History

Established in 2006.

Joshua Images Inc. d.b.a. Canvas Giclee Printing, originally started in NY, where owner and professional photographer Joshua McClure followed his artistic passion for photography, art, and printing. Before moving to Carolina Beach, NC and forming Joshua Images Inc. in 2006, Joshua owned a wet lab photo printing company. After over 20 years of photographing and printing for other professional artists and photographers, Joshua decided to head down to Carolina Beach and call it home while continuing print and shoot his photography. With the advancement of technology and the popularity of digital photography, Joshua decided to stop doing the wet lab photo process and focus his efforts on assisting digital photographers and artists looking for art reproduction services that are not only affordable, but professional quality to meet their expectations and demands at their gallery exhibits.

Professionally, I have been doing art and photography for over 25 years. My career started in New York where I did commissioned photography for many famous artists, musicians, and even the Grand Central Station rehabilitation project. I built a wet lab photography printing studio in NY and printed for many artists and photographers like myself. After many years of doing business in NY, I decided to move to the NC coast in Carolina Beach, where I frequently visited and eventually fell in love with the city. This is where I decided to call my new home. Because I love photography and the art community, and my passion for printing continued to grow, I decided to start Canvas Giclee Printing and Can​vas​G​i​cleeP​rint​ing​.com to offer professional digital printing and art reproduction services to a community not used to this level of quality and professional printing. The NC art communities are much different than those of NY, and I felt there was a need for artists & photographers on the coast.
