I love all the chaat plates here, but I do not like their chole. Sometimes they’re good, but most of the time they have way too much oil which just ruins the taste. If you like Indian sweets you can definitely get your fix here, I personally don’t like Indian sweets but the few I have tried I liked. They also have savory snacks like sev mixes which are sold by the pound and are so delicious!

Overall it is a mixed bag. I have been going to this place for the last couple of years and here is what I find. * Overall it is the best sweets shop in DFW metro * About 60−70% of the sweets they carry are decent — rest all are crap. Tip: Always try a bite before you buy in bulk, do not hesitate to ask for a sample * About 20−30% of the khara/namkeens are good — rest all are crap — try a sample before you buy The samosas and the kachoris are very good. The service levels are good — place is clean and well maintained.

Just went in to pick up some Indian sweets. Was pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh everything was. I also got some spicy cashews, which are roasted in-house, with red chilli pepper powder, salt, and spices. Don’t be afraid of trying something new. They oftentimes let you sample a few items.

Beige walls — check. Beige/green furniture w/no personality — check. Florescent lighting — check! Dirty tables — check. Indoor Icicles lighting — check? Indifferent, borderline rude service — triple check. Mediocre food priced at least $ 1.25 over — check. A common indian low-rent eating experience? — a very sad CHECK :(

Had guest over and it’s culture to have sweets for them. I Stopped in. Got 2 lbs of sweets(A combo of different sweets). The pricing was decent. Our guests loved the fresh sweets. I come here occasionally, never had a problem with service or their products. Haven’t really tried any of the other food items on their menu.

Great place to have snacks or pick up something. Excellent service, atmosphere, and quality. The girl who served us was kind, patient, offered some suggestions, and was clear with the information of nice boxes to give desserts as gifts. The location in Richardson has good food but AWFUL service. I gave them 2 stars because the food was good but that’s it. This location is MUCHBETTER!

Been here many times. If you are looking for Indian snacks, chat, fresh sweets, pan, indian ice cream, milk shakes, juices… this is the place to be. Very authentic and very reasonable prices compare to other places in the area. Also has fresh hot cooked food as well such as south indian food, pav bhaji, ragda, chole etc. You can try multiple things for a great price and enjoy. Seating available as well.

I have benefited greatly from good and bad Unilocal reviews alike. And, I would have preferred not to start with a bad review — but if this helps a single person, so be it. There needs to be a zero star option — that’s what I would give this location of Royal Sweets. The only location of Royal Sweets that is remotely good is the one on MacArthur. THe one in Carrollton sells stale, sometimes rotten, sweets without a qualm. Ask them for their opinion on the freshest sweets in the store or when such-and-such sweet was made, you will be met with a smart-alecky reply. When a business owner is wary about attesting to the freshness of his products, you DONT want to go to that store. Go to the bakery section of any grocery store and ask them which bread has been baked today — they are NEVER dodgy in their reply. I speak from personal experience — we have bought spoilt sweets from this location before. If you do not want to buy spoilt products with your money and fall sick eating them, please DONOTGOTOROYALSWEETS, CARROLLTONLOCATION. Do yourself a favor.
