Quickie Review: You’re better off going elsewhere or just waiting for Netflix and chill.
Ever since this theater was taken under new management a handful of years ago they have consistently dropped in quality. There’s a reason why I’d rather drive to Hamilton 16 or Flix Brewery and that’s because they know how to take care of the customer, keep a clean and welcoming environment and, most importantly, have cheaper prices.
I really want Regal to thrive and become a hot spot in the community, but for now they’re just an image of their former self… especially due to the faded paint. Come on. You’re on 146^th. There’s a certain presentation you have to maintain given the area.

I won’t be back. Every inch of my bag was searched. I waited to see if anyone else was searched and they either forgot to search or barely had them open the bags.

Wow, the price for evening movies are $ 11 for adults. This is the first time I attended this place for a movie (my friend chose it). Unfortunately for her with a Regal’s reward card, as of Dec. 4, 2015 (the day before), the theater is no longer discounting $ 1 off. Fortunately, for everyone with me, I had enough Entertainment coupons of $ 2 off (my Christmas present to them — haha) movies over $ 8 at full price.

I live in Chicago, but was in Carmel visiting my family. Imagine my shock when the tickets cost the same price as my theatre on Michigan Avenue for half the quality. The theatre itself smelled moldy, the lobby smelled like burnt popcorn, the seats had lost most of their cushioning. They had the old tiny theatre style seats with no leg room rather than the spacious recliners that have become standard in most other parts of the country. Very disappointing, I won’t be bringing my family here again.

This theater is large and has a lot of screens. You get $ 1 off when you use your Regal card. I am hoping they do some updates to it soon. I’d love to see more comfortable seats and a way to re-​fill your own drinks like AMC has. It’s close to our home though and the big thing is we don’t have to go to the mall to get there and fight for parking.
They do now hire a police officer to check bags for guns. This was a Saturday night and he searched every bag and purse of everyone who entered. It was right where they also take your tickets. I guess that’s how it is in today’s age.

First, they don’t have student discounts which was very disappointing. Movie cost $ 11 per person. Then I had my bag searched. I let them because I have nothing to hide but I felt very violated. I wish I would had read the reviews before coming here. Then we decided to get a slush and I had my heart set on cherry. Nope out of cherry only have coke AND the small cost 5.38! Then went into the theater and it is so small!!! See the photos in actually standing all the way to the back. Will not be returning.

We did not see anyone else in line subjected to personal carry in item search~ required by the female ticket taker to look inside her purse– touch her things, in front of everyone else standing line. RACIALLY PROFILED

Upon entering the theatre with my grandchildren ages 7 and 3, I was told I had to have my purse searched. I was extremely surprised and asked why, I was told she was looking for weapons. My response was ok for our safety, the minute I opened my purse I was told I couldn’t bring in a snack for the children. It cost us $ 30.00 to enter the theatre and $ 15.00 for popcorn and a drink, $ 45.00 to take two children to a weekday matinée is quite costly and to be searched is outrageous. In my opinion if they are so concerned about weapons being brought into the theatre they need to install metal detectors. What’s next the pat down for snacks. I’m sure they will never see me again.

Yes, this theatre is old and in need of a good coat of exterior paint and maybe a deep carpet cleaning. However, the seats are clean, the sound is great, they show new movies with lots of different time options, and the people who work here are pretty friendly.
Case in point: About five minutes after getting to my seat with my bag of popcorn, I proceeded to accidentally dump the entire bag all over myself and my seat (it’s a long story, but it involves children, so I’ll blame them). I went to the concession area to buy another bag, but after explaining what happened to the guy behind the counter, he gave me a refill on the house, saying that accidents happen to everyone. Wow! It’s a small thing, but that endeared me to this establishment.

First, the theater is BEHIND the Lowes. There are no signs and the road wraps around the left of Loews. The theater is not visible from the main road. We may have been one of 10 people at the theater on a cold, rainy Tuesday evening. We jokingly referred to our date as ‘a private screening’. So if crowds aren’t your thing this is your spot through the week. The theater was clean and the staff were nice. the sound quality was good. Overall, a nice experience.

Average as average. As others have mentioned it isn’t as new and nice as Hamilton 16. They also don’t have cool features like reserved seating or food at your seat like Studio Movie Grill or the upcoming Flix. With all that said this is the most convenient theater to where I live so it is the one I go to the most. For just watching a movie and having some popcorn and a soda the experience is fine.

There’s really nothing wrong with it, they have IMAX and all of the latest movies so no complaints there. I’ve been going there ever since we’ve lived here for ten years and the staff have always had that extra bit of friendliness that makes this theatre stand out as far as staff goes.

It’s an older theater but overall an ok experience. It’s not the cleanest or the most up to date, but it’s close.
It’s comfortable and the staff is friendly. Not much more you could ask for in your local theater. Become a crown rewards member. It’s free and you can get point toward free movies and small popcorn.

Horrible! I went to see a movie after it had been out for about three weeks. Other theaters discount tickets to five dollars after two but not here. They charged full price for a 4:30pm showing!
Once inside the theater the décor was very old, and the screen was smaller than most theaters in the area. After the movie started I saw that the screen was stained in several areas. Also I could clearly hear the movie in the theater next to us.
We will not be back there. The AMC at Traders Point is much nicer!

High but average ticket prices. Expensive concessions. So, typical theater. But, nicer than average employees (in my four years of experience) and usually not too crowded. It’s close, convenient, and clean enough. I recommend the Regal Club — earn a couple of free tickets every year. And unlike AMC’s club, it is free.

We made the drive up north for the convenience of an 8:20 PM showing after missing the 7:30 closer to home.

The theatre staff at tickets and concessions were nice young folks who work part time at a movie theatre. Respectful and did their jobs.
The bathroom, however, was a public health threat at level def-​con 5 red alert maximum danger. Haven’t seen anything like that since… oh who wants to remember such filth?
The security officer at the door checking for minors entering the R-​rated movie was nice enough and smiled at me when I walked by twice (in search of a tolerable bathroom) but his presence should have been a red flag because it foreshadowed events to come.
Namely, the sheer number of teenagers and immature adults who could NOT go 25 minutes without checking their phones.
For the love of all that is polite and holy, people, do NOT EVER use your phone during a movie. Never ever ever. My favorite theatre in the world (RagTag Cinema in Columbia, MO) announces to everyone that we are all paying to see one light projector at work and therefore all other light-​projecting devices must be turned off. Using your phone is robbing others of the experience they have paid for and if you use your phone you will be asked to leave without a refund.
And THAT is how it should be.
I will try not to return to this theater, but I must remind myself that the clientele is not their fault. A stricter mobile phone policy might be helpful, however.

I frequent this theatre and I enjoy it. Yes, it is an older theatre and yes, it is not as clean and sparkling new like other local theatres but that is what I like about it. It reminds me of how movie theatres used to be. Honestly, I hate making a trip to Castleton, fighting my way through the parking lot and being packed into a theatre with 200 other people (who usually can’t be quiet!). Regal is a bit smaller and I have never had any issues with people playing on their phones or talking through a movie.
The employees are always friendly, other movie patrons are courteous and they always have the most recent movies playing. Obviously, movie and concession prices suck ($ 4.25 for a bottle of Dasani!!!) but you will have that at ANY movie theatre that you visit.

I have only had good experiences at this theatre. Although it may not be the fanciest, most ritziest, theatre you’ve been to – it serves the purpose of providing you a clean and nice atmosphere to enjoy the film.
With not being completely familiar with the area, it took me awhile to get a thorough understanding of the easiest way to reach the Regal. Once I went a few times, it was easy enough. I frequent this theatre because it has a local feel to it and I enjoy that setting — the setting in which you don’t feel as if you’re being an inconvenience to the workers.

I’m done with this theater. I really hate that they have made zero updates in the three years I’ve lived in the area. There are MUCH nicer places to spend $ 10/​ticket for a film. Most specifically the theater areas are filthy. But also small kids CANNOT sit in the flip seats. My son stood through Wreck It Ralph b/​c he immediately got stuck in the seat b/​c he didn’t weigh enough to keep the seat from flipping up on him. This is not conducive to good film watching especially when my child is enamored. I felt so bad for him that he couldn’t adequately sit in the seats. I was absolutely pissed to be honest, but we didn’t pay for him anyway so I couldn’t complain too much.
It’s just such a disappointment that this is the closest movie theater to me. I will now only take him to Castleton of Hamilton Town Center, as both of these places have the seats that are more like recliners and do not flip up at all.
