Framing Warehouse & Arthouse Gallery

These guys are great! I’ve used them for a few years now for various framings (my diploma, my fiancé’s diploma, prints of scenes in Boston), and while they are not cheap, the craftsmanship is second to none! I highly recommend them.

The Framing Warehouse is AMAZING! This has been my ‘go to’ spot for years for framing, and I’ve never been disappointed. They always go the extra mile to make sure my art is featured in the best possible way. The framing is not cheap, but if you are extremely picky like I am, you won’t be disappointed.
My first works were framed here several years ago. I had a large Asian piece of art on silk and it was in a stupidly scary frame (bouth it that way) until I had it redone at the FW. The matting that was chosen really brought out the colors in the piece. Sugar Bear and I could not agree on the frame (I wanted the thick, gold bamboo and he wanted a red frame), so they helped us compromise. I got the gold bamboo, but they added some ‘antiquing’ to it in red so it looked more authentic. BRILLIANT! Not only did we agree, but we’ve enjoyed this piece for years in our foyer. Many of our guests have on how lovely it is.
On that same visit, I brought a very early art deco piece (my favorite art that I own). The frame that was chosen for it looks like it was from the era of the art. It is aged and compliments the art beautifully. People always think this frame the one originally with the piece. It would be easy to say it is a family heirloom, but the frame is only a few years old.
We were exhausted with those two pieces on our initial visit, but we still had one more to go. I was getting low blood sugar (they had spent A LOT of time with us), so we really needed to leave. I left my antique picture of a kitty playing a cello for them to ‘create’ something. We gave them a budget to work within and said GO! We were dazzled by the results and could not have chosen better.
On our most recent visit (over Thanksgiving of this year), we had a BIG order to fill. There is a huge and lovely piece of art on our stairwell. Somehow, the glass had cracked and the sun had also faded the picture. We took it in fully expecting to just trash the piece and find something else. FW completely restored the piece BEYOND its former glory. It is OH MY GAWD amazing now.
We also brought about 10 small pieces to be framed. Two of them were whimsical pictures and we now have jovial frames that are just perfect for them. Instead of doing a mat, there are 2 colorful frames surrounding the art. I would have never thought of this, and the art just POPS now! The other pieces were part of a series, so we wanted them to be similar but not the same. Lots of time was spent finding the perfect mats and frames for each piece, and they too look spectacular!
Lots of artists use this shop to frame their pieces. Framing is an art as well, so I see why so many artists choose FW. They are simply the BEST!
