History
Established in 2001.
The founder of Salim’s Taekwondo Center, Inc. is Gergely Salim and Sabrina Salim. Our two other locations reside in Carson and Burbank.
Master Salim is a 6th Dan Certified Kukkiwon black belt.
In 1991, Master Gergely Salim won a gold medal at the World Championships in Athens, Greece. Next year he participated in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain and claimed a gold medal. Master Salim also won three consecutive European Championships from 1990 – 1994 as a member of the Danish national Taekwondo team.
Mrs. Salim is a 4th Dan certified Kukkiwon black belt. She also earned her black belt in Kenpo and green in Shaolin Kung Fu. However her passion always stayed with Taekwondo. In 2010 Mrs. Salim qualified for the US Olympic Team Trials.
Salim’s Taekwondo Center, Inc. has been a positive influence in the community for more than 9 years. With our dedicated staff and instructors you can be sure that your child is receiving the best training possible.

Thank you for your interest in Salim’s Taekwondo Center, Inc. Our head instructors, the Salim brothers are world known competitors and instructors. They have won numerous medals including World Cup and World Championship, 8 times European Championships, 3 times Olympian and a gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. They are two of the most experienced Taekwondo players in the world having coached many students that have qualified and gone on to compete in the Olympics; as well as coach during the 88, 92, & 2000 Olympic Games. As teachers and coaches, the Salim brothers have also had great success within the last seven years. Our school has already produced 8 National Champions, as well as numerous gold, silver, and bronze medalists from various tournaments all over California and the U.S.
