If you expect to actually have the dentist in the same room with you, you will be very disappointed. While the staff is friendly, I believe that they are preforming tasks that they are unqualified to perform. I received a rude phone call from Anna, she identified herself as a «dental hygienist» but when I called back with a request to have the office mail my records to me, I was told that Anna, «the office manager», wasn’t in that day. The dentist is in the process of opening an additional office in Plano…

I had my regular dental cleaning visit this week with Dr. Pfaffenberger and recently had a crown done by Dr. Pfaffenberger. I cannot say enough about how great this dentist and her staff is for me. I thought that I needed an implant but after a detailed discussion and careful consideration with Dr. Pfaffenberger I decided on a crown. Dr. Pfaffenberger took great care in providing me with my options and helped me to make the right choice for me. And, it was the most economical choice for me. I Highly recommend Dr. Pfaffenberger for all of your dental care needs as well as the needs of your family. What a great office staff as well. Always very pleasant and happy when I am there.

Office staff is very nice as someone else said, but they are always out of toothbrush when you go in to get your cleaning done. It has consistently been the case last couple of years which makes it suspect. As for the doctor herself, she is nice, but you never know if you are going to see her or any dentist at all if you go for cleaning. I ended up seeing just the dental hygienist last 2 times and my wife ended up getting some other dentist doing her filling which wasn’t a good job, so she had to go back in twice. Overall, I would go in to get my teeth cleaned, but would get a second opinion if I was told that I needed to get some extra work done.

Office help very nice. Do a good job cleaning. Definitely not gentle. Both my son and I have had real bite problems after dental work done there. I thought I would die before I got the actual crown set and the temp off. It made all my teeth hurt because the temp was so short. Very painful. My son has suffered extensive pain after having a lot of fillings done. He couldn’t floss after so he went back in to get them fixed and to help the bite hurt. They fussed a bit but really didn’t fix a whole lot. Continued in pain for two more weeks by which time he had left the state permanently. Going back to our old dentist, because the pain was so great. This second dentist(we have gone to for years without any troubles) looked at my son’s teeth and said that the fillings were too high and the highest one had cracked(two weeks after it had been put in). I went back to adjust my bite after the crown. They didn’t check it sitting up only lying down. Reclining my bite is fine. Sitting up it hurts. They said it was all in my head. That my mind had to adjust to the new crown. This to a person who has had a bunch of crowns before. When I insisted that I have never had a crown hurt like this before, they told me maybe my nerves were sending mixed messages and getting crossed as it went to my brain. When that didn’t cut the mustard they took a whole bunch of X-rays again and again(didn’t do it right the first time). And said that maybe there was a cavity that needed replacing 2 teeth away. Let us set up an appointment to get that taken care of. «No thanks,» my response. When contacted, the response from Marylou was that she never overfilled fillings and that her work always caused pain for even up to a year. «This sometimes causes some remaining sensitivity that can last 1 – 12 months.» HMMM… I have never experienced painful dental work like this before and I have gone to many dentists and endodontists during my life.
