Veterans Memorial Park Hill

Kid friendly trails with some nice slow inclines.
This hill and series of trails will give you a reminder of how Carlsbad looked in years passed with the rolling hills and breezy views. There is little free space anymore in San Diego and you can see the encroachment of expensive homes everywhere. Hopefully this area stays intact
This is the perfect compliment after you visit the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center.
Park along side the street and follow the various trail arrows.
For extra fun, follow the trail to the golf course that goes under the freeway via concrete tunnel.

Escape. No pressure. And only when you are ready… this place will be waiting for you. At the exact right time. It knows. And you will know too. Still waiting, ever patiently. She can and will eventually show you her breathtaking views as you reach her itty bitty summit. After all, a summit is a summit, no matter how small.
