History

Established in 2012.

Sphynx Spa is presently located INSIDE The Ginkgo Tree in Carmel as well as a location in Broad Ripple. I (Nicky, the esthetician) started my career in Greenwood @ Beauty Brands. After deciding to branch out and work for myself, she found space in Carmel to start my business. I’ve used Groupon/​Living Social/​Perks to get my name out there, I got some really wonderful clients from those avenues. Now my clients are sharing me with their friends and family… That’s absolutely the greatest compliment!

Esthetician… Got into waxing to make waxing better for my clients… I had some crazy experiences before I went to school, which made me wonder… why is sometimes getting waxed terrible and other times it’s bearable. I attended classes in 2011 to learn why. Now I strive to give my clients the best and quickest wax experience I can~

Had a brazini with Nichol today at the Broad Ripple location. She was amazing. Super professional, easy going, and skilled. My last brazilian at another facility (Bambu salon) was a total nightmare — so bad that I resolved to DIY for awhile until I could work up the courage to go back to a salon. So I was very nervous about being on the table again. It was quick, relatively painless, and I’m very happy with the results. I will recommend Nichol to anyone who asks!

I went to see Nichol yesterday and she is wonderful! She is a veteran at her craft and she’s incredibly professionally. She made me feel incredibly comfortable and at ease during my session.
I booked my appointment online and I mentioned that I wanted a full Brazilian. She actually read the comments and she actually understood what I meant by a «full Brazilian». I’m originally from California and I’ve been in Indy for 5 years and it’s taken 5 years to find an amazing esthetician! It’s so unfortunate that I’m getting ready to relocate back home because I would definitely come back and see Nichol.

Love this place! Great location on a side street of cute downtown Carmel. I came here for my first Brazilian wax and was a bit nervous but Nicole made me feel very comfortable and talked me through it! They also have a deal thru Groupon which is awesome. My hairstylist, Britt, also works in the hair salon at the Carmel location and she’s the best, always cuts my hair exactly how I like it. This is definitely my go-​to spa!

I’ve been going to Nicky for about a year and have nothing but great things to say. I’m extremely picky, and well versed when it comes to Brazilian waxes. Nicky is great. Very professional, fast, and thorough. I’ve likely tried every place in Indy and Carmel and there isn’t a better place to receive this service at a very fair price, and better than most who charge significantly more for an equal or lesser service. Highly recommended!

Love this place! The owner is very professional and courteous. She takes time to fully explain services and will answer all your questions. This is a very intimate spa so you don’t have to worry about crowds.
