Doubletree Guest Suites

Hotel location is so hard to find for someone who have no idea about this neighborhood.
Thanks to the city mayor, he is building roundabout’s everywhere and road to this hotel is literally closed.
So if you are coming from long way and keep your good vibes i don’t recommend this hotel for at least next 6 months or maybe more.
Go get yourself where you can find easily and dont get mad before get into your bed.

Our room was very musty, which sent me into a runny nose and sneezing fit. You can also hear people conversing outside the door. Our drain to the sink and tub were clogged. One of the double beds had a dent in it, plus the refrigerator was warm. You can also hear the guest staying on the upper floor going to the bathroom AND flushing. Bottom line: for a sleepless night stay here. And if no sleep is okay with you, let it be known it’s quite a problem leaving. There are only two dollies available in the entire hotel. We had to wait half an hour to get one, which put us behind schedule. The staff seem to be friendly –on a good note.

This place needs an upgrade. The room carpet is dirty and gross. The pad on the pull out couch has disgusting stains on it. Would not stay here again. I also agree the beds seem small.

My father, who grew up in Carmel, booked my husband, young son and I at this location for a weekend stay for the race and we ended up leaving after one night. Just a terrible experience. While the staff was friendly, the service was not up to Hilton standards. I understand this isn’t the Ritz or Four Seasons, but in a conference/​business hotel, I would at least expect a quiet night’s sleep.
First off, there was a group blasting a heavy base «boom box» out by the pool area with explicit lyrics (e.g. f*&k and derogatory rap lyrics) while there were young kids and families outside (and in the restaurant joining the pool area). I can understand a little music on race weekend and I am definitely not a prude, but our table was shaking it was so loud. When we were at the front desk for something else, one of the employees mentioned there were other complaints as well about the music blasting by the pool. Even so, the music continued and no one, that I could see, told the party to turn down the music. That evening, we got into bed to get some rest around 10pm and the neighboring room was also blasting music and banging the walls until 2am. Even with ear plugs, I didn’t sleep a wink.
When I complained the following day, I made a request for a quiet room. The employee at the front desk put us in another room out of the Hilton Honors area (which was perfectly fine, just as long as it was quiet as we had a long drive the next morning). Once again, there was a party in the neighboring room with music bass so loud, our glasses on our bedside tables were shaking (as was our bed). My husband and I looked at each other and decided to make the three hour drive back at 8:30pm. Not exactly what we had in mind for a relaxing weekend and not at all what I would expect from Hilton Hotels/​a Gold membership booking. To top it off, they didn’t even try to comp us for the room we couldn’t sleep in that evening. Rather, they charged us both nights at a lower rate.

I’m a diamond hilton member and have loved the property due to its location but this will be my last stay. The room and property are just too decrepit. The big spider I killed on the wall before I went to bed kept me itching all night. I burned a candle to help dispel the musty smell of the room and put a towel on the floor in front of the vet wet carpet in front of the sink that soaked my socks. It definitely needs some work.

This hotel is substandard. It is serviceable, the staff does their best, but it is just old and dingy. They’re getting remodeled at the end of 2015, but for now it’s just a two star hotel.

A great place to stay while in Carmel, In. Every time we come and visit Indianapolis we stay here at this hotel. So many great places to visit within driving distance. The staff are so friendly. Especially, the waiter who to our order for breakfast went above and beyond.
We enjoy the great breakfast. I had a Denver omelet. It was really yummy.
The rooms were very cleaned and spacious.
We love the cookies they give out.
We will return back to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree in Carmel, Indiana.
Warm cookies and coffee when we arrived. Beds were a bit small for 2 people to sleep in and the bathroom was very small. Other than that, it was very nice! Very clean also. The best part of the stay is all the employees were all so nice and helpful!

I dug my Doubletree Experience!
The outside of this hotel looks a little old and rough, and it’s parking lot is a bit under construction at this moment!
But once inside we were greeted with smiles and cookies! Ashley signed up for Hilton Honors a while a go, so we got our 89 dollar room upgraded! Which was very nice! Free bottles of water in the room.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and very spacious! The bathroom was modern and everything worked like a charm!
We had a couple drinks at the bar, and the bartender was great! Telling jokes and laughing and asked us if we would like to change the channel from FOX NEWS to Sports, we said yes!
Nice pool and work out room! All and All, this place looks a little scary from the outside, but once you are in, you win! Great service and great price!

With the price, yes you cannot ask much. But i feel this double might be the bottom one or two that i stayed with similar price. Room is old and needs lots updates. Front desk was not friendly. The weird thing is she was friendly and explained the hotel very well to the guy after me, and that made me feel bad about this place at the first place. The fridge is broken in my room. Lots stain in the room. Terrible insulation so you can hear everything at the pool. Sorry but i cannot recommend this hotel at all especially there areamy other choices in this area. Don’t bother try out this one.

Decent experience at the Doubletree. In all honesty this is the Doubletree and not the Ritz so I wasn’t expecting much. I was travelling to the area for a wedding and this was one of the places recommended for the weekend. A friend of mine and I shared the double bed room and we had absolutely no qualms with our weekend time there.
The room was divided up into a living room with door access to the bedroom. We rarely used the place but when we had downtown we enjoyed the fact that we had a moveable, adjustable, flat screen TV in the bedroom area for both occupants to watch. Beds were decent. Pillows were a bit on the too soft side for me but nevertheless we had a great nights sleep.
We partook in the morning continental buffett breakfast and was fairly pleased with the selection. Server was excellent and was very accomodating even when we got to the breakfast right at closing time.
Overall I would definitely stay here again if I was in town. Exactly what you would expect from a typical hotel experience. Nothing more. Nothing less.

My colleagues all stay here on our company’s dime when they come into town, and they like it, so I recommended it to my dad and his wife for their recent visit. I’ve visited a few times now, though I haven’t stayed in it myself. I’m surprised with all the terrible reviews, because my dad seemed especially happy with it, and he’s pretty picky; there are plenty of amenities for the price, and you get an actual suite automatically, which gives you much more space and is great especially for multi-​night stays. I was really impressed with what you get for the price. The pool is nice too, with both an indoor and outdoor section; the only problem is that it’s usually filled with kids. My colleagues enjoy the breakfast buffet, as well, when they visit.

Clean hotel despite looking a little worn down. Experienced good service and got a room upgrade. Had the breakfast buffet and was pleased with the quality of fresh fruit an other items available, including good coffee. Overall a good stay.

The staff doesn’t smile very much. The room is not a good floor plan for two as there is no way to use the sink area without waking everyone else.
There is nothing around the hotel so make sure you have a car if you want to get anywhere

Décor needs to be updated, stains everywhere. I could have even lived with that if it wasn’t for the smell. It even woke my husband up in the middle of night, it made you gag, i think the vent for the neighbors bathroom’s outlet was our room. We were told we would get free internet and buffet, nope — charged us for them both.

I stayed here on a business trip. My rule of thumb for a hotel is… would I bring my family back and stay if on vacation? The answer for the Doubletree is no.
In my room there were stains on the carpet (co-​workers indicated the same for their rooms), broken tiles in the bathroom, the bathroom sink was missing the basin stopper, severe scratches and marks on the walls, and paper thin walls. The entire hotel was in need of a makeover.
The bed was fine, the furniture was clean. The desk chair need to be replaced as the stuffing was coming out of it. Towels were clean and the toiletries were fine.
I would have given the Doubletree 1 star. However, the breakfast buffet was very good. You get a voucher if you are a Hilton Honors member with Silver status or higher.

Traveling on business, I stayed in a suite with living room and bedroom, kitchenette and it was fine. Room décor and freshness were acceptable. There were no odors, etc. The main issue I experienced within this hotel is the walls, very thin. I could hear water running from neighboring rooms, etc. The paid wi-​fi worked fine, the bed a little firm but otherwise OK. As for front office — the wake up call I requested didn’t happen — there was no courtesy call to see if I needed anything. There is no included food in the price of the room. There was a restaurant that is not a restaurant but you can purchase food if you don’t want to go out — I did.
The property fronts Rt 31 (Meridian Street) but entrance is behind the building meaning you have make a right at a cross street and enter the back of property. That’s a bit unusual. Overall for my short overnight stay it was fine. There is a pool but I didn’t investigate. Carmel is regarded as a wealthy suburb of Indianapolis — you might want to investigate other hotels with more amenities in the area.

I wasn’t impressed with this Doubletree location. It served its purpose, that’s about all I can say about it. The décor/​furnishings are tired. Could really use some updating. We asked for the sofabed to be made up and it wasn’t so I got to make the bed myself. Awesome. The pool area was pretty nice. No cookies either (do they not do that anymore?). Eh. I’ll stay somewhere else next time.

A lot of kids (teams) but the staff stayed friendly and clean. Our room was nice and the value was fabulous. For the price and the location, I would definitely go back!

Rooms were comfortable, but I was given a 2 double bed room, when I reserved a King. Maid service could be better, as there were pretzels on the floor when I checked in and after a 2-​night stay, the maid still hadn’t cleaned them up. The skinny:
