US Window & Door

Last Saturday, I just got 8 windows finally measured in my master bedroom. Can’t wait for them to be installed. Thank you U.S. Window & Doors.

We had all of our windows and two sliders replaced with Milgard Tuscany vinyl replacements in 2009 by US Window and Door. We were so happy with the whole process from start to finish, that when it came time to replace our wooden French door, we decided to go with US Window and Door again. I’m glad we did! From the ease of having Mark come out for the order, we decided on the Milgard Ultra fiberglass door, to having Martin out for measurements and final inspection, to speaking with the office staff, and instillation crew, everyone was professional and we are 100% happy with the service and final product. We needed a tear out for proper installation of the new door and the stucco repair blends right in with the existing stucco. Thanks US Window and Door!

US Window & Door were a referral from the in-​laws. After replacing all of their windows and back slider, we called them to schedule a French Door replacement. Everything from the initial consultation to the final inspection went smoothly. We are very happy with our new French doors and would recommend US Window & Door to anyone in the market.

I had 3 estimates for my new 11 windows and 3 doors.

check out the progress and a final inspection.
All of his workers were professional, clean, on time, and easy to work with. I also enjoyed the project manager.

I had two windows and one sliding door replaced by US Window & Door. They did an excellent job, and according to my mother, who was nice enough to go to my place while I was at work for the installation, Derek, the installer was GREAT.
The windows look outstanding, and I’m very, very pleased.

So here in Serra Mesa we have these really odd shaped windows that are difficult to do anything with. We had cracks in several of them, and we wanted to get double paned for better insulation. I love the new windows we had installed by US Window & Door co. The beige trim matches our stucco, and they look really good. To be honest I had no idea how they would turn out but I am really glad we chose these. The installation took less than a full day, the guys were really neat and cleaned up everything when they were done. Very professional.
And Martin the owner came out to do an inspection and make sure we had no complaints and that we were happy with the results. We plan to use this company again.

We used US Windows and are very pleased that we did! Our renovation project included replacing 4 windows and a sliding door on my Mother’s town home that was built over 50 years ago. In my opinion, the Milgard product, the customer service, the ease of installation and follow-​up were all top shelf! My husband and I are already thinking of using US Windows for our own home! Great experience! Our wood sided Victorian house in San Clemente needed new windows. Martin came out 4 or 5 times to measure and his hard work payed off. The installation was trouble free and everything fit perfectly. The framing on the house was in good condition, so we opted for «pocket» replacement with Kolby Ultra Series. 22 double hung, 4 push out casement, 2 new installation casement, new installation double french and single french doors. Looks perfect, Martin’s installation team was amazing! They were very careful with our home and the installation was «turn key». Highly recommend US Window and Door.

Martin and his team at US Window & Door do a great job. I had them back for a second time replacing the one sliding door we didn’t have them replace the first time around. Even though it was a much smaller job, we still saw the same great service.

US Windows was a random chose but the best one we could have made. From our initial appointment with Mark, who was very knowledgeable and helpful to the final inspection with Martin, very thorough. I must mention the staff from office to the field all giving their all too.
Love the Milgard Tuscany windows. Look great inside and out. Really cuts down on outside noise. We are looking forward to saving energy this winter too.
If you are thinking of getting new windows you won’t regret it but remember to use US Windows.

My first introduction to US Windows and doors was my salesperson. I told him the only reason I was getting new windows was to block out the noise from the community pool. He told me «they could have a party down there and you won’t hear a thing». He then measured all my windows. Took one week to get my bid. I emailed him several times and he finally told me he had been moving. When the owner, Martin, came out to check the measurements, he realized my salesperson had neglected to order tempered glass above the bathtub which is required by law. Interesting my salesperson didn’t know that. The installers came out and installed my windows. I asked them at the time if I had tempered glass above the tub. They looked at the glass and told me no. After they left I noticed a 4″ tear in the bottom of my screen for my slider in the bedroom. Just large enough for my indoor cats to get out. So in order for me to open the slider, I had to get the screen repaired immediately. It cost me $ 75.00 I was told by US Windows and Doors it was now my responsibility to call Millgard directly and set up the appointment for the tempered glass to be installed. They only come to Vista once a week and they give you a two hour window for your appt. I set a Saturday aside for my appt. When the Milgard installer came out he looked at my window and said it was tempered glass. He showed me where it was stamped right on the glass in two places. US Windows and doors installers must be new, he said. He then noticed the large scratch on the lock on the window. Most likely from installation he said, and he changed the lock for me. I was told Martin, the owner, comes out after installation to check everything out. It will be one week this Saturday and no one has called me to set up an appt. No one has addressed the hole in my screen either after I emailed them. Oh, and I can still hear lots of pool noise. Salesperson was very wrong. It’s better, but so not what he said it would be. I love my Millgard windows. They make a beautiful product with an amazing warranty. I will never use US Windows and Doors again. ever. I am amazed they have received so many good reviews. I am not happy with them.

We had our entire house replaced including blowing some walls out for new sliding doors. US W&D did a great job, even making some adjustments on the fly. Crew was respectful and highly competent. I would recommend them to anyone

We got our entire downstairs windows and a nice slider with enclosed blinds replaced by US Windows. I’m extremely happy with the high quality product, and with the professionalism of everyone at the company.
I chose them primarily because they use their own workers instead of subcontractors, and it makes a difference you can see in the pride taken in their work.
Company owner Martin ensures everything goes smoothly, and checks again at the end of the job.
I’m very pleased and highly recommend this company for your windows and doors. I plan to use them again for upstairs.

There were some problems with the order and communication but they were dealt with in a professional manner. The owner is a good guy that values his customers and their satisfaction. There aren’t many companies like this anymore. We’re very happy with our new door… I’m glad I went with these guys.

Extremely happy with the installation of 10 windows… the price was fair and competetive and the sales was «no pressure» (my personal fav). After our acceptance, Martin (owner) came out to do final install measurements and discussion of questions & options.
I must say, replacing old single pane windows with the new double pane low energy is the best home improvement for the money!
Not only energy efficient beyond expectation but the look is sleek and new!

Over 10 years ago I had Martin and his crew replace all my windows in our home that was built in 1953.
The quality and professionalism of every person I came in contact was 5 Star professionals! So much so, that back then my brother after seeing my home and the finished quality that he had his 2 story home done by Martin & U.S. Window — replacing all his window and doors.
Now, do you ever wonder or consider if you’ll be in your home as long as I have been in mine and think «will the company still be around to assist in any warranty repairs should I need them»?
Well, I recently called and spoke with Tim M. in service and he was able to immediately pull up my past work order and assist me on getting the replacement glass I needed & the order placed to manufacturing.
Tim contacted me when the glass arrived (which came within a week) and he provided a list of businesses who could replace the glass (as now the warranty is only for defects of the windows themselves and labor is no longer covered).
Not to take anything away from glass companies and their laborers, but if you’re skilled and somewhat of a handyman and have some tools (I was in the Automotive business for 44 years) you might be able to do it yourself.
Tim shared a few important things to consider though because I told him I was going to do the work myself. I was very appreciative that he would take the time to go above & beyond of just ordering the warranty glass and do this.
So, the most important points to take away from the review:

(2) They are a Great Business

We used U.S. Window and Door about 4 years ago in our previous house. We recently moved into a new home, and knew a window upgrade was one of the first things it needed. We called Martin, and he and his crew did their usual thorough quality job.
The new house had a couple larger window structures that required quite a bit of work, but the resulting product looked as if it had been designed right into the house from the beginning — perfectly integrated.
Martin was always prompt and communicated frequently. His crew was always polite, extremely hard working, and easy to talk to. The product is outstanding, and we noticed a significant reduction in noise, and heat from sunlight right away.
The new windows did exactly what we wanted them to do in our new home. And U.S. Window and Door made it easy and did a quality job.
