DSE Replacement Windows & Doors

Tim at DSE does an outstanding job. I had him install windows in my home, replacing old aluminum windows in a contemporary style house. The difference was immediate and dramatic. Windows were over $ 500 cheaper than another window company that is known to be «affordable», and installation was done extremely well. Even my father, a meticulous builder for over 40 years, thought the installation was well done.
Tim worked around nap schedules for the kids, and around pets that would love to escape to the outdoors. When he was finished, he vacuumed up, and left everything clean, including the window glass.
The first thing that I noticed in the windows, was that I could no longer hear what was going on outside. As I stood looking out the windows, Tim was talking to his assistant, and for the first time, I had no idea what they were saying, or that they were even talking. It was wonderful! The second thing I noticed was that the side of the house that has the new windows stays about 5 degrees cooler than the side of the house that still has the old single pane windows. For a really hot summer, this was a welcome change. Haven’t experienced the winter yet, but the low-​e windows should be even better on energy savings during the cold months.
Only drawback… don’t expect it to be done the same day. In fact, it will take a few weeks to a month. As it was explained to me, the windows are custom built (here in the USA), and are sized to fit each opening individually, which takes time. As they say, there’s price, quality, and speed, and you get to pick two. If price and quality are the two that you want, DSE got the job done for my family, and Tim is a great guy who knows his stuff, in my opinion.

We’ve hired several contractors do work on our house over the last 11 years. Tim has been, by far, the most honest, ethical, professional and fairly priced contractor we’ve worked with. I recommend him to everyone I know who needs to repair or replace windows.
