The Carson City, Nv Home Depot isn’t just a hardware store. We provide tools, appliances, outdoor furniture, building materials to Carson City, NV residents. Let us help with your project today!
This Home Depot is on the North side of Carson City by the Walmart. It’s not the most easiest store to get to where you have to wind your way all about the parking lots of Walmart. But you do finally get out to it, parking is usually no prob. I was with my BF to pick up some fencing lumber. We knew where the lumber was, so I just had to ask one of the people standing around where the fence boards were. There big stacks of them. I was surprised how cheap the boards were, just $ 2.00 bucks each! But I guess when you need 20 of them that adds up. Loaded them up and off we go to check out. The checker just takes our word for it how many we have. I suppose if we needed something that we didn’t know where it was in the store, we’d have the same problems you get at most of these big box hardware stores. Pretty much an OK trip this time to this location.

I shop at this Home Depot fairly often as they have a fairly comprehensive selection of home improvement and repair items in stock. I’ve gotten, plants, concrete, light bulbs, lumber, tools, moldings etc. from here and I’ve been rarely disappointed with the items I’ve purchased. I generally do not ask for assistance from the employees except to help find a item on the shelves, so I can’t comment much on their expertise in home repairs and such. But I was impressed that after not finding an air filter where it was suppose to be, listed as, in-stock, employee quickly started going through their on shelf inventory looking for the missing filters. He never did find them, while I was there, but he made a genuine effort to find them and this has been to date my only«issue» with the store not having what they should have had in stock, out of numerous previous visits I’ve made. The only«meh» issues I have with the store is that they have no tool rental section(have to go to south Carson or Reno for that) and their hardware section. While their selection of nuts and bolts is good, I seemingly have been needing replacement hardware that is hit or miss if they have the same thread pitch and length that I need.(Mostly automotive needs, so not going to hold it against a home improvement store rating star wise, but would like to see the section grow just a little)

I love to go to Home Depot around spring time to buy all of our summer flowers like roses & some tomatoes, plants We found some tomato plants that were frost burnt and we would like to buy that if they had given us a damaged plant discount but too bad they don’t. They don’t give any discounts on any life plants no matter how bad they look. And they only have the same color roses every year such as red, white, yellow or pink. They need to bring in a greater variety of colors.

These huge box stores are at once comforting and terrifying. Pretty much you can walk in thinking you’re going to buy a few purple pansies and an hour later, you’re lugging a ladder, giant pots, a hammer and yard tools in a giant cart. WTF. You’ll never know if you will get staff who studiously may ignore you accidentally on purpose or very helpful folks who will go out of their way to saw a PVC pipe into two for you. They also have a very good return policy — I’ve had to return my share of items once I got home, unpacked the car and looked at what I bought and thought, «Dear God, what I have done?»

The customer service in this store is fabulous. I went in one day to get some stain and asked if they had any projects I could work with my grandson on. The customer service rep found me a Trojan horse bank. He said it was free. I never expected it to be free. My grandson and I had a great time putting it together. Thanks home depo!!!

I love this place! I find super deals every time I walk in here! I usually shop for wood, paint, plants, gardening supplies, and random DIY project needs. Staff always seem upbeat and willing to help. I do wish they had a better selection of flowers and plants though. Best deals on herbs, veggies, and vines in town though! I shop here 2 – 3 X a week.

Recently purchased some appliances from this location. Two separate dates meant two separate deliveries. The sales person Lyndell was helpful and down to earth. The delivery guys were on time, careful and friendly. Would recommend them every time.

I have shopped at Home Depot a handful of times and usually get offered more help than I could use but today I went in with my 3 children to get some wood cut and two elderly gentleman working were very rude and unhelpful. I will not return back after the way that I was treated today, I left in tears.

Every time I go into this Home Depot they are very empty and the employees are pretty much clueless about their products. Yet when you try to call to talk to a representative, you are either transferred to a number that rings and rings and then switches you back to the original message or get hung up on. Very frustrating. Just started to shop at Lowe’s and the difference is tremendous – better prices, knowledgeable and helpful employees and when you call you get a human being to talk to.

I was trimming some redwood lattice with my RotoZip and the bit broke. Looks like the only place to get them locally is Home Depot. Luckily, they had them in stock and they offer Internet ordering. They texted, called, AND emailed when they were ready to pickup, which was about ½ hour. That was nice. However, getting to the store, I was helped by the most lackadaisical and apathetic person ever. What could have been a 60 second transaction was needlessly prolonged. True, she could have walked more slowly to the bin to retrieve my drill bits. And yes, she could have had a longer conversation with the other customers that walked up to interrupt her instead of attending to the transaction at hand. Oh, sure, she could have known which receipt I was supposed to get out of the confusing three pieces of paperwork the computer generated. So it could have been slower. But it was easily a minute faster than walking over to get the parts myself and getting into the checkout line. So I suppose it was a success.

I like the deals you can find here, and I have noticed that every HD store has different deals and sometimes on the same products, so you really have to do your shopping.

This is an ok Home Depot. Its really not the best organized and the folks aren’t the most helpful(I stopped in late on a Friday to pick something up on my way back to Reno and there was nary a soul to be found). But, its well stocked(something the Reno stores often have issues with) and the prices are good. All in all everything comes out in a wash and so I’m giving it 3 stars.

A-OK, nothin’ fancy or terrible. Like most Home Depots, the staff doesn’t really know whats going on if they’re not behind a register or running heavy machinery. Like most Home Depots, I feel a weird sense of betrayal to our local hardware store whenever I come in. Just fine for a Home Depot, but I still prefer our little local joints in Tahoe.

I gotta say, this particular Home Depot is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch, at least in the Carson City/Reno area. The people are über-friendly, and the store is «eat off the floor clean». The bathrooms are spotless as well(because even slobs want to use clean bathrooms!). It’s almost like one of the prerequisites for hiring is a sense of humor, and a genuine friendliness(not to mention a knowledge of the products in the department you are working). The store is always well-stocked and they seem to keep upgrading their stock. If a brand comes up with new innovative products, Home Depot gets on board and offers it for sale. I like that. I’m always looking for out-of-the-ordinary tools for my shop. You know, it’s a guy show-off thing… So, all in all, this Home Depot is OUR depot for everything WE need for OUR home.
