Specialties

Saint’s Cove offers a number of dishes to include fish and chicken tacos as well as a variety of burgers (both beef and turkey). In addition we have specialty wraps and baskets. We are known for our Mahi Mahi tacos and sandwiches as well as our Oahu burger that comes with pineapple, bacon, mozzarella cheese and a special sauce. Many of the sauces we use are made right here at The Cove to include our very popular special ranch dressing. We have a full bar and offer live entertainment on the weekends.

History

Established in 2014.

Saint’s Cove was the dream of Nick and Elaine Augustine. We both wanted to have a beach /​sports bar in a beach community as a «new career» and found Pleasure Island to be the perfect location to pursue that dream. The Cove is a family run business with the whole family involved in the menu selection and operation. Our goal is to offer a refreshing menu in a family atmosphere while keeping the «beach» feel to the location. Our outdoor seating adds to the beach ambience we strive for. The name «Saint’s Cove» was the brain child of the «kids». Nick is a retired Marine and his call sign while flying for the Corps was «Saint». Come join the fun at The Cove!

Great find in the Carolina Beach area. Interior seating area is small and cozy. Service here was great, very friendly. BJ got a local beer. For his meal he got a grouper fish sandwich and really liked it. The fries here are the battered kind and were extra crispy and delicious. I got the popcorn shrimp basket off the kid’s menu, (yes, they let me order it) and it was really good. Good place to eat when in the area.

We stopped by on Saturday afternoon and were able to enjoy seating on the deck. The two servers were very friendly and attentive. The food took a while but was worth it. The Breakfast Burger and side of Onion Rings were fresh and very hot, tasty and perfectly done. The Chicken Tacos were also hot and fresh with great ranch sauce and a portion of flavorful beans and rice on the side. We enjoyed every bite and will be back soon.

This place is adorable. I felt like I’d been going there for years, everyone was so incredibly friendly. Food was good, not great, but good. I’ll go back again just for the ambiance. Maybe my next meal will be great.

Had a nice afternoon at Saints Cove, nice place with an outdoor deck that seats more then the restaurant. We had the fried pickles and grouper bites, both were very good. Great conversation at the bar. We will definitely go back next time we are in Carolina Beach.

Stopped in for lunch based using Unilocal reviews and was very pleased, there was something for everyone on the menu — even my almost nine year old. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich; insanely good with a garlic Dijon dressing. Don’t even get me started on the fries — OMG I could have made a meal of those just by themselves. Tried my father’s clam strips and bit down on a little sand — that’s some freshness right there! If we are back in the Wilmington area I will definitely stop in here again.

The family decided between this place and Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar and this place won because of the better review. Arrived at 6:15 Wednesday night and we are one of 2 or 3 groups there. Dead! Waitstaff was fine. Attached is the picture of my Fried Grouper basket after eating one small bite of the fish and 2 fries. I shouldn’t need to say more about the portion size. the fish and fries were good but all gone in 2 minutes. My father had a burger that he ordered medium and was well done and he said it tasted like it could have been frozen. My wife had a wrap she said was great but the sweet potato fries were soggy and cold. Everyone else said theirs was fine. Disappointed and will not go back. Oh my razberry margarita tasted like the canned lime-​a-​rita in the grocery stores.
Well looks like I can’t post a photo so I need to say that I got one small piece of fish and a handful of fries. I literally thought it was a child portion at first then saw the grouper is not available in kids meal.

This place is alright. The server was nice although I guess he didn’t know the menu very well since he told us the wrong prices for drinks. And they did not have mint so they couldn’t make mojitos. Strange. They sat us at a table that seemed too small for our group. And then tried to bring a beach chair over to squeeze one last person in. Very strange. The food was pretty good. They recommended hush puppies as an appetizer. They weren’t anything special. The food was okay and some of our orders were wrong but they fixed them. I got a mahi mahi sandwich and I’m eating my leftovers as I write this and it’s still pretty good the next day. I’d get it again if I came back here! And I heard the fish tacos were pretty good as well but I wouldn’t get them haha.

The Oahu burger is a must! The fried pickles were good and the homemade ranch to dip them in was thick and creamy. But the Oahu burger. Oooh my. I can’t wait to go back next summer! Bacon, mozzarella, sweet teriyaki, and pineapple. Perfect.

Not bad! Not great! It was ok!
They had a decent, not great selection of draft beers– Carolina Beach’s Good Hops Brewery was one of them.
Beer specials that day were Coors Light $ 2 and PBR 1.50 if that’s your thing.
They was a ton of outside seating and it was pretty shaded/​covered so that was a plus. Not as much seating inside. We sat per usual at the bar. Bartender was sweet and attentive.
Hubby had the O ring Burger with fries and I had the Bourbon Burger with sweet potato fries. Again– pretty good! I’d get it again– just not the BEST burger ever. But good.
So for lunch 6 total beers we paid a little over $ 50…maybe a little pricey for lunch… but it is the beach

Great food. 4 stars for having a short staff right at opening. We had a party of 6. Our food ranged from chicken tenders, wings, and three different burgers. The chicken tender baskets were a little over priced for having only 3 tenders, but they were still tasty.

Food was ok. My boys loved the kids food but the fries and the popcorn shrimp were not that great. Most of the tables outside were higher tables so we couldn’t use the high chair for our daughter (the regular size tables were taken). Service was decent but lacking on basic skills (table was dirty and we ended up cleaning it, they served our food and forgot the silverware/​napkins). Forget about drinks though… Rasperrita taste like cough syrup.

This place was amazing. Seating was a little tricky cause it was pretty outside and thats were everybody wanted to be. Are waitress (the manager) was absolutely amazing. Never had service like this!!! Recommend to everybody.

Saints Cove is an excellent choice if you’re in Carolina Beach.
The location is conveniently located just off the beach, and has a great deck for outdoor dining.
The food at Saints has been outstanding each time I’ve been there. The burger choices are unique and the fish tacos are on point. Try the bourbon balls if you’re looking for a unique app.
Probably the best aspect of saints is the service. The bartenders and servers are attentive, funny and helpful. They will really make sure you have a great meal.
