Raya’s Pizzeria Headquarters Ofc

Great pizza, strange business practice.
I want to start by saying that Raya’s has great pizza and we have ordered from them for years. Recently, we had an experience that was kind of strange.
We called for delivery and were told that they do not deliver to our address. We have always ordered delivery from Raya’s and we were told that they have never delivered to our area. Odd.
So, we decided to give them another shot. Ordered for delivery, and what do you know, they deliver to our address. So I requested to pay with a credit card, which is how we have paid in the past. They asked for a tip for the driver, which I thought was odd because, why would we tip the driver before we get our pizza?
Do you tip a bartender before you get your beer?
Do you tip your server as she is taking your order?
Do you tip the bell boy as you hand him your luggage?
I would say no, so that struck me as weird.
Then, the pizza shows up, I add a tip for the driver on the receipt, and was told that they already ran my card and I could not add a tip after the fact. I have never heard of this before in my life. Every other place that delivers allows for a tip to be added upon delivery. Not only is this a backwards practice on the part of the business, but it is unfair to the driver, and makes us, the customers, look like jerks because we don’t carry cash. Needless to say, our time doing business with Raya’s is over.
