Hollandia Produce, L.P., the largest U S grower/​shipper of living lettuces and leafy greens, can trace its corporate roots to a sound foundation in all sectors of greenhouse agriculture. Over its 44 year existence, the family owned and operated business has produced premium quality cut flowers, blooming plants, hot house cucumbers and cluster tomatoes.

Today, Hollandia Produce, L.P. provides America’s produce merchandisers and food service purveyors with a year-​round supply of hydroponically grown living lettuces and leafy greens that are rooted in freshness and alive with flavor. Marketed under the Live Gourmet and certified organic Grower Pete’s brands, all products are harvested with their roots intact and individually packaged to provide consumers with a repeatable freshness experience with every purchase.

Business Owner

(Grower) Pete Overgaag, CEO was destined to be a greenhouse vegetable grower. It’s been a long-​standing tradition in his family going back to its roots in Holland starting with his grandfathers. Coming from a long line of greenhouse growers, he’s quick to say his parents are the biggest influencers on his life.

Today, Hollandia offers Living Butter Lettuce, Living 3-​in-​1 Lettuce, Living Red Butter Lettuce, and Living Upland Cress under its Live Gourmet brand, along with its certified organic Grower Pete’s Living Butter Lettuce and Living Organic Watercress. All lettuce products are packaged in the company’s protective «Squircle» clamshell, and all are sold with their roots still attached, to keep the products as fresh as possible when they arrive in store.
