Roger was awesome and professional. Came out promptly for a free estimate and then his guys were able to get back pretty quick to do the work needed. They were fast, professional, knowledgable, and nice. I would highly recommend and we will use them again!

I am rating Tully not so much for the project but for the professional service they provided. After a stormy night with power line down I desperately seek for help to restore power. It’s difficult to get attention after a storm, but Roger from Tully answered the phone, and from that point on diagnosis and quotation was done electronically. Although I ended up getting another contractor completed the job due to timing, I want to write up Tully to commend their professional and efficiency service in the middle of our emergency. Their quotation was also competitive. Well done Roger and team!

I had a small electrical job (install a GFCI outlet outside) and Tully Electric worked beautifully for me. Its pricing was fair and provided to me when contacting them. The work was completed on time, on budget and in a professional manner. I will use them in a heartbeat should the need arise.

It looks like I am not the only person this has happened to, as another reviewer also posted something similar. I called Tully to help me replace a few lights in hard to reach places as well as other electrical work. On the phone, the owner, Roger, sounded very helpful and accommodating to my requests and loosely provided me with a day he could come out. He eventually stated he would «text» me a quote for the job but never did, he also requested that I text him images of my lights in order to better understand my job, which I willingly did, but then never saw a response from him. I called him back twice over the next two days and never got an answer or a return call. Not really sure what happened, but I would keep this in mind.

One of the best business I’ve had to work with ever. They are always prompt with a response. I’ve never had to wait longer then a couple of hours to get a response. They are always helpful and courteous. We had scones put in and it took less than an hour. We had an electrical socket put into the master bathroom and while running the wire from a GFI outlet to the one we wanted, they found out another socket the guest bathroom wasn’t GFI protected and took the time to make that one safely wired with no extra cost. I highly recommend them and they are always reasonably priced and all the work has been done promptly.

Used Tully some months ago to correct and remove some outdated/​dangerous wiring in our attic before we could have it properly insulated. They came out quickly for a free inspection and we talked about what needed to be done. Ended up also having them install a new ceiling fan, in our living room where there was not previously any light or fan, as well as a new exhaust fan & light in our bathroom, and new wall switches. The guys were great, it wasn’t the easiest job, removing the outdated knob & tube wiring in the attic. The younger assistant had some issues with the wiring to a switch, but the owner of the company came out to help him figure it out really fast. All work done very well (aside from some pencil markings on the ceiling to locate the center for the fan) and quickly. Will call them again if/​when I need electrical work done around the house.

What sets apart Tully Electric from other’s is their wonderful customer service. I emailed them for a quote for my mom’s kitchen light early in the morning, Roger was great in responding with a quote soon after. I called them later that day I had the pleasure to speak with Beth and setup an appointment for the next day. But Beth contacted me a little bit later and luckily there was an opening the same day. Roger’s team was great in installing the new fixture.
I’m really happy to have found them. And my parents were happy to have light in the kitchen again. Would highly recommend them.

Roger and his crew are the utmost professionals from their customer service right down to the work they do. We needed to install 6 can lights, redo some cabinet lighting and add another circuit which all in all would’ve been a pretty daunting task for any other company. But Roger and his team got it done and made sure to take proper care of our house and belongings as they moved from room to room. They helped us move the furniture, cover valuable items and even cleaned up afterwards. If we had questions or concerns they were happy to address them and never felt or acted as if we were annoying them or getting in their way. They really are a great team and we couldn’t be happier with them and their work! They will definitely be the first people we call for our future electrical needs.

These guys are fantastic! They upgraded my entire electrical system, punching out walls and having to take off my siding. When they left you would never have known that they’d been there! Everything was repaired and back to normal– old cloth-​covered wiring was gone, and now I don’t blow a circuit every time I microwave something. Heck, Roger even got my lawn mower working!
I will never use anyone else for electrical work.

I called to schedule an estimate on some work that I wanted to get done. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was super helpful in explaining the options I had. He even offered to call my city hall to check on building codes so that everything was done up to code. That alone was super impressive. HOWEVER, I never received the call back that I was told I would be receiving the following day to set up an estimate. If they didn’t want to do the work, they should have just told me.

We hired Tully Electric to install a ceiling fan with a remote switch in an upstairs bedroom of our house and we were getting condensation in the electric box where the ceiling fan was being mounted so Roger went into the attic and discovered that around the electric box it wasn’t insulated very well and put insulation around the box and conduit and that stopped the problem with getting water from condensation and then he installed the ceiling fan. Roger took the extra time to find the problem that caused my last remote to go bad in ceiling fan before he installed it. He was very professional and helpful and easy to talk to. Roger was very honest he gave me the estimated price over the phone and when I paid him it was exactly what he told me over the phone. I highly recommend Tully Electric and will use them again if we need an Electrician.

Unilocal has done it again and yeeeeeaaahhh I just found a new electrician. After all of the power of my condo went out and having a heck of a time getting a hold of my HOA and their «electrician», I called Tully. First talking to Josh, then to Roger over the phone, they were able to help me diagnose the issue over the phone without a service call. Turns out the main circuit breaker, which is in a different location of the building, was tripped. Add on to that, we also found out that it was for a different main breaker with a different unit number (geez).
Roger was truly a lifesaver!!! The other electrician would’ve said, «Can’t do nothing without looking at it.» Roger and his team take the time to walk you through it before making that decision. Absolutely priceless! I have a few electrical items I’m going to need to get done before I finally sell this place and when that time arises, Tully Electric is getting my business!!!

I could not be happier with the work preformed by Tulley Electric.
Roger, the owner, came out right away and we discussed what I need to be done. I wasn’t entirely sure what was needed, Roger explained what and why he recommended going the route we ended up going.
I needed to separate the electrical feed on my oven and microwave that would always trip the circuit if both were used at the same time. I also wanted to add some lights in my garage so that I could light my woodworking shop. The bad part for me was that I didn’t have any open slots on my circuit panel so I needed a larger panel as well.
We agreed on a price and I waited for the electricians to become available, a two week wait. I do not mind waiting, think about it, it someone can come over at any time they must not be that busy, and perhaps there is a reason they’re not that busy. Good quality servicers are generally busier than the bad ones.
I was not at home when the work was performed so this information came to me from my Wife who was present. The electricians were on time and friendly, they worked hard and were professional at all times. They did a good job and cleaned up their mess when they were done.
Based on my review of the work, it worked just like I expected and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. My only regret was not adding a wall outlet by my garage door, I mentioned this to Roger and he had his guys put one in on the house!
From the initial consultation to the delivery of the typed panel circuit reference chart, everything was done on time and as expected or more.
I would recommend without hesitation.

I cannot say enough good things about Tully Electric. When we had a major issue with our house, Tully responded quickly and professionally. The work was superb as was the customer service. We have since had Tully Electric back a second time to do more work on our house and will continue to use this firm. Rarely have I encountered a professional firm who is as competent, helpful and as Tully. They were on time, fairly priced and the type of business you want to work with. I cannot recommend Tully Electric strongly enough.

I had some pretty major electrical repairs that needed to done and Roger and his crew were great to work with. Roger was very responsive and listened to exactly what I needed. He didn’t try and over-​sell the work and was reasonably priced. His crew arrived on schedule and were quick, clean and did excellent work. Roger even stopped by after the work was completed to explain what was done and answered all of my questions. Tully Electric was great and I would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Added two new outlets in my house, I was also worried about aluminum wiring being present (due to the age of the house) but he checked and showed me that was not the case.
Did fast work, he matched the height of the outlets to other outlets in the rooms so it looked as if they had always been there. Cleaned up real well and didn’t leave any mess behind.
I highly recommend Tully and will be using them in the future.

Vintage homes are quirky things. Some of the antique features are charming, and others need updating. My bungalow never had porch lights, either in the front or back, and I decided to have some installed.
What an adventure.
After a horrific experience with a first electrician that ended with holes in the walls and a nonfunctioning fixture (also my first one star Unilocal review), I called Tully Electric. They saved the day. Along with my sanity.
Roger personally came out to see what the issues were and listen to my concerns. And believe me I was very upset and concerned. He was extremely professional, and explained to me how the lights should have been installed, along with what the code was in Cook County (something the previous electrician was obviously not familiar with).
He told me how his crew was going to re-​install the lights, check the wiring, and make sure everything was up to code. He also addressed my aesthetic concerns as the aforementioned electrician had left exposed conduit, crooked mountings and numerous holes.
Within a week he and his crew came out and worked like crazy to install the lights and fix everything, including rewiring and patching the holes. Skilled, polite and efficient, I felt they took pride in their work and actually cared about my home. When they were finished, everything looked great and I actually exhaled for the first time in a long time. They really went above and beyond.
My 100 year old bungalow is now happy, and so am I.
I am extremely impressed with Tully Electric, and moving forward they will be, without a doubt, my first choice for anything electrical.

I cannot recommend Roger Tully and his coworkers highly enough.
I have been having ongoing electrical problems for about 3 months. Half of my condo (1 breaker) would lose power, one appliance at a time. First my tv would start flashing on and off. Then my wireless router would go out. Then my hall lights… then my bedroom lights. I had to choose between using the internet or watching t. v… having a working alarm clock or having bedroom lights. It was quite the conundrum. When my breaker started making sizzling sounds when I flipped the switch, I figured this was a Bad Thing and called my first electrician, who did nothing, charge me $ 70, and a week later I was back to square one. Gr.
I tried again by calling Tully Electric. Mr. Tully was kind enough to come by the next day with his co-​worker Ken. They took a ten second look into the fuse box, diagnosed the problem and fixed it (worn out contact point in the breaker box upon which the first electrician had jammed a new breaker).
Mr. Tully also suggested he put in a separate outlet in the wall just for my space heater, since that was what had burnt out the first fuse. Apparently, you can’t run a space heater that takes 100% of the power from one wire and expect to run other appliances such as, say, a television, at the same time. Shocking. So, the two gentlemen put a hole in my wall under the fuse box and within 15 minutes, I had a new outlet on a 20 amp breaker that could power my space heater and keep my bedroom from getting too frosty.
As a sidenote, Tully Electric pays attention to detail. They started off putting an ivory-​colored outlet into my wall, realized my other outlets were white, and they immediately took out the ivory one and replaced it with white. They accidentally tracked something in on their shoes and asked for my carpet cleaner and removed the stains. I offered to do it myself, but they insisted on getting every last spot removed.
Very professional, helpful company. I would highly recommend them, and am happy to write a positive review for them.
Now, I’m going to watch t.v., turn on some lights, and go use my wireless router AT THE SAME TIME. Because I can.
