Trinity Pharmacy

Love this pharmacy! They fill all my prescriptions & have for years. Super friendly staff that try every thing to help. Plus the store (if you dare go inside!) has the cutest gifts, jewelry, & décor. Five stars plus!!!

The Good: The pharmacy has many hard to find items that other chain pharmacies don’t usually carry. Also has a nice selection of handmade gifts and trinkets.
The Bad: the nice items I mentioned above are perversely overpriced
The Worst: My customer service experience:
I called Trinity Pharmacy to make sure they had an item in stock that I’m only able to find there. It’s a bar soap. It’s the only bar soap my mom is able to use with her sensitive skin. The man on the phone quickly checked for me and said they had it in. Great on my way.
I arrive 20 mins later and I can’t find it. The helpful clerk says he’s the person who took my call but he thought I was talking about a different soap and that they do carry it but are out if stock. He said come tmrw and we will have it in. Great. No big deal.
I arrive 2 days later to find out still no soap. Now I talked to a different guy. He asked me if I remembered who I talked to that said it would be in. I said no. He kept asking guy or girl? Tall or short? Ethnicity? Um does it really matter at this point? He asked me if I left my name and # to be called when it arrived as if I should have known to do that. He tells me he should be able to order it and says it will be just a minute. I wait 15 minutes. He comes back and says ok well our supplier doesn’t have it because it may be discontinued (not the pharmacy’s fault) but says he still may be able to get some of what’s left. He asked for my name and number and says he will call me in a couple hours. Fine
A week and a half later. No call. No soap. No nothing. Not at any point did anyone apologize that I’ve made two trips based on their information. I’ll just order from Amazon from now on. Its cheaper and more reliable.

We went into this really hoping to able to get away from poor service at the big pharmacy chains, but somehow these people have managed to find a new low that I did not think was there. Despite 3 attempts I have only been able to buy one thing from them, and they were not able to process my insurance on that, so I had to pay full price for it, even though CVS and Walgreens have no issues with my insurance.
1.) Attempt 1 — They advertise notary services, which is random, but handy. Only their notary is almost never actually in the building. I think she hides in the weird Meth Lab shack in the back mostly. After a 3-​day game of cat-​and-​mouse, we cornered her once, but she refused to notarize the document on some obscure grounds. Chase Bank had no such issues, and notarized it immediately for me for free. Big Corporate Chain 1, Shop Local 0.
2.) Attempt 2 — My 4 year old autistic daughter needed a liquid form antibiotic for a minor condition, so I went by the pharmacy at 4pm on a Monday. After milling around in front of the counter for 10 minutes prescription in hand while the team of 4 – 5 people staffing the place studiously avoided eye contact or addressing me, one of them finally gave in and asked me what I wanted. His initial surliness was compounded when he discovered that I had the nerve to be a new customer, and he would have to (hurumph!) process new insurance paperwork. I probably cost him an important level on Candy Crush or something, but he took my information. He then asked me «Would I like to wait for this medication?», which I stupidly took as a positive sign. I said no, I will come back at 6:30pm (they close at 7pm) to pick it up, so he could get back to texting girls on Yahoo Personals or whatever for a while, and deal with my silly child illness situation later. This made him happy and I left. I came back at 6:30pm, and after some of confusion trying to find the prescription (apparently a parent dropping off a prescription for their child was a new and difficult procedure for them to master), I was told they were «getting it ready» and asked to take a seat, Chris Hansen style. So I sat for 15 minutes, and then was called up to the counter and told my medicine was not ready, but they could «order some powder» and MAYBE have it tomorrow or the next day. To the counter staff’s obvious delight, I collected my prescription and left. CVS had it ready for me in an hour. Big Corporate Chains 2, Shop Local, 0.
3.) Attempt 3 — Same daughter also needed a compounded ointment for an itchy rash. Perfect for Trinity, a compounded prescription with mainly common, over-​the-​counter ingredients, should be easy. Or not… more surliness, more delays, more broken promises. CVS decided to take one of their points off the board, by saying they could make it when I wanted to pull that prescription as well, but then later backing out of that claim. So I was stuck waiting another 24 hours for Trinity to get it together. A nice lady named Heather seemed upset at my treatment, and apologized, which was nice. But then she could not process my insurance, and when my wife finally went to pick up the prescription, she had wait at the drive through window for 20 minutes to get it, no apology, no discount, but more free bad attitude. Corporate Chains 2, Shop Local 0 and digging a hole.
All this is just hassle, but my poor child was delayed in getting over her infection and had to endure 36 hours of painful itching because I was dumb to give these losers a try. I guess the big chains are big for a reason…

Gotta love the independent pharmacy. Super customer service with friendly techs and knowledgeable pharmacists. You can get standard medications as well as compounding (great for kids and pets) or special order items.
I’ve never been disappointed when coming to Trinity Pharmacy.

In a healthcare era run by big stores, big pharma, big insurance, and big government, Trinity Pharmacy is a diamond in the rough. They’ve been able to maintain a small town, personal kind of care. With personalized compounding and a variety of over the counter wants and needs, I’ve been able to begin and finish my shopping in the same location. I will continue to give them my business because they’ve certainly earned it!

I came to this pharmacy to get my meningitis vaccination shot. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the inside is very cute but also a bit random. They sell random jewelry and home décor. Other than that, where else can you get $ 10 shots?! Very glad I came here, at Walgreens the same shot it $ 150. No thank you.

Compounding pharmacy-​what does this mean? It means the pharmacist makes the drugs their locally… pill by pill. Natural ingredients typically. This place reminds me of the medical arts pharmacy my mom would frequent when I was a child. Totally love it b/​c i’m a nut about holistic and do not like taking any meds. If it’s going in my mouth then I want to know what’s in it. You’re going to pay a bit of a premium for this type of med however it is going into your body after all.
