I went to Angelito’s Market to get Poke but found that Poke Etc. had moved to its own place a couple of doors down and Angelito’s Market had its own small menu of offerings which I decided to try out. During my first visit I got the Fried Chicken, egg roll, eggplant omelet, noodles and rice combo($ 5.99). It seems food is freshly prepared(or at-least some components are) after you order which is a very different experience from other Filipino turo-turo places. Another difference was that I could get the egg rolls with chicken. I generally drop the eggrolls but here they were able to customize as per my requirements. Kudos!!! Ten minutes later I was on my way with the food. Taste-wise it turned out to be pretty good. The chicken was perfectly fried, with a nice crunch outside and juicy inside. The egg rolls were perfectly fried with a nice crunch and tasted great. The only let down was the noodles which seemed to be thick, starchy and rubbery. The dish came together very well. During my next visit I tried the beef Caldereta, mix vegetables, egg rolls, noodles and rice combo($ 5.99). Again was able to get eggrolls with chicken and had the food in hand in less than 10 minutes. This time the taste was a letdown. The beef Caldereta was very average. Thankfully the beef was well cooked and not chewy. The egg rolls were a soft soggy mess that you get when they are re-heated and sent out. The steamed vegetables could use some seasoning and lastly the noodles lived up to their reputation of being crap. So two visits, two very different experiences. Pricewise it was really cheap. Overall I think that they have potential. I would rate this like a strong 3.5 stars rounded up to a 4. I will return periodically to try some more of their offerings and update my review accordingly.

Awesome Lumpia… they were crispy and tasty tight wrapped little rolls of goodness. The lady working the counter was very helpful and the place was clean. Cant wait to taste the rest of my food.

i saw the new and improved angelito’s market & was excited to try the food. i wanted to order everything on the menu but i stuck with the stuffed shrimp, pancit, veggies, rice and the torta eggplant omelette. most and all the entrees are $ 5.99 which is a very reasonable price for a lot of food. i love the torta, it’s almost as good as my lola’s(grandma’s) cooking. i had some of the tokwat baboy and it was as good as the dish in the philippines. the jalapeños and onions were really good tossed with the baboy(pork). i would definitely come back for this! the palabok sauce is really good and each order is enough to share for the family. keep note that this is a FOODTO-GO spot and there is only one table inside the market. i would order from angelito’s if i ever had a party. they are able to provide for large parties.

This venue is OK. It is located in in a small plaza with neighboring business whom share a private parking lot, so parking is very easy to find. Upon entrance, the venue is very small and items are cluttered around. The venue provides a notarizing service and small market inside. There is an old open cold unit station which use to serve fruits and vegetables that has been converted into a product area for chips and snacks(it looks horrible to be there). The back part of the venue has a small poke restaurant, which is great, but not for Angelito’s Market. Overall an OK place to grab a snack or get notarized paperwork, but just doesn’t seem to work together.

A tiny mini market that sells convenience foods, located in a small plaza(DJ Bibingkahan Restaurant is located in the same plaza) with plenty of parking. The only main draw of this little market is Poke Etc, a place that sells the freshest and most delicious(and affordable) poke(The poke is wonderful, but my 3 star rating is just for the market itself). If you need to do some serious food shopping, you should look elsewhere, but if you are looking for something different for lunch or dinner, then worth stopping by for the poke to go(there is only one tiny table and 2 chairs in here).

This is a Variety Place, Convenience Food to Go Store, Lottery, Money Transfer, Travel, Copies, Jewelry Maker/Repair, and All Notary Services. It’s actually a One Stop Shop for small errands purchase. They have been in the Business for Twenty Five(25) Years and OPEN Seven(7) Days. Monday to Saturday 8am to 8pm, Sunday 10am to 7pm. Very Interesting Small Shop.

its a small poke shop, inside of a mini mart that can also notarize documents. tell me that doesn’t intrigue you? I came almost to closing time… i’ll be frank and say that its«alright». If you want a quick fix and you live somewhere near the civic center then this is your place. Overall… I’d go here again and try other poke flavors… who knows. my rating may change. :)

I came here to try their poke. Helpful and friendly staff, but weird and random. Is it a market? Jewelry repair shop? Notary? Idk… all of the above and more!

This place is overwhelming… They sell lotto tickets, have a corner that does jewelry repair, have a western union, they do notary, sell Filipino food and they also sell ahi poke!!! Sorry I didn’t actually buy anything but as I was waiting for my cousin to handle her business 5 people came in to buy the poke… That’s got to mean something…

Fresh ahi poke right down the street from me! Yay! I tried the kimchi and the mail and it is so good! Is a tiny little market in a tiny little plaza and side of this tiny little market they have a few different shops but you’ll be surprised when you try this ahi poke! Delicious!

I have walked passed this market countless times over the years, have they always sold ahi poke? Regardless, I know now that they do! I must say it is pretty darn delicious! I’ve been on this Ahi Poke obsession for weeks now, driving to Rolling Hills, Torrance, San Pedro, and even Venice Beach when there was a place right in Carson. Their Ahi Poke is real simple and showcases the tuna real well! They don’t add avocado which a lot of different places do. I love avocado on my poke but this time, it didn’t need it. I also noticed that they mix very mild shrimp paste(bagoong) that isn’t too salty but adds to the mixture. After consuming my Ahi Poke Bowl, I felt satisfied without the guilt of never wanting to eat again! It was a great meal for branch and I am going to be a regular at this place!
