What a bunch of crap they play now after dropping jazz! I got a kick from listening to the owner saying that he hates corporate radio, etc etc, but he owns a spa and other businesses and is playing music that the corporate comanies play! On AM no less! This station will fail. It should have stayed jazz. Thank God I have my iPod with over 2000 jazz pieces. No more radio for me!

We need Clint Eastwood to buy this station and bring back jazz!

Sad news. The new and foolish owners of this radio station changed from jazz to top 40. WTF?
Who needs this garbage? Bring back Brubeck, Guaraldi, Getz, etc. Jazz was what set KRML apart from the rest.

I am glad they are back on the air, because there are no other strictly Jazz stations within reach when I am in the car. (Gotta do KCSM on my PC)
But like another review said, IT’S LIKE GROUNDHOG DAY! Please get a DJ (maybe George Fuller) for a few keys hour a day.

I just discovered KRML while on a trip to Monterey with the family. I live in the SF Bay Area and usually listen to KCSM (but they talk too much!). I have a Grace Wifi internet radio and the TuneIn radio app on my iPhone that can play KRML and love it. My little girl loves to hear the seagulls on the promo. And now I see on their homepage that it is up for sale! There are no ads and there doesn’t appear to be any revenue stream. With an AM only signal a Jazz format just won’t make it. I’m afraid my new favorite isn’t long for this world. What a shame.

I was just about to update my review of KRML w/​the happy news that it’s again alive, when I read Sam R’s dispiriting news that it’s for sale again. We noticed the difference in the sound as soon as we were w/​in range. We haven’t been to the Monterey Peninsula since June of last year. There are a variety of announcer/​programmers, some live and some on tape. Both Keith Hines and Pete Fallico are on tape and I even noticed Stan Dunn from KJAZ has a taped program called French Kiss. I hope some jazz lover buys this station and sustains it. It’s a treasure.
