History

Established in 1964.

Bob’s Barber Shop was the original name and was owned by Bob for about 35 years. Bob retired and sold the shop to Erick Rosas. Erick maintained a successful business for 15 years and sold the business…

As the current owner I’ll be going on my sixth year anniversary this coming September.

This is a really chill spot and close to home. The guys there all seem very friendly and professional. I had Juan ‘Suave’ do a fade and he did a great job. I found a new barber shop and hope to continue to go to ‘Suave’ in the future. Just a heads up — cash only

First time ever being to this shop. I walked in with no greeting or anything but my experience was pretty great and I’m in love with my cut. Im really conscious of the people who cut mt hair and well Jorge killed it! The shop has a chill vibe and all of the guys there cut great. Definitely going to keep coming back to this shop to get my hair cut from now on.

Went in on a Saturday morning for my son’s haircut. Great service and my son’s haircut came out fresh and on point. I recommend P-​Weez Barber Shop to the locals in Carson or anyone looking to get a good haircut! I forget the name of the guy who cut my son’s hair, but he had great customer service!

I brought my girlfriend’s kids here during the Thanksgiving break to get a much needed haircut. They did a great job with the kids’ hair. The shop is usually busy and is first-​come, first-​serve. They do an excellent job and are great with kids.

This is my nieghbor hood barber go to. My main is too far at times and I am happy to have found a great barber here!
I have Lupe do my clean up and she also does my trim on top. She textures my hair (being I have alot of hair) and styles.
She is very open minded to my visions of hair cuts and is always giving her best to give me the cut I want.
the other barbers there from what I seen everytime I’m there also do a great job. So if lupe isn’t around I feel confident in trying one of the guys :)
The place is clean and the price is what makes me happy! Reasonable price and good vibes.

Been coming here for about a Year now ! I always Cut my hair with that one guy that has that gay cowboys flag behind him «EDWIN» … He leaves my hair fresh all the time, he makes appointments too, the whole squad cuts fresh there so if your debating on going to this spot, it’s Worth it !

P-​Weez is the best barbershop around town. I tried many barbershops in the area for my young son who is mixed and always walked away dissatisfied with the haircut. I tried P-​Weez and specifically Jorge on a whim and have never gone anywhere else. Jorge understands mixed hair, takes time to edge/​line him and even cleans him up with a razor. It is the cleanest cut. The shop overall is friendly. I believe all barbers there to be skilled. Some require appointments ahead of time but I will say if you have an appointment scheduled you are in the chair at that time. Walk in wait is not extraordinarily long like other barbershops. Finally the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I am a loyal customer and have been getting my hair cut there for 5 plus years. Never had a problem with my hair cut and everyone there is friendly with positive attitudes. If your on a tight schedule you can make an appointment if not, they always accept walk-​ins. Reasonable prices for both cuts and products. Never a dull moment there if your waiting they have music playing, TV, and plenty of magazines. It’s worth it check it out!!!

Have been coming hear for almost 2 years now and I must say it is my go-​to place for my cuts. It’s hard for me personally to find someone who is able to cut and style my hair clean and still look good. But since I came here, I have had no problems at all. I get my cuts from the owner Jorge and he does a great job. I don’t even need to tell him how to cut my hair since he knows what to do already! There were even times when we tried something different and he still did a good job. Jorge and his staff gives really good customer service and makes you feel comfortable when you are there. Everyone is pretty chill and easy to talk to!

Lupe is my hero!!! I am so forever grateful to her for fixing the terrible haircut he received a few days before at Snip-It’s in El Segundo (please see review I left for them for reference). Lupe was very good with my 3 year old son and she was great to talk to. My son usually has a 1 clip used on him and he responded very well to being in a «grown up» haircut place. The wait was not bad at all considering it was a Friday afternoon and we were a «walk-​in» first time customer. Now that I know Lupe’s schedule, we will be seeing her every 6 weeks for my son’s haircut. I really should have taken pictures of my son’s horrible cut so you all could see how great of a job Lupe did without having to shave off all of my son’s hair!

Came across this place on Unilocal because I was looking for a new barber closer to the Southbay. After reading all the good reviews, I decided to give this place a try.
Came in, waited a few minutes, and I was seated. I asked for a skin fade and even showed the guy a picture of how I wanted it to be cut. Kind of hard to mess up a skin fade but… ended up having an uneven ring around my head because the guy clearly didn’t know how to fade. Can’t say it was the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten, but it was definitely one of the worst. It was definitely not worth the $ 14 I paid plus tip. But at least the guy was nice and tried to fix it even though he made it even worst lol.

Funny thing is I came here by chance back in 2012 when «Eddies Barber Shop» jacked up my cut. Called Jorge and was able to salvage my intense, uneven high fade with the «yea we can do a line up, just drink my free beer»
JORGE HOOKED IT UP and I’ve been going here ever since. Now I’m originally from LA but have been living in SD since ’12. I can’t seem to find a shop that provides the cleanest fades, tapers, parts, you name it! No need for big ass shops with cars hanging on the wall or fancy looking ‘old school’ Barber shop style looks. Just go here and they’ll take care of you.
Jorge and his team are very courteous and professional. Yes, I drive up here every chance I get because they are that good.

First off, all these barbers are more than certified. I have received haircuts from every single person inside p’weez. I can say edwin does the best fades/​tapers
The people at p’weez go above and beyond when they cut hair. Whenever you get your haircut, you’ll always come out looking fresh. So definitely, i recommend this barbershop over any other barbershop in this area no doubt.
