Since FM seems to have turned its back on true Oldies music in favor of some watered-​down, «classic hits» format that focus groups told advertisers they wanted, AM seems to have started picking up the slack. WKYO is all that is on in my garage and my car. The only beef I have is their less-​than-​smooth disc jockeying that often results in several seconds of songs playing over one another; and the abrupt smash cuts to news that occurs at the top of every hour (often in the middle of a song!). Still, until they have some competition, I will be listening and trying to patronize their advertisers.
