I have been coming here for years and it is always a great experience. The staff is very friendly and they are very focused on what they do. Parking is a little difficult because each building tenant owns so many spaces but there is hardly ever a wait when I come here. The price is very inexpensive as well (Cash or Check only)

Worst experience ever, I came here bc of the reviews n I made the biggest mistake! I came here and aSked for an asymmetrical bob cut and told the guy I wanted it above shoulder length, what he gave me was neck length. It wasn’t even an asymmetrical bob cut! He cut it straight on the back and just left the front long and called it an asymmetrical bob. The back doesn’t even blend into the front and one side is longer then the other! Ugh I can’t even get this haircut fixed bc it’s so short! Never again! Also it seemed like the guy didn’t even know what he was doing! He kept dropping the scissors and brush!

After going to Salon 2000 for the first time today (and yes I asked for John), I am very satisfied with my haircut. It’s hard to find hairstylists who cut layers well, and John did a great job! I would definitely recommend this salon for haircuts. The procedure was also quick, so everything was efficient.
The price was also very satisfactory. $ 20 for the haircut. I only wish they had a list of services that was displayed with the price, or perhaps they can show it when the customer walks in. That way, it feels more professional.
The place also needs a bit of remodelling because it is cluttered and looks a bit old. This is a criteria that can determine the kind of crowd and also the amount of customer traffic that the Salon will bring in.

Jon has been cutting my hair since I was 3 I am 18 now. he is a hair master and knows how to cut. Nothing «choppy» love you tita jon ! I also live in Fullerton now so for me to go all the way over there just for a cut says a lot about his work.

I had a terrible experience here! I came because of the reviews not knowing they only specialized is straight hair. My hair is a bit curly and they managed to not only damage it, but when I asked for it blow dried they blew air at it instead of using a round brush and the flat iron pulled at my hair while I held back tears. My boyfriend who picked me up was surprised by the fact that I’m able to achieve pin straight hair at home and they where not able to even make it look semi straight. This salon not only made my hair orange, but it made it a frizzy mess as well. It took me forever to bring it back to life and I was short 90 bucks. So much for my first salon experience, I will not be returning! They should have given me a refund!

I went here 3 times so far because it’s close by the church I go to. They were alright the first 2 times but the third time just chopped the cucumber. I got the short end of the straw because I had some new recruit. He was cutting my hair and I told him to leave my bangs ALONE! He still chopped the whole thing off like he saw a cockroach on the toilet seat. I wanted to walk away but then he started bragging about what hair college he went to? IDK. I’m a guy so I’m not sure. The other ladies were alright tho. He expected me to give him a tip. I guess you get what you pay for.

I”m currently waiting for my turn (I came in early) and decided to write this review.
I’ve been coming to see Jon since high school, which means I’ve been coming here for 10 years! Yikes, that’s a long time! I didn’t realize it until now :/
Anyway, I only get haircuts from him and no one else. Well… There was this one time. When I make up my mind to get a haircut, I almost become neurotic about the idea. I couldn’t stand my hair anymore and so I made an appointment with someone else because Jon was off that day. That was a very bad call because my hair did NOT turn out well! I’ve learned my lesson.
Appointments are easy to make. The entire staff is friendly.

Awesome I think i’m the first (straight) guy to post something on this saloon.
I normally have a family member cut my hair because she knows how my hair is, but whoever had me (older Filipina with glasses and brown hair) she cut it almost as well as my cousin. However, I will say this: she still managed to make it work.
Why 5 stars? Because of the customer service they provided, the way she listened to my requests, she knew what kind of hair style I had in mind, and my haircut was 12 bucks! Holy crap what a deal!
Overall I think this place is underrated according to the other reviews so check it if you’re feeling bold.

I love this place, it’s run buy a Pilipina but her make up/hairstylist John is awesome. I had them do my hair and make up for my wedding and everything came out perfect. I wore a Vietnamese headress and didn’t want to wear my hair up. I showed John a picture of hairstyle that I want and had to fit it around the headress that I was going to wear. John uses high end products such as mac and shui imura. I must warn you he goes crazy with eyelash curler, it was worth the effort. I brought my cousins and aunt here and they all came out looking beautiful. John did a really good job.

I have been coming here for 8 years now! This is the place to go for quality, reasonably priced haircuts! $ 15?! Yessir, this is THEE place!
John is thee BEST! I have sooo much hair (really thick too), and John is the only person I know who knows how to cut it so that it’s manageable with amazing shape! I come all the way from West LA to Carson, just to get my haircut! That’s the only downside for me. Seriously. I’ve tried other salons nearby and people really don’t understand how to cut my hair. So I always end up back at Salon 2000 with John because he has a really great eye for what will look good with your face shape, and gives amazing cuts!
John also does great hair styling and makeup! I used him for my proms, debuts, etc. Everything came out amazing! I look back and I’m still super happy with my looks for those nights!
Come here, and ask for John! You’ll be super happy with you decision!

I’ve been here to get a haircut a couple of times, and yes — John is GREAT! He is very efficient and listens. He once told me that he’s so fast because he’s been cutting hair for over 15 years, although you would never believe it because he has such a baby face.
Be forewarned though. He has a tendency to cut a little bit too short. I asked for 3 inches, I’m certain he cut off more! In the end, I was grateful, because that’s how much I needed to have trimmed in order for me to be rid of the damaged ends. Sooooo, if you want 3 inches cut off, ask for 2, or if you’re bold, 2 and a half. Also, it’s very affordable (about $ 15 a haircut), so tip well!
