About what you’d expect from a chain oil change place.
This location is a block from home so Wifey-​poo and I have both brought our cars in for oil.
If you come in and ask for an oil change and get nothing else you’ll get a fair deal with good service. I’ve gotten anywhere from good to great service depending on who is working that day.
The only way you’ll go wrong is if you have them do anything but change the oil. Wiper blades cost 3x the price here and most other services are more expensive than going to a legit mechanic.. but for oil and only oil these guys are fine and have never given me bad service or done poor work.

You get a real shady feeling about these guys. With some of the managers, the service is good with others, they try to upsell you on everything, trying to replace things that don’t need to be fixed. I also didn’t see any prices posted for their oil changes.

We purchased a Groupon for Jiffy Lube. When we arrived a week ago there was a long wait and so we asked what day would be good to come back. They recommended Sunday afternoon. We came back today and there was no wait (great!) In the waiting area I pull up the Groupon on my phone and they inform me I need to have it printed out to be able to use it, other than being told to leave my keys in the car this is the first time I had spoken to anyone. I ask them to stop the oil change because I do not have a way to print it out at the store and I am afraid it will expire before I need another oil change. I am then informed that the oil has already been drained and I must pay for the oil change now without the Groupon (they were reasonably apologetic and polite about it). The service was done quickly and I’m not complaining about the workers, but the corporate procedure to handle the Groupon which we had already paid for is infuriating!
We will not be returning to Jiffy Lube.

Have been to this location a few times for mine and my wife’s car. They advertise a $ 24.99 special but then when you go in there it doesn’t include top offs and vacuuming etc. for that it was an extra $ 10 so I paid the extra $ 10 to leave and notice the car wasn’t vacuumed and 2 days after my windshield fluid was out. A few times have gone there and they are short staffed with a 20−30min wait to get the car in. Never going back to this location. Also wanted to charge over $ 30 for a cabin air filter when it take 30 second to change and is a $ 10 filter at auto zone. So I just bought it at auto zone to save $ 20… what a joke.

Understaffed, which they couldn’t help, but for an oil change, they told me it was going to be 45 minutes which was fine. 20 minutes later, they said it would be 90 minutes from that point. No apology, no justification. Acted like a hard nose about it. Just a bad way to do business even in such a small sample, especially with a direct competitor (Grease Monkey) a half mile away

I had my car there a couple of times. Never any high pressure at all. Just pointed out what needed replacing if necessary. Hey, it is a business right? If they can make money from something broken on my car, no harm done. Upselling is never bad only if it’s done with pressure. They never pushed me to buy if I refused. Anyway, very professional and polite guys.

Wow, am I impressed with Jiffy Lube in Carol Stream!
My tire air pressure looked low so I called to see if I could bring my car in just to have the tires checked.
Gio was so kind and provided exceptional, fast service. I was not charged for this service, which was very nice of Jiffy Lube.
I look forward to coming back for an oil change and would recommend this Jiffy Lube.

I came in at lunch time and was out within 15 minutes. Dwayne greeted me and they started on my oil change right away. After a few minutes, he advised me of add-​ons and options, explaining why he did or did not recommend particular items, and leaving the decisions up to me. I took some of the add-​ons, but declined most knowing that I can change the filters, for example, myself.
All told, this was a quick, easy, no-​nonsense oil change; Exactly what I wanted. I’ll be back again in 6 – 7,000 miles.

This place is filled with idiots. They always try and make you buy things you don’t need i. e wipers/​filters. The last time I was here one of the techs started putting oil in the break line!!! Will never be back!

I’ve been here probably a dozen times over the last couple of years. The best service that I have experienced has been a 1 – 2 star rating. Today was different.
Claudio was my tech, I came in and said what I needed in the middle of a phone call. He took my car, topped off the fluids, pumped air into my tires and vacuumed the interior. All within 20 minutes.
I am still in a state of shock. No lousy sales scams and a very nice rep. Not sure if this is a sign of things to come for this joint but it’s definitely a step in the right direction!

Things have changed here and I had a bad feeling when I was finished. It’s hard to explain, but I felt like I had been dealing with a used car dealer. Something just wasn’t right!
When I got there, there was nobody outside and none of the doors were open. I waited and then one opened, so I drove in. Then I opened the door and got out. THEN I was greeted. In the past, there was someone outside helping me out and talking to me. Not this time.
When I got out of my car, I was escorted to the waiting area. I was the only person there. Then I waited for them to call me and talk about what I wanted. What was I waiting for? What were they doing? They had no other customers! I just wanted an oil change. I got the talk about getting synthetic oil ($ 75-​$ 80!). I have a mini van for god’s sake and don’t need synthetic, but they were pushing it. Then I waited some more. Then I was called out for the «you need a new air filter and wiper blades» talk.
While they were working on my car, the technicians were yelling to each other. Not chit chatting, but yelling random numbers or the lead guy was yelling and asking the others if they did certain tasks. I was the only person there, so I don’t get why they couldn’t just talk to each other. It’s not like they were busy or standing far away from each other! It was bizarre.
When I was finished, I paid and then walked out to my car and got in. No thank you, no come see us again, nothing. I didn’t have to go there, but I felt like I was interrupting their day!
The entire experience was unsettling and I can’t put my finger on exactly why.

Always friendly and attentive here on the weekends. I’ve never had poor customer service at this location and I have been a regular customer for years. The complaints about upselling are ridiculous. What do you expect? The buisness model here is no different from most any other service chain. The staff has always been polite and has never been aggressive with their sales approach. People complaining need to learn to change their own oil. Otherwise, the convenience of a quick oil change and good service is what I have always received here.

Very nice staff, i went for an oil change. but I get the feeling that they are under a lot of pressure to sell certain things, today it was air filters. They sales pitch is hard, which I hate. I got the filters because I talked the guy down. However I will not be back. I’ll go back to Midas on Roosevelt in Wheaton. Much better super honest staff at that Midas and they don’t do commission there. Go to Midas not jiffy lube

Gave this place a second chance. BLEW IT! NEVER going there. NEVER recommending. Enough said.

FIRST OFF, WOW I’m suprised people haven’t Unilocaled more about this Jiffy Lube.
As a proud 1^st-​time-​owner of a Hyundai Sonata, I am really apprehensive with the maintenance I need to maintain. I have a dear friend who is a very good mechanic that told me I need an oil change. Horror stories of young teen girls getting taken advantage of at car service places because they have NO CLUE what they’re doing, rushed through my head and the thought of going to someone I don’t know scared the monkeys out of me.
After what seemed like days trying to find a cheap decent place, buying oil and the crap to potentially have my bf do it, returning the crap because he’s never worked on a new car like mine, and calling around trying to get it done before starting my commute to college… we came here.
YES. small waiting room, but I forgive it for their timely service. They were super busy, but I was able to leave within an 1 and a half of waiting. I don’t know about you but that’s good.
I stuck to my guns when they of course offered all the premiums, and the guy who helped me didn’t pressure me to do anything. I appreciate this since those thoughts of not knowing anything about cars again ran through my head.
They were having a managers special, so I only paid about 30 $, and normally for the basic basic oil of their oil change is $ 41.
Oh yeah the oil change only comes with this package where they visibly check for problem areas, clean windows and vacuum the car. UH ONLY THING IS THAT I STILL FOUND LEAVES underneath my passenger seat.
I guess I’ll be going back here if I don’t learn myself how to change my oil.

Wow. It is amazing this place is open for business after the clear lack of customer service and general people skills maintained by the staff and management.
Sunday, I checked the website to find that Jiffy Lube in Carol Stream was open until 6pm. Being just after 4pm, I had plenty of time. I pulled in at exactly 4:30pm. The moment I pulled around, a guy stopped us and said they were now closing. We informed him the website said 6pm. He told us we were wrong and that they close at 5pm. Remember, it is 4:30pm. So we point this out to him. He walks away.
We pulled around and parked to find the manager. The manager on duty was Tony. He informed us they close at 4pm. This brings the total to four different times we have been given. Upon trying to politely point this out to him, Tony would not let us speak and kept speaking over us. He was belligerent. After repeated attempts to speak, we finally got in a word citing our inability to get him to speak to us calmly. At this point, he told us he’d call the cops on us. Yeah, nice.
We left. A letter to the general manager and the corporate office soon to follow.
