Tried booking a appointment with a «stylist» here. I never heard a response from her. I don’t understand who wouldn’t like more clients. Also based on the reviews really glad I didn’t end up coming here.

Recently had my hair cut and I really liked it the stylist was very accommodating considering I was there with my one month old baby. Totally recommend this salon. They are under new management and she is awesome manager!

Rosita was my stylist, she was 30 minutes late with starting on my hair because she decided to take a lunch at the beginning of my scheduled appointment. So i asked for a temporary rinse which during application she did not follow the steps for a rinse and as a result my hair bled on everything until I washed it. So the style I requested was botched and DIDNOT hold up on my hair long enough for me to go to the event that i was scheduled to attend! And after consultation with another stylist it was determined that my hair was permanently dyed and is currently breaking off and falling out in patches… NEVERAGAIN!

I am very disappointed with this salon. This was my first, and will be the last time I walk in here to get my hair done! I came here because I had a coupon for $ 50 for a haircut, and color. Yesterday(Saturday) morning, I called to make an appointment, and the receptionist was rude. She was asking for my information, and talking to someone else at the same time. She had bad customer service. My appointment was at 2pm. When I arrived, I checked in with the receptionist and it seems as though she didn’t know what she was doing. I waited for about 10 – 15 minutes until the hairstylist walked in and called me to her station. The stylist is a lady by the name of Tanya. I told her I want a haircut and color. She ask me what style haircut I wanted. Keep in my mind, my hair length was down to my waist. I told her I wanted a trim with a layered style. More or less a long layers. While she was doing my hair, she never positioned me facing the mirror. That’s why I was unaware of how terrible the haircut was turned out. She is a slow stylist. Three hours later when she was finally done, I was very DISAPPOINTED!!! This is the first time someone has FUCKEDUPMYHAIR!!! She didn’t do the style I asked her to do. Instead she did a bob cut in the front. Nothing like a long layered cut that I asked for. It looked like it was two different types of hairstyles. I’m totally upset, and very DISAPPOINTED having my long hair done RIDICULOUSLYWRONG! I would NEVER recommend anyone to this JCPENNEY’S HAIRSALON, and to this stylist Tanya. When I was paying for this tremendously ugly haircut, Tanya had the nerve to ask me if I would like to add a tip on the card. I definitely said NO! I felt she didn’t deserve it! Again, I would NEVER recommend this place, especially to this stylist Tanya to anyone! I guess you do get what you pay for with an added miserable feeling. After leaving JCPENNEY salon, I went to my regular hair salon which I have gone to in the past. I had to have them fix my BADHAIRCUT. They ask me where did I get my haircut done. I was not embarrassed to say it was from JCPENNEY Salon in Carson. They said OMG this is a really bad haircut. So I said that’s why i’m here for you to fix it. After they did, it was much better. I felt more comfortable after it was fixed. I should have just gone to this salon in the first place to get my hair done. The $ 50COUPON for JCPENNEY Salon was a waste of my time, and money!!!

Ive been coming to this salon since I was a little girl. I trust Rosita with my hair because she cares for it like it is hers. It is very costly but is worth it if don’t want to the ghetto atmosphere most hair salons have and want to have a stylist that you can trust with your head.

Since my stylist was over booked and I didn’t feel like doing my own hair, I decided to give this place a chance. I been here before for a simple press n’ curl and came out satisfied. However, this visit was upsetting. The receptionist was friendly and booked me with a senior level stylist… Please note that there are different levels of mastery… Designer= beginner, Senior Designer and Master Designer. Each level has a different price. I wasn’t too happy to know a senior level charges $ 62, when I pay my own stylist a little less but I swallowed the uncertainty and went with it. Once the stylist started to wash my hair I noticed she was not getting into my scalp. She poured the products on top of my hair, slap her hands through and rinse. Each time she would rinse, I felt as if I was on a dang water ride! There was so much water slashing, I left the wash area with a soaked back and running makeup. She was kind enough to put my lace cardigan in the dryer/hang to dry… thank goodness I had a shell underneath. While touching up my massacre under the dryer, I noticed flakes were appearing around my edges. I told the stylist she did not rinsed out the conditioner throughly or didn’t shampoo. She told me «Don’t worry about it’s not what you think“and proceed to guide me to her chair. Once she started to blow dry and noticed it was flaking within my hair she directed back to the wash area. At this point I’m regretting the fact I even came. After going through another«water-ride» wash, I told her to just press(straighten) me out and I’ll do the rest home. She latter convinced me to allow her to flat iron and curl my hair. The finish work was disappointing when I could have done better, especially for $ 62! The only reason I’m giving 2 stars us because the staff was friendly, place of business was very clean and I did not have to wait very long as a walk-in. However, I learned a good $ 62 lesson: «Ill never be too lazy to do my own hair!»
