Carmel has so many great options for grocery shopping, and this Marsh is one of them. I was mostly impressed by the huge plant and flower section at the front of the store. There were so many beautiful indoor plants, and I wanted to take them all home with me(I settled for buying two). This will definitely be a go-to spot for purchasing indoor potted plants in the future. Beyond that, the produce and bakery area is very organized, and the food available looked fresh. There’s a salad bar in the produce section, with salad fixings and fruit. It all looked really good. Everything about the store is super organized — it’s a pleasant place to shop. They also have shopping carts with cars attached to the front, and if you have young children, you know how important this is! The kind person who bagged my groceries gave my kids stickers, too. Yay for kid-friendliness! This Marsh is open 24 hours, which is nice. They also have a Redbox kiosk here.

The store is always clean and they do have fresh food. Once I bought chicken at Marsh on 86th street. Came home and the chicken had a foul smell. I took it to return same day to Marsh on 116th and they refunded me my money x 1.5 and apologized. The store is pricey but their food selection and quality of food is almost always fresh and good. I like buying there meats mostly. Their meats at that location never smell and always fresh

Omg $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ No way with prices like that you think they’d have more employees working in self checkout

This Marsh is enormous! I got lost. I think Marsh is overpriced, but this is a lovely store.

This has to be the best grocery in town! It’s very close to my home,(which is great for convenience) but even if it wasn’t I think I would still choose marsh. Their meat quality is superb. During the warmer months when cookouts are a must, you really can’t go wrong when purchasing steaks from marsh. They always turn out juicy and look really fresh. I am willing to pay a bit more the quality they provide.

I shop there quite regularly… in fact I worked for Marsh on annual reports(freelance) for several years and must say… in spite of a few stories I heard… I really liked the people I worked with. Of course now that the Marsh family is gone, it is completely different. But at least two of the things Mr. Marsh insisted on are still true: I think they have one of the best meat departments and one of the pastry departments around. I’m sure there are excellent stand alone butchers around Carmel, but for day-to-day consistent quality at a «fairly decent price,» the Marsh meat market stands out. The deli is excellent, as is the produce section. Can’t tell you about wine etc. because I haven’t had any for years. If they have lost any ground at all it is in variety of specialty items like olive oils and foreign foods and maybe coffee. Overall, though, they are still a class act with reasonable prices. Trivia note: Marsh was among the first, if not THE first, to use bar scanners at the cash register.

The grocery store is clean & tidy blah blah blah. They have one of THECLEANEST salad bars I have ever seen, & constantly stock that was well as the fruit bar. I honestly come here once a week. I suggest you do to if you are in the area.

This is one of my favorite places to grab lunch on a work day. The salad bar is diverse and has quality ingredients, and it’s very affordable. Could use more salad dressing options though. Lots of hot food lunch choices as well. It’s so convenient!

I went in for my first time last week after moving to Indy. I have heard their prices are notoriously higher than other supermarkets. And it seemed to be the case with many of the non-parishable items.(1.99 for kraft mac and cheese!). however the pluses are their deli is 1 $ less than another grocery chain and carries Dietz which is premium brand. I liked their meat and fish displays as well. They had fresh and wild caught fish. The mahi was frest. I thought the fruit and veggies were better quality(than their competitors) on about half the items I looked at but costed more. The staff was really helpful and attentive.

This Marsh is very near my work. It is a little strangely laid out, but not too hard to figure out. I go because it is a great place to grab lunch. They have really improved the store in the last year and it now boasts several lunch/dinner features. The have great salad, wing and asian bars. The also feature sushi, made daily. The have ribs and chick, served hot or cold, and a mini-cafateria for side dishes. They also have cold deli sandwiches and other goodies. It’s a good place to grab a inexpensive and good meal.
