It gives me great pleasure to review Creative Foods Catering. We planned our wedding in about 5 months total and couldn’t have been happier with their services.
First, their responsiveness was unparalleled. We felt like we were chasing down other caterers (never getting return calls, missed meetings, etc), but Mehmet and Michelle were incredibly prompt, pleasant, and easy to contact by phone or email.
Second, the tasting process was fun, convenient, and delicious. Mehmet came to our apartment in Manhattan and not only provided delicious food (so many options!) and detailed information, but managed to present it beautifully too. We immediately signed a contract because of his incredible service.
Third, Mehmet was wonderful and thorough during planning. He attended our venue walk-​through, met all our other vendors, provided linen samples, and communicated with our coordinator. Additionally, he and his team were able to work within our somewhat limited budget and give us exactly what we wanted at the right price. They even accommodated our unique décor requests and weird venue logistics.
Fourth, the wedding was gorgeous! All our guests commented on the quality of the food– from the passed appetizers, to the buffet, to the dessert shooters. The staff members were so attentive to us and to our guests and they even saved us a plate of appetizers so that we didn’t miss out (such a lovely touch)!
I wholeheartedly recommend Creative Foods Catering for their amazing service, delectable food, and kind attention to detail. Bravo and thanks for such an incredible event.

What can I say — It’s been said so many times (which is why we picked them!), but Creative Foods Catering are excellent. They are a fantastic company whom I cannot recommend enough.
Mehmet and Michelle make an incredible team — professional, understanding, affordable and communicative. We made all our arrangements in a rush, but they accommodated them all! Once we hired them, we knew we’d made the best choice. Planning was a breeze. Our wedding on 1.6.16 was a huge success, not in small part to the amazing food that was served and the professional staff that served it. Mehmet himself was on hand to guide us and ensure everything ran smoothly and to time.
Everyone, and I mean, everyone commented on the food that night, and running into friends after the event, it’s clear that the food was still very much on their minds. An incredible success.
Makes me want to get married all over again! Yum!

Creative Foods Catering was an amazing part of our Brooklyn wedding. I’m so happy we chose them!
We were looking for looking for a caterer that was both affordable and delicious. We wanted a menu that wasn’t just the usual played out wedding food. While CFC does offer the typical wedding dishes, Mehmet (the owner) being Turkish he can infuse some much more interesting and international flavors/​dishes as desired. We had pistachio-​crusted lamb chops and Mediterranean dip station for cocktail hour. For meal, we had Mediterranean salad, bistro filet, swordfish skewers, green onion scallions, and rice medley w/​nuts and fruit. Then a churro station and dessert shooters for dessert. It was completely fantastic — everything on that list was so delicious! People could not stop talking about how great the food was and my dad was waiting by the door to eat all those tender lamb chops as they came out!
While we were only searching for delicious food and affordability, I can’t say enough how important it was that CFC was so professional — and I know this would not have been the case with the other caterers we shortlisted. CFC were on top of everything, fully prepared, and always one step ahead of us. I didn’t think that professionalism would be so important for our casual wedding but that last month before the wedding got awfully hectic and to not have to worry at all about catering is so appreciated in retrospect. In addition to taking care of minor rentals as needed, Mehmet also gave us some tips from their prior experience on how to make sure the event goes smoothly (esp with our event being DIY). And Mehmet and his staff were always smiles and a treat to be around so that made things fun.
I fully recommend CFC, they are a real treat and leave a memorable impression on guests. Thank you Mehmet and team for such a great experience.

We found Mehmet in May or June, a little late for an October wedding, or so we thought. His menu was varied and prices attractive compared to other caterers we had talked to. As Texans, we were experiencing some serious sticker shock for a New York wedding. From beginning to the end on 10÷10÷15, he was very responsive to questions and requests, calling me even the day before with wine and beer concerns. Mehmet handled all rentals the day of and everything was perfectly set up, and he worked very well with our wedding coordinator. It could have been a spread in a magazine, it was so pretty. We had a cocktail hour with a delicious variety of appetizers, cheeses and fruit. The food was delicious, plentiful and beautifully presented with courteous staff. We also had a buffet following appetizers and it was as good as any I’ve ever had-​the filet was melt in your mouth tender and the food was the right temperature. In addition to a wedding and groom’s cake by our baker, Mehmet provided a wide variety of small bite and shooter desserts-​everyone loved them. There was plenty of wine and beer, with great selections, including some Texas beer my daughter wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests. Very professional. Highly recommend!

Mehmet and the team at Creative Foods Catering did an outstanding job with our wedding. I am very organized and like to keep on top of things, and Creative Foods had my vote of confidence early on. They were responsive and maintained an open flow of communication right up to the wedding. The service on our wedding day was especially impressive and, of course, the food was wonderful. My husband and I have received so many nice comments from our guests during and after the wedding. Other catering services were charging an arm and a leg, but Creative Food is unbelievable affordable, yet delivers high quality service way above what you pay. I highly recommend them for couples looking for a courteous, professional and cost-​effective catering service offering good food. I was skeptical at first, because it all sounded too good to be true, but I’m so happy with my decision.

Compared to other caterers in the NYC area, I found Creative Foods to be very affordable when you compare the high quality and quantity of the food you are getting.

My husband and I were thrilled with catering from Creative Foods. We really enjoyed working with Mehmet throughout the entire planning process because of his professionalism and easy-​going nature. CFC was recommended by a WeddingWire discussion board highlighting affordable caterers in the NYC-​area. When we gave a magic number to Mehmet, he assured us we would be able to feed our entire party without breaking the bank. We especially loved the passed hors d’oeuvres as well as the dessert shooters with mini spoons to complement a wedding cake we purchased from a separate vendor. We strongly recommend Mehmet to others planning a wedding in the NYC area.

Michelle and Mehmet were so wonderful through the entire process of planning our wedding. They catered to our every request and went above and beyond the day of the wedding to make everything look so fabulous. The price was just right and the food was amazing!

I cannot recommend Mehmet and his team enough. Not only was the food impeccable, but his staff was out of this world. My now-​husband and I decided to take an hour to ourselves after our wedding ceremony to have some drinks and appetizers alone during the cocktail hour to eat and take it all in (honestly the only time we got to eat all evening!). One of his staff in particular went to great lengths to make sure we had enough food, drinks, a candle, whatever we needed to be comfortable in that hour, and even offered to get us plates of food when she saw that we weren’t getting much of a chance to eat during dinner.
Of course, the second I got to the alter, I looked out at my guests and my first thought was, «what? So and so is here and only RSVP’d as tentative! I didn’t think she was coming! where will she and her guest sit?“I tried to file this away in my mind for later so I could be present in the ceremony LOL. Luckily we had some last minute cancellations (to be expected), so the second the ceremony was over, we alerted Mehmet, and he and is staff were ON IT and added chairs to the table I specified.
We had Mehmet at our home for the tasting, and it was out of this world. We had the beef skewers and falafel for appetizers as well as a mediterranean platter, salmon and beef options for dinner, and mini desserts served in shot glasses. We were so happy with everything from the appetizers to the dessert. I felt like we were really treating our guests to a delicious meal and not «wedding food,“and all for a very reasonable budget. He was also very helpful when it came to assisting with how much alcohol we should order to serve. We wanted 4 classic cocktails on the menu, and the bartenders did an amazing job creating them. (I’m sure it was a pain having people ordering specialty martinis all night)! Also, the glassware was beautiful, which was very important to my husband, the martini enthusiast.
We also rented the linens and ballroom chairs from Mehmet. The whole thing was beautiful and perfect. Mehmet was so easy to work with, positive, friendly, organized, and professional. When it came to the food and service on the big day, I did not need to worry, it was completely handled. I would highly recommend Creative Foods Catering for weddings or any other event. We would happily hire Mehmet again in the future and have already recommended him to several friends.

Mehmet and his staff made our wedding AMAZING. Everyone was so professional and the food was so good. Everybody loved the taste and variety. Mehmet and his staff went above their duties to make sure our night went perfect. So easy to work with and made it a smooth ride during our busy planning. He responded to our calls and emails the same day and the pricing he gave was the best in the area. We loved the décor they set up. Thank you for everything you did.

Mehmet and his team did a great job overall. He worked with our crazy work and travel schedules during the planning phase. Good things first, we really liked the food. Nothing was dry (probably due to butter-​power, but hey). Guests really liked the salmon, grilled asparagus, and baklava. Plus, budget friendly for the area (~$ 75 per person for entrees, desserts, ice, and labor ONLY, not including rentals, drinks, coffee service, cake, etc). Lastly, they had no problem plating just our dinner during cocktail hour, so we could eat before the guests.
We ended up not getting the rentals from him because I heard from other people that the quality could be a hit or miss and we already had someone we use. Maybe that’s why — we ordered exactly what Mehmet told us, but there were mishaps (not having plates and utensils for staff, so other staff complained to the groom, and he had to look for them during the reception — NOT okay). Also some guests told us that the sides they wanted ran out ¾th way through/didn’t get enough food, which frankly is embarrassing for us :(The buffet was staffed — most of our friends are petite/​not teenage boys — portioning in the beginning was screwed up or just didn’t make enough food. Also, there was a confusion over the vegetarian entrée. Though, they served an extra dessert, which could’ve been a generous plus, except I had told them I was bringing that specific item from a specialty store…
Overall, Mehmet and his team got the job done. They did minor setups, served food, and cleaned up as contracted. Some things weren’t ideal, but I think the job was harder because ours wasn’t at a conventional venue — I can’t say everything was perfect, because it wasn’t, but it was more than good. I would still recommend their service to others if you are getting married at a more conventional venue.

I can’t say enough good things about Mehmet and his staff at Creative Foods Catering! From the beginning, Mehmet was responsive, helpful, and the the tasting was delicious. On our big day, the staff was great, everything looked beautiful and again, the food was delicious (I only wish I had eaten more)! Thanks to Creative Foods Catering for helping make our day everything we dreamed it would be (without breaking the bank)!!

Creative foods solved two of our biggest needs for our wedding: food and rentals. It is so much easier to have one company take care of both. This way we were able to save time and make any last minute changes with one person.
Mehmet was also very easy to work with, very professional, and very organized. We appreciated that during our planning process when we were super busy planning everything else. The food was great and even better, it was one of the most affordable menus we’ve seen in our search. I would recommend this caterer for any event.

Mehmet and Creative Foods Catering catered my wedding recently. The entire experience was amazing. Mehmet actually came to Queens to prepare a tasting dinner for my me and my wife. The food was delicious so we decided to book him on the spot.
Mehmet was extremely friendly and informative throughout the process. I never felt like I didn’t know what I was paying for. He was always willing to work with us to make sure everything was as we wanted it.
On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. The food was as good as I remembered it to be. The staff was very friendly and professional. I couldn’t have asked for more from Creative Foods and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning an event.

Mehmet is the most incredible caterer I have ever met. He and his team of excellent staffers made my April 2014 wedding truly stand out in ways that I never could have imagined. Beforehand, he worked with me to ensure that I had all of the proper rentals and procedures in place in order to make this wedding even happen. He answered any question I had (promptly) and didn’t flinch if anything came up. He truly went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect.
Plus, his food was amazing! I have friends who are sous chefs/​line cooks and thus, very judgmental of all other food and even they said it was great. Mehmet was worth every (very reasonable) cent and more, and I am so happy he worked our wedding day. Even all of my other vendors loved him!

We were recently lucky to have Mehmet and his team cater our wedding in Brooklyn. Mehmet goes above and beyond to make everything perfect for your event. The food was awesome, the service was great. They were totally flexible when things in our schedule changed, or something on our end didn’t go as planned. I was never confronted with a single issue, they always had everything under control.
In the months leading up to my wedding, Mehmet was constantly in contact with me and truly made me feel like I was a priority. At once point I actually thought that I was emailing him to much and he told me to feel free to email him as much as I needed. He was really helpful, supportive and full of creative ideas.
Everything turned out beautifully, and it was wonderful to be able to relax and not worry for a moment if things were going smoothly. I can’t express how grateful we are that Mehmet was a part of our wedding!

I loved Mehmet’s service, professionalism, and overall know how! Mehmet worked within our budget and made sure everything was perfect. Everyone Raved and continues to rave about our wedding food. Whenever I read reviews, I am always skeptical but trust me Mehmet was worth every penny! My mother-​in-​law is a professional chef who cooks some of the most amazing food and every time she sees me she raves about the food at our wedding. A lot of my friends, who have since become engaged, have asked me for our caterers info. He had mini lamb chops as one of our cocktail our dishes and recently, eight months AFTER our wedding, I had a friend remark that every once in a while she dreams about those lamb chops! lol Wedding food is usually not that great, and Mehmet is determined to shatter that perception. Mehmet, the owner, put our minds to ease within the first moments of meeting him. Food is one of the biggest things when it comes to a wedding and getting it right can make or break an event. Mehmet was the man for us. His visions for our wedding catering was exactly what we wanted! Mehmet mixes professionalism with his personable attitude. This is what we wanted. We came from DC to have our wedding in NYC and needed to prepare lots of things from a great distance. One thing we didn’t worry about was the catering because Mehmet was in charge. He worked with our budget and was extremely fair with pricing. I felt that unlike many other vendors who over price services Mehmet truly has a passion for food and helping to make people’s special day just that; special! We also had a few changes after our initially meeting like adding servers, silverware/​plates, and renting cooking equipment– Mehmet took it all in stride and made sure to still stay in our budget. My husband work in the Bar/​Restaurant Industry in DC and we had many friends in attendance at our wedding who are chefs and they all raved about the food! I would highly recommend Creative Foods Catering! I plan on using them again for any events in the NY area I have planned in the next few years!
