actually want to participate in the activities here.

Hadn’t been in years so I sort of forgot how fun this place was. We had a GREAT time.
#1 complaint by most is that it is expensive. So here is a breakdown.
Admission Tickets: Found out you can buy them at Walgreens for $ 26. This gave us both a savings and prevented us from getting in line once we arrived. Otherwise they are like $ ²⁹⁄₃₁ at the door.
Parking: Big FREE lot.
Entertainment: There are a lot of performances throughout the place that are all free. However the talent asks for tips at the end.
Tickets/​Cash: You need to buy tickets (sold there and CASH ONLY) which are then used to buy your food and drinks. This is annoying but is what it is. Beer, sm $ 8 lg $ 10. Mead $ 6 (for a very small cup, not worth it). Turkey leg: $ 11. Chicken fingers and fries: $ 8. These are just some examples of fees. They have an ATM there, but if you want to spare yourself the atm fee then BRING CASH.
Games: There are games/​rides throughout. All of which you need to pay extra for, about $ 2 – 3. They do take cash for these and they are all fun, like axe toss and crap like that.
Bathroom: They aren’t pretty, trailer outhouses. I’m only 5′ but my face basically hits the door because the space is so tight. Oh well.
I had a great time here and I would suggest it to anyone. Most attendees dress up, but you don’t have to (I never have). The talent are all great performers. They work hard, but clearly don’t get paid enough hence them all asking for tips. I didn’t tip heavily, which I feel bad for but for 2ppl I think I spent about $ 150.

Dress up if you can. It makes the experience more enjoyable. However, if Daddy Warbucks is with you visit the shop and buy or rent a costume there. The food is typical fair food and can’t be purchased directly. In order to buy food you must buy tickets $ 1 each in $ 5 increments. Don’t be a baby about having to shell out $ 11 for a turkey leg bcz the pic eating it is priceless (see profile pic to the left) but TBH we couldn’t tell if it was turkey or ham. Odd. And for my drinking crowd not to worry, there’s beer and wine available.
The entertainment is ok but the Wet Wenches are hilarious «We work for tips — stay in school kids» lol. The jousting is everyone’s favorite and the mud show is pretty neat too. The times are listed so go early so you can schedule the day around the show times.
The crafts and weapons sold by the vendors are a bad mother– shut your mouth! I held a hand made Spiked Mace that weighed a ton! But there are also small wooden jewelry boxes, handmade staffs, and sculpted candles. Once again: bring Daddy Warbucks.
Lastly, the faire grounds has a lot of exposed tree roots so watch where you step and don’t fall. Oh yea, bring Daddy Warbucks to have some real fun without regretting having shelled out a fortune.
