I would like to let other people beware of this company for their lack of accountability and their technicians are inexperience and lazy to do the job right. They didn’t fix the problem after 3 times that they came out. We called service for a leak by the pump motor. They had 3 different technicians came out and none of them fix the issue. We called in to complain they told us to get a second opinion even though we paid for the service.
Additionally, we specially told them to give us a 30 mins head up so that we can be home. The representative just always calls 5 mins before and the technician already there and of course they left way before we could be home.
Obviously, we will not use their service any more, but pls beware of this bad service and incompetent company before wasting your money.

They came out to look at our pool pump for landmark. They said they found the problem but would have to order parts. After about 4 days the parts came in. They came on June 30^th to fix it. I get home from work and there’s a note on my table. Couldn’t fix have to order more parts. I’m thinking what? You just looked at it last week. No time frame given on when the parts would be here. We call on Thursday and they we are waiting on approval from landmark. We call landmark and they say go ahead. The pool place sets up for a July 13^th. That would be about 2 weeks with no pool pump. Because they took it apart. Concerned about the water turning green. We ask what if the water turns green? They say we aren’t responsible for green water. Landmark says they are. Then the pool place says we talked to landmark and they say we aren’t. Then say we can have landmark send out a different company. My guess is that most of thier business comes from warranty companies. Probably because they are cheap and patch things together. I foind out they told the warranty company that we needed a booster pump. We dont even have a boister pump. They don’t seem very customer friendly and seem like they could careless. That should be there name Careless solutions.

Yes we are having some backlog pool issues in Dallas because of the rain, but sending a tech out to find out the cause of my issue taking over 6 days, really? Then holding on to that for 4 days before sending to my warranty company, then refusing to put me on the books as a possible for Friday for when the rain clears up (which it will)? This is the slowest company I have worked with in a long time, my pool is declining quickly because they cannot get to the job within two weeks is unacceptable. I am very unhappy. I agree, they do not care about their customers.

The business demonstrated a lack of accountability, integrity and professionalism in my personal experience. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would, however the lowest rating Unilocal allows is 1 star.
I maintain home warranty coverage, which includes coverage for my swimming pool. I submitted a claim on the evening of Sunday February 1, 2015. The pool pump motor failed, among other things. The home warranty company referred the service call to Carefree Solutions.
I received a phone call from Cassandra Wynne shortly before 1:00 PM the following day. Ms. Wynne represented that someone would call me by the close of business, and confirm an appointment. The phone call never came.
I left an after hours voicemail and e-​mail to the company expressing concern about unreasonable delays in fulfilling the service request given the circumstances, and that someone complete the service request the following day. The temperature had been at, near, or below freezing for at least two days, and I was worried that my pipes would burst. The forecast for the remainder of the week also called for similar temperatures.
Ms. Wynne e-​mailed me the next day, apologizing for the belated response, which was due to the company «running behind» the previous day.
Several hours later I receive an e-​mail copy of a work order, which had a due date of Monday February 9, 2015. I wrote Ms. Wynne a follow-​up e-​mail indicating that my understanding of the company’s response was that the situation was not urgent and it can wait for a week, but if my understanding was not correct, to have a technician dispatched immediately, to avoid potential liability for unreasonable delays in repair. Ms. Wynne responded that the company is not responsible for any delays in repairs, and if February 9 wasn’t «fast enough for [me]» to contact my home warranty provider, and select another provider. I did as Ms. Wynne suggested, and was referred to Pool Care Specialists, who did an excellent job, in a expeditious manner.
This business was aware of an urgent situation, and left itself and the customer vulnerable, because of their selfish business practices. If the company was running behind and not in a position to service my claim, it should have informed the home warranty company and myself that it could not perform the request, that the situation was urgent, and to seek another pool services provider immediately. This would have been the ethical thing to do under the circumstances, and there would be no hard feelings. However, the business was more interested in booking potential business, without consideration of a customer’s needs. When it became clear that a customer would hold them liable for delay in service, their true colors showed.

I’ve had two experiences with Carefree, both due to their service for American Home Shield policies. The first went ok – after two weeks of waiting to have them put in a new pool filter, my home warranty covered it. This was after a no show on a scheduled appointment and repeated calls to them to take care of the problem.
The second was where I had to question the integrity of the people running the show. Carefree reported to my warranty company that there was duck tape on my pool pump and that this was improper installation and the failure was not covered. There was no duck tape and no call from the inspector that came to look at the pump to let me know his diagnosis. They leave it to AHS to call days later that the claim was denied and thanks for the $ 75. After further calls to Carefree, they apparently didn’t like the way a new capacitor was installed with electrical tape and this was the «duck tape» reported to AHS.
Just know that you’re rolling the dice in using them for home warranty policies. There’s a quota on how they can do and you’re already a second class customer to them in the first place having a home warranty (at least that’s what I felt).

Care Free is an excellent name for this business. Warranty repair requested through my home warranty company. Called me back late on Friday and said they could not come out until Monday. Didn’t show up on Monday. Finally showed up on Tuesday while I was out of town but I had left the gate unlocked for them. This is when it got really good…
Their technician told my home warranty company that the above ground plumbing leak was due to an improper installation and that thbe bolts holding the filter seal where incorrect… interesting since the bolts appear to be original or at least several years old and in the year I have owned the house there has been no problem with the plumbing or filter… if it was really an improper installation seems like it wouldn’t have been working properly the year I have been here…
Additionally the technician apparently claimed I had overtightened the union on top of the pump… interesting as I had never touched that part of the pump or plumbing. Also claimed the installation going into the strainer basket was improper… amazing since it is PVC pipe… not sure how that could be installed improperly and actually work at all and again has been working since I puchased the house over a year ago…
I did rub pipe cement on the outside of a small area of one piece of the PVC pipe hoping it would seal the crack until the company came out but it did not work… It also did not cause any additional issues and yet the technician claimed I had installed a union /​connector… again something that had been there since before I owned the house and had been working fine… a simple follow up phone call to me could have cleared all of that up…
And to top it off, after claiming all of this, did not have the courtesy to even let me know. I found out about all of this after arriving back home several days later. No phone call… nothing…they did turn off the circuit breaker to the pump though which was helpful I guess since it wasn’t circulating any water…
