An Occasional Shop in Carver, MN. We find and repurpose vintage, antique, rustic, retro and industrial home furnishings and décor — for you to reuse and relove. We also sell locally-​made (MN) arts, crafts, and products.

History

Established in 2012.

The startup of two DIY-​home-​decorators, Carver Junk Company opened in September 2012, as an occasional shop in the historic district of downtown Carver, MN. We currently find, buy, refurbish (or not) all of the antique and vintage items in the store ourselves. We also work with local MN-​based artists and business owners to provide new gift-​type products in our store, including soaps, candles, jewelry, and linens.

Brandy-​Chad D.

Business Owner

Brandy: A full-​time corporate IT manager by day, it’s always been on her bucket list {yes, a real one} to own a small, local arts and crafts business. She’s always been a crafter, having done stained glass and mosaic work for the better part of the last 10 years — as well as short spurts of interest in things like soap-​making, sewing, candle-​making, painting, and gardening. Lucky for her, she met the perfect guy for me, who shares her dreams of entrepreneurship, treasure hunting, and making their house a comfortable, eclectic nest of their own.

Chad: He’s a snow-​fort carpenter by day {at least that’s what his Facebook profile would have you believe}, and handyman/​decorator-​co-​decision-​maker by night. Along with their three {3} crazy, wonderful dogs, they’re starting up the rest of otheir lives in a fantastic historic town on the Minnesota river, forever midwesterners, — and hoping that otheir little dream turns into a life-​long adventure in «junking.»
