I LOVED this place first off. People may complain about the hair washing part but personally Rosa spoke Spanish and made small talk the whole time which was quite comforting for me. My hair was so many different tones of orange from box dying it but they we’re able to turn it into a beautiful ash brown, exactly as I requested by photo. I remember feeling drowsy considering it took up to four hours but the workers all helped to complete the look and made it look fantastic! Thank you everyone!

I made the reservation with Lisa for perm and color, she is so nice and i really love the hairstyle she made for me

1^st time here after being recommend by a few friends. The owner Ms. Kim is super nice. She did a great job on digital perm of my long hair. She suggested keeping the top portion straight while the lower part w/​big curves. That’s exactly what I want! Love the way my hair looks now!

Can someone please explain to me WHY is it that EVERY TIME I go to a Korean hair salon, they always make a comment about my hair? And it’s not really a compliment, it seems to go the same way… «Is this your natural hair? It’s so dark. It’s black. Why?» I’m not sure whether or not to take that offensively, but they do look at me as if I’m crazy not to dye it.
Anyway, I haven’t been here in years so I decided to stop by to see how business was. First thing was first, they greeted me and they asked me to sit and wait. After 15 – 20 minutes of waiting, they had someone wash my hair. And to be completely honest, I have never had someone wash my hair in such a rough manner before. First of all, this person didn’t speak English at all. Not even a little bit. They actually spoke Spanish to me the whole time – assuming I understood. I was able to make out a few phrases, but otherwise; I couldn’t understand much. Besides, she made me move twice to two different places to wash my hair. During the process of washing my hair, she kept pulling on it. It really hurt. I teared up and so I got nervous every time she kept touching my hair, fearing that she was going to pull it out. After my hair was washed, she sat me down, barely blow dried my hair, and walked off (assuming she got distracted speaking with her friend).
Eventually my hair stylist came, blow dried the rest of my hair (I guess she realized that it was still very wet) and she followed directions about what I wanted. She did a decent job. She didn’t speak a lot of English, but she did understand what I wanted and went along with my face expression, making sure that I liked it. There was a time during my haircut, she was talking with other people, not paying attention to where she was cutting… *awkward* I may have had my glasses off, but girl, I see what you’re doing. And then there was another time where she took the back of my hair/​bangs, cut a bit, have it fall over my face, walked off without warning, and left me there for a bit; confused about what just happened.
Towards the end, my hair came out perfectly fine. My sister thought my hair fit my face really well. My head feels lighter, she did a good job of getting what I wanted. BUT, I probably wouldn’t come here again because of the customer service – mainly the person who washed my hair (she was also very rude).

They are rude. No customer service!

They don’t offer any drinks, even charged enough

I regretful to had to dye my hair in here. I wanted to dye my hair pink ombré hair. I told her «i want to dye my hair exactly like this picture», she said «ok». Then I asked for the price, she said «$ 240». I know it’s very expensive, but if she could make the hairstyle that I want, it will be okay. I went to this hair salon three days to complete my hair. Unbelievable, it is completely different to the picture I shown her before. what I want is light brown and then the dip hair is pink, but my hair was divided into two, one half of the original color of my hair, the other half yellow. it is so bad, and I had to pay $ 240 for the ombré hair that not what i want.

This is my first time come here and definitely this place is my most favorite place now !
As what ppl in Unilocal recommended, I made an appointment with Jeff ! First, they gave me my own locker and a coat to put on, what made me feel very pleased. Then, they washed my hair. The smelt of their shampoo product is so good and I felt relax.
Jeff took a look of my hair and I can see how desperate he was lol. (Yes, let me tell you guys that I colored my hair from 5 to 7 times from the last 2 years (however, my hair had been still very soft), and 2 months ago, I went to a salon to get my first hair perm in my life. That lady totally destroyed my beautiful hair, and I cried a lot. EVERY DAY I WOKE UP WITH AN UGLY HAIR, FOR 2 MONTHS).
Jeff asked me what I want to do with my hair, and I told him that I din’t know what to do. I knew I need a hair cut but my hair looked very bad right now. Believe me, he repeated more than 10 times that my hair was «totally damaged» ! After 15 mins discussed about what is good for my hair, I decided that I needed to say goodbye to 5 inches of my hair (which took me 1.5 year to grow), and as I wanted, I can have my hair perm.
After cutting my hair EXTREMELY CAREFULLY, he gave me 2 hair treatments, then permed my hair, and then 1 more treatment. They washed my hair 4 times, and I felt happy when I see after each period, my hair became smooth and soft. I took us 4 hours to finish everything.
Finally, he gave me many advices to keep my hair healthier. I looked at myself in the mirror and I could say that HE IS MY SAVIOR ! My hair looks very beautiful now and I think I’m the happiest girl in the world !!
All in all, I paid $ 230 for the whole process, which includes hair washed, hair cut, hair treatments and 2 kinds of hair perm. It’s worth the price. Gave him $ 20 for the tip for his excellent work.
And also, thumps up for all the smiles I received from the workers here, and good talk with them !

I went there a few month ago for hair cut. Andy, he is nice and very good technic for hair cut and make me very nice hair style. I highly recommend here.

My stylist was Jeff, he did an excellent work! I love my short hair now :) willing to come back next time!

Im coming from California and have been looking for a hair salon that will do a good job with color, cut, and digital perm. I met Kim and she did a fantastic job! She was gentle (I have thick long hair) and she paid attention to all my request! Thank you for making me feel and look wonderful!

Horrible customer service, they will talk behind your back about your hair or appearance and they will do a terrible job with your hair because they are trying to finish fast. They don’t even offer you water or a magazine!

Called this place a few days prior to set up an appointment. They didn’t ask for my name or anything, just what time/​day/​if I had a stylist preference. They asked for my number as well, although they never used it (to my knowledge).
Anyway, I went in and showed my stylist the cut I wanted. She was super sweet, and when I asked her to cut it shorter, she certainly did. However, she thinned my hair without my request. She made the comment that my hair was thick (I love my thick hair) and she proceeded to thin it out. At first I thought she was doing layers like I asked, but nope, she was thinning it. I’m not mad about it because I can still style it how I want, I’m just a little irked because I didn’t ask her to thin it, and by the time I realized what she was doing, it was too late to stop her.
They seemed busy when I went. They’re friendly people. I came on a friend’s recommendation, but I don’t think the cut I received is worth the $ 38 I spent. I probably won’t be coming back.

I want to cry because instead of cutting 2 inches as asked, the lady chopped my hair and now I have shoulder length fobby looking hair instead of my bra strap length hair. The perm came out good but it will take forever for my hair to grow back. The stylist blamed me saying I asked for it. Nope, I asked that you trim a couple of inches so that split ends can be cleaned. I never asked for shoulder length. Now I have to spend money on getting extensions.
I’m updating my review w an additional star because my perm has settled after a week and looks really great. I would have given this place 5 stars if my hair wasn’t cut so short. The amount of money and effort I am now putting in to hair vitamins and all sorts of hair mask is pretty significant.

There are so many hair places h Mart area. You can spot a place almost every corner. I picked one of them Which is parkjun’s beauty lab. The lady who cut my hair did a great job and she made sure I was okay with everything she was doing before snipping.
They use name brand, quality keratin and they put plenty of it on your hair. Their service was good too.
Coming back.

I needed a haircut asap and everytime I called my first and second salon they were booked!!! So I called this place and made an appointment with Jeff. I heard he was good so I tried them out. As you see my hair is nice and lovely just the way I like it. What I liked most was their unique service? Jeff asked me what I want and asked to be more detailed. Most Korean salons just take my few words and come up with their own style. Also he took more time in cutting my hair, very detailed. Sitting down and cutting someone’s hair is pretty odd in a Korean salon but I’ve seen this at Toni and Guy. Lastly, was the styling. no flat irons! Most of the time I would hear the sound of my hair frying but instead I heard the sound of a blow dryer. The finished look was great and my experience was fantastic.
Ok so that was the good part now here is the bad part. Jeff please cut your nails, you almost scratched my forehead. This salon is ridiculously expensive, ten dollars more than other salons. Plus cash only for haircuts.
The location has changed, they are now at lee ka ja’s old location. Lee ka ja moved to Htown.

The stylist wasnt bad.
The customer service is horrible.
It is busy here. I guess that means this place is good.
But the wait and service.. That is why I gave 3 stars. Otherwise it couldve been 4.
My husband’s hair cut was decent.
Ill see how they do mine next time wgen I come for my hairdo.

Really great place. My stylist was Esther, and she was very friendly. She actually SMILED (which is rare for Korean barbers). I showed her a picture, and we discussed how it would apply to my hair (my head is awkwardly shaped…). She then cut it, and it turned out great.
What else can you ask for? Friendly service with a good result; that’s all I really want in a haircut.

This is Park Jun’s new location. They used to be on Hebron. I’ve been to all of the Korean salons in the hmart area and I think this might be the best one.
They’re pretty good for men’s haircuts. Just show them a picture and give any additional details and they’ll get it done. They like using wax but who doesn’t?
Their services for girls seems pretty good as well. At least it seems like they know what they’re doing, like layering, which I hear can be pretty hit and miss at most places around here.
I think their prices are reasonable. $ 27 for guy haircut. Not sure about girls’. I’m sure it’s north of $ 35 depending on what you need.
The only drawback for me is that they’re cash only. At least now they have a sign that tells you beforehand.
