I wanted to like this place very badly! Unfortunately, the place had a small line that was no big deal and the kitchen fell apart. The cheese wasn’t melted or veggies grilled at all on my sub. It was a veggie sandwhich so I had a sandwhich of raw onions, raw mushrooms, unmelted cheeses and a ton of iceberg and tomato. If it was grilled it would have been ok at least. As a cook when it gets busy let people wait for properly cooked food don’t just push it out. I will try again and heopefully give them more stars next time!!! A good motto I learned«serve no fry before its time»

Pretty good subs here. I have stopped by here only once and another time my boyfriend brought me a sub. I thought it was delicious both times and massive in size! I was pleased with service when I went in the second time and it was done in a jiffy! Would definitely return.

A single word to describe the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich: Tasteless comes to mind. Owner very friendly!

First off I would like to say that I don’t give bad reviews, but this place and sandwich they served as well as their«crappie«demeanor warrant this one! I had never been here and thought I’d give it a try today, October 14, 2015, HUGE Mistake! Upon arrival I was or I guess wasn’t greeted by a young man behind the counter, who asked me what I wanted… having never been there before, I said, «I’ve never been here, please give me a minute» I choose to ordered«The Ultimate Club«requesting no cheese or mayo… after a few minutes my number is called from behind the counter. I pick up my sandwich and I am rather mind blown as I see what appears to be chopped up turkey, ham, and possibly essence of bacon… yep and that’s it! First these meats looked anything but appetizing, and«Ultimate«it was not! There was no produce, or anything else for that matter… just some sloppily applied chopped meat on a non appetizing white bread roll. I returned to the counter and asked if this was correct??? He unapologetically said, «you didn’t want cheese» ??? WTH, so I guess when you don’t want cheese, you get nothing else either. IDK… mind boggling, truly! In any event I asked them to please put produce on it, and mustard. I asked them to wrap it up, as I was no longer interested in their sandwich and walked out and into Paul Shats Bakery, where I kindly greeted, and ordered a DELICIOUS Chicken Club Sandwich with a green side salad. I definitely will not be returning to Charlies Subpar Subs, and I wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE!!!

Ordered the Italian sub… meh. It was okay. But not worthy of my $ 8.00. I was there right when they opened at 11 so maybe they hadn’t got into their sandwich making«groove» yet. I probably won’t be back.

Not much of a sandwich, ordered a small Italian received about two ounces of meat and a pound of bread. Sad example of a sandwich shop, don’t waste your time. Find another shop.

In a Hungry afternoon, i arrived at carson. Looking at the name Grilled Subs :) entered into the store. OMG $ 6.45 for regular Teriyaki Chicken Nothing in the stuffing except letuce, 3 piece tomato and super thin layer Chicken. I will never recommend this place. You better go to Subway and Atleast enjoy the price paid for.

Was pleasantly surprised! We had the Philly and Buffalo Chicken sandwiches, and they were both tasty. The bread was fresh and fries were cooked when ordered. Also the service was awesome for a fast food type of restaurant! However the best was the multiple lemonade choices they had. Tried them all and liked the strawberry lemonade best!

I love coming here with my boyfriend! I get the bacon 3 cheese steak everytime. I know it is horrible calorie wise but it is good for my soul! I love the lemonade here too. We love coming here.

Exactly what I expected from Charleys. Been to a bunch of different locations and it’s about the same as the rest. This location is clean.

I came here before visiting the state museum. My boyfriend ordered a Philly cheese steak and I ordered an Italian sub, both of which were super tasty. The staff were really friendly, and the cook had the sandwich prep down to a science. Their ice tea was pretty good too. I would come back here.

Wow! I just had the pleasure of visiting Charley’s and I can’t wait to go back and try another offering from the menu. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad — it was delicious, fresh and the dressing was excellent. Just the right amount of everything! Charley’s was also nice and clean and the gentleman that helped me was very pleasant too. I’ll be back!

Great food. Great service. About 9.00 for a large Sub if you like big portions. Will go again.

Excellent place for a classic Philly-style cheese steak, but they have other options on the menu as well. It may be a «chain» but this particular location in Carson City is an independently owned franchise that is run like a family business, in a good way! All the employees seem to want to be there! The Steakhouse crunch is the latest variant on the menu that has become my favorite.

I crave the buffalo chicken sandwich. Hold the ranch dressing and cheese and it’s pretty low cal. And still full of flavor with lots of buffalo sauce.

I eat at Charley’s at least once a week. I haven’t found a sandwich there I don’t like however, my all time favorite thing to order is their Ultimate Fries. I have dubbed them«crack fries». Anything smothered in cheese, ranch and topped with bacon has gotta be good!

Had the cheese steak sub here with fries. Really good stuff. Good fries too. Super friendly and prompt customer service too — I was greeted on entry and the server chatted with me as she quickly whipped together my sandwich. Awesome.

If I can’t have a good pastrami sandwich– the Sandwich of Kings – I will opt for a Philadelphia Cheese steak sandwich. Since Charley offers a couple of different varieties, I thought I would try the basic one. I noticed too late that it didn’t come with green peppers, which to me is an integral part of this sandwich. You gotta pay extra. The sandwich arrived looking tiny and sad, especially compared to the kind you would get back East. However, I have to say that there was SOME classic cheese steak flavor in there. It’s just the sandwich was gone before I was done eating, if you know what I mean. I would say the situation is similar to the difference between a REAL White Castle burger and a FROZEN White Castle Burger. Yeah, there’s something there, but… They also included a cup of fries. They were kind of grainy and bland. They offer gourmet fries, with different stuff like cheese and bacon which can only be an improvement. Service was very speedy and the food was hot. The two grill guys were half-heartedly flipping their spatulas in the air while they were waiting for an order. I wonder if that’s company policy. Unless you’re looking for a hot sandwich, go Subway. Much more bang for your buck. Otherwise, give these guys a try.
