The Carmel shop is a sister shop to Mears Auto & Truck in Brownsburg. Well known in Brownsburg and surrounding communities for high quality workmanship, integrity, and fair pricing, and for outstanding Customer Service.

I needed an oil change while on a trip, and saw this place was highly recommended on Unilocal.I’m so glad I took a chance! Very friendly staff, got me in and out quickly, did a great job, and didn’t try and sell me extra unnecessary services. Gave me honest advice for the next time I need an oil change. If I lived here I would make this my go to place!

We keep talking about the new owners, but the Unilocal picture has the guy I know, and see when I have to get my car and truck worked on. They do a great job, and take care of both my wife and I when we need anything done. They are honest, and reasonably priced. We will keep going to them, and other people should too. Mechanics like this are hard to find.

My AC was out in my car (normally a $ 200 repair) and they only charged me $ 100. I talked to Bob over the phone before going in and he was very polite and took extra time to explain things to me about what could be wrong. Also Sara (and her husband) are the new owners since January and are working very hard to spruce up the place, Sara was sweeping the floor when I walked in and was very nice and informative. These people seem very caring and determined to put the customer first. Please fellow Unilocal-​ers help support businesses like this one.

I took my car to Mears Auto & Truck service based on reviews I’ve read on Unilocal.Although it was Kevin, not Joe at the counter (apparently the place changed owners), service was just as good as other reviewers previously had here. I dropped the car off in the morning — without an appointment — they diagnosed and fixed the problem, and the car was ready for pick up shortly after 5PM. Prices were reasonable, Kevin was friendly and he explained what work was done on the car.
This is a trustworthy place that does quick and reasonably priced work — I will definitely be bringing my car back here for routine maintenance in the future.

Update. This business was recently sold to a new owner. I’ll admit… that kind of scared me, because I’d been going to Joe long enough that I felt comfortable with him, and trusted him and his work.
Turns out, my fears were unfounded. The new owner kept the same mechanics, and, like Joe, is very easy to work with, and, I’ve found, honest. I can’t see us taking our vehicles anywhere else.

I have a highly modified ’10 Honda Accord coupe and it’s tough to find a shop one can trust when they require a place that can properly work on lowered vehicles. Joe and his technicians have done amazing work on my vehicle the past three years. I have searched around Indianapolis and gone to various places for alignments and custom work and after finding Carmel Auto & Truck Svc Cntr, there is honestly no need to search further.
Joe always offers a ride back to my work or house if need be, has up front prices, great per hour labor rates and I’d have no qualms about bringing a high end car here either… I’ve seen the work they did on a RS6 Audi and it was extensive and thorough… through and through. Although it’s easy to simply go to a dealership with a newer car, the way your car is treated matters. and from what I’ve seen, Joe’s staff treats your vehicle like it’s their own. I’ve seen way too many errors coming out of the stealership service bays, requiring multiple trips to fix an issue. Never once has that happened here.
I’m often asked about where I take my car for work and I don’t hesitate a bit to recommend Carmel ATSC.

The owner and staff have always been courteous and fair, and they do excellent work — from a basic oil change to a major repair. It is comforting to know that there is a car repair business in town that is not always trying to take you for a ride.
