Windmill Banquet & Catering

What a gorgeous day to have a wedding! This place is where the windmill’s are by the carlsbad outlets.
My close friend decided to use this venue to have her wedding this past Saturday. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather was just perfect! Being a bridesmaid I had alot to do the day of but the Windmill Catering made it really easy for me.
The wedding coordinator (Cathy?) was very nice and very informative. She went through everything with us during the rehearsal and also through the actual wedding day.
The venue was an outside gazebo. It was a little bit weird that it’s in the courtyard of Holiday Inn, so random people who were staying there were able to see my friends get married. They do have a very lush green lawn, and add that with clean white chairs and you got a wedding! There was no aisle runner so the aisle was the grass.
The dinner venue was upstairs at TGIF’s haha.
Food: appetizers before the reception were ok. They had stuffed meatball mushrooms, beef crustini’s, and Prosciutto wrapped cantaloupe. Dinner: choice of ribeye, fish with mango coconut salsa, stuffed chicken.
The ribeye was way overcooked but the potatoes and asparagus it came flavorful. The fish with coconut salsa was very tasty, and the stuffed chicken was interesting with avocado.
The staff was very friendly and our glasses were never empty with cider or champagne. I really enjoyed this venue since the staff was very friendly and attentive.
