The dentist we saw was nice. Fine if you just need a check up and cleaning and don’t really care about anything else. Positives: some bilingual staff(including Drs.) Extended hours(nights/weekend hours) Improvements: The office setup is not one that makes you feel comfortable– instead it feels more like you’re waiting at the DOL or something similar– the waiting room is huge and thus doesn’t add a warming atmosphere.. Also, they never called to remind of appointments– 3 appts to call about that they said they would, and promised for the last one. Not once, and said they didn’t know why we never received a phone call. Said one person had very small cavities, and tried to fix it there on the spot. That might seem nice to some people, but it felt sketchy and suspicious to me. The cavity thing may or may not be true– going elsewhere for a second opinion.

The place was filthy and had posters of oral cancer pictures in every room. Oddly enough I didn’t even get checked for oral cancer as I have at every other dentist I’ve been to. The place was so gross and they hit me with a $ 2300 estimate(only my portion to pay, total was $ 4000). I left and have been calling for 3 weeks to get my xrays sent to another dentist. The new dentist himself called and requested them. Every time, someone says they are on the way, but still no xrays. Do not go to this location or any American Smile Center unless you want to frown.

I originally picked this location because it was in my kids CHIP program and they are open 7 days a week with extended hours. Not a good decision. It took forever. Granted there were 4 of us, but we got there at 5pm and left at 7:30. Kids were done being good at that point and hungry. It seemed that no one working there knew where anything was. The 1st visit special was $ 60 per adult and that covered x-rays and a cleaning, but they said that in 6 months it would be $ 160 per person to come back because they would want to do ANOTHER X-ray. What? The staff was friendly, but they just seemed really disorganized. One of the staff said that they rotate locations, well it showed with the lack of knowledge of where supplies were and such. I never did catch the name of the dentist that took care of my family, but he was really nice. And the assistant that took our x-rays was really nice also. I wish that the niceness of the staff was enough to get me to go back, but I don’t see that happening.
