Good place to swing by and have breakfast. We were driving back home from teardropping in Los Padres National Forest and drove into Carpinteria. Found this little café. Had the Huevos Rancheros with Chorizo on a crispy corn tortilla special. Was not on the menu. Very tasty and at a good price… $ 11.59. My wife had the Worker Benedict biscuit, poached eggs, potatoes, bacon & gravy… $ 11.59. Well worth it and worth the stop. Coffee refills kept coming and the staff is nice.

Went here the other day and I’m not sure if it was just an off day for them but it was pretty subpar. They seemed understaffed even though it wasn’t that busy. The couple next to us asked for ketchup and the waitress responded pretty snippy to them and then whispered«sure, I have nothing but time.» They didn’t check on us and we had to go inside if we needed something. Not the end of the world, but a little silly. And the food wasn’t great. We got two different dishes and they were just average. It’s such a cute looking spot, so it just wasn’t as good as we expected. But again, maybe it was just an off day for them. I’ve only gone once, so I don’t know if that’s out of character for it.

Our breakfast at the Worker Bee Café this morning was delicious. I had a 2 egg omelette with free range eggs(additional $.50 per egg for free range) with both jack and cheddar cheese, onion, tomato and ham. I also ordered the home fries with it. The omelette is the same price regardless of how many items are added. You have a choice of several veggies and meats to add to the omelette. My boyfriend really enjoyed the potato skin hash with two eggs over easy, home fries. He said it was excellent. We both enjoyed our breakfast and will return. It was interesting to be charged $.35 cents for a container to take leftovers home in though.

So cute and so delicious. I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs and wheat toast. They basically give you an entire loaf of bread. I am a huge fan of corned beef and have had it so many places and make it entirely too frequently yet this is the best fucking corned beef I have ever had. This place is so cute but there was only one man working the bar and all the tables so please be patient and don’t come here if you’re in a rush! My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito which had potatoes inside and was also delicious. Wish I could eat this every day. If you live in Carpinteria you’re very lucky.

FOODISGOOD! We had breakfast, it was good, not great, but I would eat here again… IF it didn’t take us 1.5 hours to get bacon and eggs and get out of here. No wait for a table, 11 people in the restaurant, over an hour to get basic breakfast food in front of us. Really nice staff, I like the place, but man…

Delicious! We had a lovely, scrumptious breakfast(the worker’s benedict). The service was personal, the food was awesome, and the restaurant is perfectly located within walking distance from the beach. We will go back as often as possible.

Excellent… very folksy, hard working… family run diner. We had breakfast. I had the breakfast burrito with jalapeño bacon, and my lady had corned beef hash and eggs. We left happy and stuffed. Coffee was good too. What more do you want… we left like we enjoyed a little piece of Carlenterias charm and rolled into breakfast. Highly recommend

My boyfriend and I had breakfast here yesterday and WOW! It was the perfect little café, easy parking out back, and the FOOD! I ordered the American Breakfast: 2 eggs over medium, extra crispy hash browns, crispy bacon, crispy gluten free toast.(can you tell I am picky??) EVERYTHING was PERFECTLYPREPARED. I mean perfect. We live in SB but will certainly come back for the 15 minute drive… it’s worth it. Thanks guys! Nice work!

this place was tasty. but they were super busy when we came in for brunch, so it was quite slow, and I kept finding myself commiserating with the plight of my waitress, but what was nice was that she took it all in stride and was pretty efficient. the guy that was serving didn’t so much. and the food was good and fresh. and it was crowded because it’s a nice place, in a nice town by the beach, in a nice place, filled with nice people. go us.

Great breakfast, but please remodel. Get the cute, beachy vibe. The«Bee» thing just doesn’t work. Please hire some more help. 1 person cannot do it alone – effectively!!!

We love driving down to Carp for Worker Bee! A little pricey, BUT portions are huge so that makes sense. Service is great, everyone is incredibly friendly. Always sit at the bar! Corned beef hash is good!

Good breakfast food but it’s a hit and miss with customer service. We were not acknowledged and had to flag our waiter down and was given a «wait finger» sign as he walked pass us to help others. He was busy refilling others glasses, cleaning tables, bringing orders, etc. When he came to our table He just said sorry we are busy, what can I get you. I mentioned to him that we have been waiting for awhile and we were not even acknowledged. His response was«I did acknowledge you» and shook his head. All I needed was for him to say sorry I will be with you in a minute. Period. While ordering he was in a rush just shouting out the next thing(do you want white, wheat…) when we were not even finish with our sentence. Needless to say we were not happy since we felt that the regulars and everyone else was receiving service and we were just being rushed with poor service. I suggest to the new owners to value every customer and perhaps schedule one more person to work on weekends. To the patrons, come in when it’s slow. We have been there on other days and services by the lady owner was great. Just come at a slower time and keep in mind when we were there about 90% of tables were full and they were overwhelmed.

I wish I could actually rate this place ZERO. Never have I had service so slow and incompetent. Such good reviews, we really went in with a good mood and easy manner. They need only be semi good to ensure a positive review… But they blew it, hard. We went for breakfast and ordered immediately, a family of 5(so not huge). There were no other people waiting in line when we arrived, so didn’t expect any hang-up with meal. However, after about 45min we noticed several new patrons arrived, seated and served ahead of us. The waiter was clearly disorganized, moving around frantically but not actually accomplishing much. Our table was ignored despite being there the longest. We eventually flagged a server down and asked about the food status. 20 min later(with cranky kids), still no service or even an ETA. After noticing several people getting served ahead of us(again) we reluctantly left. Never have I had to do that! Congratulations for an epic fail. Severely over rated establishment. Try some place else.

I love this place and I can’t stop telling people that live over 2 hours from it. I feel like everyone needs to experience this place! PLEASE. First of all, I love the ambience of it. It’s always quiet, no music — just natural. It’s not just regular breakfast here and nice service; it’s unique and flavorful breakfast and honestly passionate service. What I love: homemade corned beef hash burrito and the potato skin hash with halapeno bacon and British style fried eggs.
