Ok, this place is amazing. Pastries are to die for. Had this kinda sweet roll called a sea biscuit. SOGOOD! Macarons were pretty good as well, but didn’t like the jelly in center on some of them. Good coffee as well and cute outside seating.

Best bakery in Oregon by my standards. This is a true, French style bakery with every kind of bread you could need and lots of creative and traditional pastries too. They even have lunch in their shop, which is super cute. They are at the Newberg Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoons as well.

Warning!!! This place is addicting! Just give in ;) It’s got amazing pastries and awesome costumer service! If you’re ever in the area, this is a perfect place to stop! It’s become one of my favorites! I’m sure you’ll find a pastry with your name on it!(Mine is chocolate hazelnut croissant! — try it!)

The bakery is within walking distance of where we are staying. By far the best french pastries I have ever had. The little poppers melt in your mouth — jalapeño, cremini mushroom, kalimata olive were the 3 we tried. Then it was the pastries… blueberry lemon ginger, peach mango, apple cinnamon. The croissants melt in your mouth. The staff was very friendly, and provided samples of their breads. Looking forward to going back again.

Lots of yummy pastries and bread, they have sweet and savory. Then head outside for your coffee needs. There is a drive through in parking lot. Excellent place to stop!

Delicious! We live within walking distance of a well known French bakery but drive 40 minutes just to come to this bakery when we can. The macarons are amazing, best I’ve ever had. My husband loves the 10 grain bread and everything else we’ve had here has been delicious too. Add stumptown coffee, friendly service and you can’t go wrong! Worth the trip out to Carlton just to visit the bakery.

Is there a heaven for people who loved delicious baked goods? I mean a place where delicious creations are good for you? The ones that lower cholesterol, are sugar and fat free … Oh do I hate my doctor right now! This place is that little heaven of delicious, fresh baked, floury goodness! From the breads to the pastries! The poppers were delicious, the croissants outstanding, the bread(which we bought to take home but ate the entire loaf during out vineyard tours with amazing local cheese(also sold at the bakery)) was quite good! The owner was very friendly and made some great suggestion on the places /vineyards to visit! Overall a great vendor of gods delicious gift of sweets to the human race! Yum!

Another WOW! for this little bakery. We were out wine tasting and stopped by for a sandwich to take for a picnic. We were just going to get one sandwich to split but the roman pizza looked interesting so we got that as well. We forgot to tell the lady it was«to go» so the sandwich and pizza came out on plates. We decided to just go with it and to eat half and ask for a box for the other half. We got the box but after one bite we knew nothing was going in that box. We chowed down on some great food. Both sandwich and pizza were awesome. We have a wood fired oven at home so we know our pizzas and this stood up in all respects to any pizza I have made or had. It was innovative and fresh. Just perfect.

The vanilla bean macarons are out of this world. I’m not a huge macaron fan but these are so good we went back the next day to get more. Also recommend the scones and fruit tarts. Service was friendly and helpful.

WOW. I think that is all I need to say, just a one-word review. But, I will elaborate for those, that want to know more. I stopped by after running a few errands out in the McMinnville, Carlton area. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I wasn’t expecting all the choices of pastries, macaroons, fresh baked bread, croutons,(oh MY!). It was really hard to decide, but I went with the peach-mango pastry. The crust was buttery and crisp, but not dried out. And, the fruits on the inside were very flavorful with the appropriate amount of sweetness. My only complaint would be that it was sticky… but really how is that even a problem? You just wash your hands when you are done eating the sticky-yumminess. And, in all honestly, it’s not even THAT sticky either. Moving on, they also have an assortment of Smith Teas available and house made hot chocolate and some other yummy things. This would be a great stop, after wine tasting in Carlton for some good pastries. I can’t wait to go back again!

The best bakery I’ve been to. The croissants are just as good as the ones you’d buy in Paris.

This is a cute little bakery in downtown Carlton. Their Earl Grey shortbread is amazing. I am also a fan of their cherry pastry. It is worth a stop!

The Carlton Bakery is a great little bakery right in the heart of Carlton. Freshly baked bread from the early hours of the morning, coupled with hand made pastries make a prefect combo. The Maple Hazelnut roll was especially decedent. We also enjoyed the quiches for breakfast. Sweet pastries and salty quiches made a great morning treat. The sandwiches for lunch sounded great, but didn’t get a chance to come back for any. Window shopping here is great and you really can’t go wrong with any item you order. To round out your morning fix, specialty coffees(lattes, mochas, etc.) are just outside. The shortbread cookies were a delicious item to take home with you.

I went here once a long time ago and didn’t remember it being so good, yet I tried it again yesterday after several people kept raving about it. I had a great experience. I ordered the veggie sandwich and it was very very good. I would have ordered the turkey or chicken but they couldn’t tell me where it came from. Very selective about meat if I do eat it. Anyhow, I was very happy with the sandwich… thank you.
