I got a haircut from Tony and was super happy with the results. Great place and ambiance, beer on tap, lots of attention to details, will definitely go back when I’m in town!

Great shop! I’ve been getting my hair cut here for about year, and can’t imagine going anywhere else. Really cool vibe, beer on tap, and a great staff.

I followed Tony here from POI & I’m so glad I did. He’s a great barber and this is without a doubt the best barbershop in Brooklyn. Not only do you get experienced barbers doing great cuts but the environment is perfect. Plenty of space, it smells great, they sell some amazing products, and free drinks (Other half, seltzer or Stumptown iced coffee). Today I also had a great cut with Eva. So, just want to say if you are looking for a great haircut in a great environment this is the place!

Favorite place to get my hair cut by far. Eva is super nice and is an amazing stylist. The building itself is really nice, love the aquarium set up they have. Lots of high end hair and shaving products available for purchase as well. Cuts are a little pricey but its totally worth it to get your hair did by a professional and that’s what they are.

Eva is the shit. She took a half-​second glimpse of a photo and then went to town. She gave me exactly what I wanted. I’ll be back.

I had really high hopes for this place. It all began with extensive research and reading lots of Unilocal reviews. I’ve been getting my haircut in the city and thought I could find a decent place here in Brooklyn where I reside. First let me start off by saying that the only reason I even gave it two stars is because of the ambiance and free booze that were complimentary. So I had an appointment with Eli who seemed really nice. My haircut is a standard hipster side part, which should be a staple of any barber shop in this area, again I was mistaken. Eli didn’t cut any hair off the top and said that it needs to grow out further. At first I must have been in a trance from my terrible haircut so I thought it’ll grow on me but a week later I had to go to a real barbershop in the city. (Genos Barberia– great people and great haircuts guaranteed.) I’m sure the others barbers are great and maybe Eli was having an off night. Not sure what it was, but my hair didn’t need to suffer the consequences. This is my first review and I’m sad that it had to be this way, but maybe I can save my fellow neighbors from a bad haircut. On a side note the beer on tap was great.

Eli has been cutting my hair for about two years… maybe a year? I got rid of the less-​satisfactory memories of all prior haircuts, so it’s just Eli ad infinitum. He’s incredibly positive and on-​point, even when I come in with the worst helmet hair and bed-​head combo. Set your expectations high, and you won’t be disappointed.
Definitely one of the best designs of a barber shop that I’ve been to hands-​down. The on-​tap beer doesn’t hurt either, and their selection of products is amazing.

I love how this barber shop smells– it’s always a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Eli has been my barber for some time now, he rolls with whatever style changes I’m looking for and also is sensitive to any insecurities.
Like a good bartender (or therapist) he’s easy to talk to and makes the experience positive all around.
The shop has great products and awesome fish tank– I usually zone out looking at.

This is a great place and well worth every penny you spend.
The Customer service is fantastic. The employees are really about giving the customers a great experience.
From the waiting room, to the offering of soda or beer, to the professionalism of the barbers.

They have a kegerator, cool music and unpretentious barbers. My first haircut was definitely a good experience and I’ll definitely use them again. Eva did a great job. The online scheduling service is convenient as well.

Eva is a master of her craft. Whether it’s for my beard or my hair, she provides solid advice and leaves me feeling fully confident about how I look.
B&B has a great vibe with terrific service. For me, coming from a long history of stylist haircuts in salon environments, it’s given exactly what I hoped for after growing a beard a looking for a one-​stop-​shop.
The craft beer on tap doesn’t hurt either!

I’ve been going to Ken for the past few months while he was at Rudy’s in Williamsburg. While I’ll miss the convenience of walking to get a cut, following Ken over to Blue & Black is a no brainer. The guy is great. I have fine hair, with a couple of tough cowlicks, and have never been great at conveying what I want in a cut. Ken is laid back and the conversation flows with ease. He takes his time to make sure what he’s doing is in line with what you want. After a few visits, I stopped worrying and just let him do his thing. At this point, I’m not letting anyone else touch my hair.
As for the shop — super nice place. It has a very clean feel, and the fact that they pour you an IPA as soon as you walk in is a plus. The guy behind the counter was cool… which was refreshing.
They offer online booking, look up Ken and thank me later.

Wow, is really all I can say. My girlfriend and I were walking around Brooklyn, and came across here.
Ken cut my hair, and he is AMAZING. If people are complaining about spending $ 42 on a haircut.relax. You get what you pay for. I love my hair, i always THOUGHT it was perfect until ken started cutting. He’s a great guy, and really knows what he’s doing.
My hair looks amazing, and worth every damn penny! I’ll definitely be back.

Great place to get a fresh cut. My man Kenny gets my cut just right and he is a master of bedside manner. I have a tough hairline to manage and he never let’s me down. Definitely has a strong attention to detail and genuinely loves his craft.
Nice environment plus complimentary beer makes for a fantastic combination.

I, like many others who left reviews before me, used to go to Tony before B&B and followed him when he opened the new shop. The new space is pretty amazing. The ambiance is laid back, modern and comfortable. The quality of work and products available are always top-​notch!
I really like being able to sample some of the products to get an idea of whether or not they work for me. It’s also great because they offer you a beer, sparkling water, or this cool bubbly coffee soda while you’re waiting for your appointment.
This area of Brooklyn has many cool coffee shops and restaurants as well. I’m definitely a dedicated client and I don’t even live in NYC!

Every time I come I feel welcomed with a smile and an offer of nice refreshing beer or a sparkling water, great place, clean, spacious and kind of retro look. I’ve been here a few times and love it every time,
I see Tony and he takes care of my growing beard, he is a beard master, while in the chair i am pampered, eucalyptus scent towels are part of the experience and I love it. Always leave looking better, happy and relaxed.

Not sure what I would do without Eva to make me presentable. Phenomenal haircuts at a good price in a wonderful little shop. I have made this my permanent stop for haircuts as it’s easy to get into, I get a beer while I wait, and leave looking 100 times better than when I entered…

I go see Eva every two weeks and she always does an incredible job on my hair. She always listens to what I am thinking and helps me come up with the perfect cut and plan for my hair long term. Just easy to talk to, super nice and does an impeccable job.

I was super impressed with not only my haircut but, my entire experience at Blue and Black. From the space to the beer on tap (other half) to the person cutting my hair, everything exceeded my expectations.
Eva, was incredibly friendly and bright and most importantly talented. She did everything from trim my crazy eyebrows to rinse my hair after the cut so I could head back to work and not shed into people beers. I really enjoyed the hot towel on my face at the end. It was a top notch experience.
When I headed back to the bar, I got several compliments through out the evening. I normally hate the process of getting my hair cut. I have to say, i actually enjoyed it this time.
Will be back for sure.
