Toyota Carlsbad service was by far the best experience from any Toyota dealership I have been to, my car salesman’s name was Martin Suarez he helped me find the exact color and model Tacoma I was looking for, I went to another Toyota location closer to my house in ElCajon the service couldn’t compare. Martin Suarez found the exact model truck and color I was looking for and got it to the dealer in the same day. I will be returning to Toyota Carlsbad as his customer.

Normally, I would not write comments but I am writing this because people need to know what happened. I purchased new Prius and I have been going there to get my car serviced till 50,000 miles. I consider myself a loyal customer because I literally went through all dealership programs 1. Purchase the car when I was servicing the old prius (buy back program I think) 2. Purchased toyota care plus and 3. Really loved people that I dealt with, especially my service advisor that I have been going for the past 3 years since I moved down to Carlsbad. However everything changed on my 60,000 miles oil change. For 60,000 miles oil change, I had to take my car to Midas because I happened to be nearby and I didn’t have too much time to drive down to the dealership. Guess what I found! Midas told me that my oil filter has not been changed for awhile. It took them a long time to take it out because it was stuck in the housing. When they took it out, it was so brittle that you can literally crush it with your fingers. So I took video of Midas guy explaining what is wrong with the old oil filter. Then I reached out to Carlsbad toyota knowing that they will resolve this professionally with integrity and trust. I got a call from customer relationship manager and I was asked to send pictures and video on Friday. Soon after I sent them pictures and video on Friday. I got a call on next Monday and telling me that the part that I am showing in the picture and video isn’t the toyota oil filter. Then someone from the service call me and this is the first question he asked me. «Do you have a question for me?» I was dumbfounded and had to explain the situation. I don’t understand why he was not briefed with all information. Definitely communication issue or it might be the tactic. At the end, it didn’t work out and they told me that they cannot do anything without seeing that part which I didn’t have it by the time when they requested. I wish they would have asked me earlier so I could have saved it but they didn’t. Bottom line, there is no way I can prove and they actually talked to as if I am lying to them.
At the end, this is the question they asked me. «What do you want to get out of from this?»
My answer, I just want simple truth so I can move forward with my life. I was simply mad to find out about this.
So I gave up. It’s not worth it. Here are the facts,
I saw it and believe Midas saved my car from breaking down based on what I experienced. If Carlsbad toyota denies it, so be it.
Carlsbad toyota customer relation manager and service team are not willing to provide service and effort to resolve this issue.
Here are my lessons learned:
1. If you have an issue, make sure you have all the proofs because if you don’t they won’t trust you. Think twice so you won’t miss anything. That might not be enough. You might have to catch them in action.
2. Trust but verify. I would recommend to make sure you actually get what you paid for. Only way to do that is to either become a mechanic or check it with independent third party
3. Become a lawyer.
For me, I don’t think I can trust them anymore except for the service advisor. I gave them an opportunity to respond it with integrity and real effort to investigate it rather simply go back and ask their own staff who worked on them or is a part of the service team. What do you think it will happen?
At the end of the day, I really don’t see how you can convince them to audit their own work independently. It feels like I trusted the dealer too much. By the way, I was there at Midas and I could trust them based on interaction and experience. At least, now I know that my oil filter is new, hope it didn’t damage my car. I am very very disappointed at this dealership.

Stopped by on a whim to look at possibly buying a commuter car. Typical car buying experience here. Checked the car out, went for a test drive then of course they wanted to talk numbers. Bring out the classic foursquare sheet and let’s work out what you want to pay monthly! I might’ve felt pressured if I hadn’t done this a zillion times. Like I said, just what you’d expect. They were very accommodating to bring the exact color I wanted from the warehouse and showed everything to me. The lot in the back was pretty tight though, I was a little nervous driving out of there of possibly hitting a bunch of new cars!

After spending three ours and not being able to make a deal, I told the sales people what I really want. I received a call from the sales man about another car. After checking it out on line and chatting with a rep online the second car was not what I was looking for. A rep calls me and tells me that sirus-​xm radio only comes in new cars. I have had great experiences with John L. I have bought two used cars from him and he was straight forward when it came to finance the cars. The last sales man was kind of like a time share sales man. I’m not really looking to buy but if a del came up I would be interested.

I ama customer service FANATIC. and there are 3 people that work here that have gone above and beyond to genuinely make me feel like a valuable addition to the toyota brand. First, Mike Boone head honcho of the house — without his assistance in setting up my deal and understanding of what it took for a first time car buyer to actually be able to get a new car in my price range and be able to walk out that day feeling like i won the scenario, like i had. Next was Ernan in sales. We test drove multiple cars. He as a friend found out what i wanted and led me to it. Hooked me up with an insurance broker who without her i wouldnt have been able to walk out with my car that day and to this day (1.5 yrs later still have). And lastly but the biggest surprise is Mandy in finance! Mandy has helped me just recently actually and has helped with an issue (outside of toyotas control) to the point where SHE has called me back to make sure things are still going as planned. Her advice and guidance has been a blessing. And if this type of service got represented just for my purchase here, i know that anyone considering to check these guys out will be in remarkable hands!

I am so happy and pleased with my new Prius and the staff is outstanding and went out of their way to make me happy, my favorite salesman is Babaloo, he was most helpful and explained all the features with me with the utmost patience, I made a new friend! Thank you Carlsbad Toyota for all you did for me.

I had the best experience here. Excellent and honest customer service. I highly recommend this place for anyone in search of a vehicle.

It’s been a couple years since we visited this dealership but nothing has changed. The first time we were there, we were given information by the salesman about incentives and price that was inaccurate. We did not by a car there.
We went back this weekend, looking for a Prius. The salesman seemed professional and answered all of our questions. But when it was time to negotiate the price, it turned out that once again, the information we were initially given was wrong – the two incentives that the salesman told us were available could not be combined. He wasted our time. What’s more, the salesman «disappeared» and we were given the new, unfavorable information by a decidedly unprofessional closer. Needless to say, we left there without buying a car.

This is an excellent dealership. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family. In fact, I already started doing so.
I was assisted by Bob Bamoradi, Fleet Manager, who reached out to me in response to my TrueCar query and quoted an excellent price. My comfort level with the price was backed by TrueCar as well as the fact that it was significantly lower than the price quoted to me by another dealership after five hours of negotiations. When I arrived at Toyota Carlsbad, Mr. Bamoradi was very patient with me and not even once rushed me into making impulsive decisions. I could comfortably sit in his office and do any additional research online if I felt that I needed to do so. Once again, I was very pleased by Mr. Bamoradi’s patience and professionalism, especially knowing that I have quite a skeptical and anal personality. Also, when it was time for me to sign the contract, the finance manager, Tim Stamatelaky, treated me with the same level of candor and professionalism as Mr. Bamoradi.

I went to toyota of carlsbad to see what I would need to qualify for a truck. The salseman, Omar was a genuine guy who assisted me and I actually drove the truck home with the payments that I wanted. There was no pressure from omar and he answered each of my questions. He was very professional and I recomend him if you are looking for a vehicle.

Bought a Prius from Toyota Carlsbad way back in 2004, so when we totaled it a few days ago (minor fender bender but repair cost was more than the 14-​year-​old car was worth) we went back for another. In fact, we went with the intention of buying a RAV4 Hybrid, too, to replace our recently out of warranty 2009 Mercedez Benz.
When we arrived I asked to drive a RAV4 Hybrid. «We don’t have any,» were the first words out of the salesman’s mouth. When I said I thought they did, I’d seen one highlighted on their Web site, he said, «No we don’t.» That’s when we should have gone someplace else.
But – surprise, surprise – they did have one, and we drove it. And we drove a new Prius. But we found we’d have to wait 3 – 4 weeks for the RAV4. So we focused on the Prius and ultimately decided on a low mileage 2014 Prius V.
At which point we stopped being prospective customers and became shark bait. Getting a kill was all that mattered. Then, promised the paperwork process would be quick, it dragged on. So I waited. And waited.
«I can’t speed up the process; it is what it is,» the salesman said, and then he blamed me for the delay claiming I’d wasted an hour negotiating, which wasn’t true. With dinner guests waiting, I offered to leave a deposit and come back the next day to sign the papers. «No way, can’t do that. It’s illegal,» he told me.
Fed up, I finally asked if the new car store Finance and Insurance office could handle the transaction, instead of the one F&I salesman at the used car lot. What a concept! Somehow the idea that customer’s needs should come first never seemed to occur to anyone. The transaction finally complete, I drove away angry in a car half full of gas with a ding on the door.
The RAV4? Two days later we bought a CX-​5 at Bob Baker Mazda instead, and I couldn’t be happier with the way I was treated or with the vehicle. Plus it was delivered full of gas and they sent a thank you note.
Toyota Carlsbad apparently wasn’t interested enough in me as a customer to even say thank you and find out if I was happy – nevermind follow-​up on the RAV4.
So far, we love the 2014 Prius V, and I remain a Toyota fan, but I won’t buy another car from Toyota Carlsbad.

I purchased a vehicle from Toyota of Carlsbad this weekend and could not be more pleased with the professionalism of their team. I worked with Alonzo Alcocer (and Jessica) on the sales side (both were knowledgeable, professional, unflappable, and best of all… friendly).
I worked with Mandi Grudek in Finance, who was also highly competent and friendly.
I will refer this dealership and these individuals with pleasure!

Lease a car? Impossible, only for the rich people — not!
Last weekend my beautiful wife and I leased our 2^nd car from Toyota Carlsbad. We drove away with a brand new Toyota Corolla, 15,000 annual miles, for a lease payment of $ 149 per month. Wow!!!
And it wasn’t just the car. It was the people. From AAA to ZZZ, the people of Toyota Carlsbad are dynamite good! They are friendly, helpful, resourceful and on your side. Two of the top ones are: Farhad Hashimi, Sales Consultant, whose friendly smile, range of knowledge, and sincere interest in our behalf were absolutely wonderful; and, Adel Soliman, Finance Manager, whose connection with us was immediate and whose desire to help us in every way was exemplary!
We will never go anywhere else — TOYOTA CARLSBAD is the absolute best !!!

What you wrote was incorrect. From the time you took the car until I got a bill from you was over a month and I didn’t know that the headrests were not with the car. When you inspected the card when you took it you should have told me then and there would have never been a problem. And now knowing you were wrong you have changed your policies so that won’t happen again except I have to pay the price of $ 900.00
I would have been back since it talked to you but had to go to the hospital for a short time. I have made up signs and will be there regularly with my signs durning the week and weekends telling how I was roped off and also will be taking you to small claims court. If I happen to lose in small claims which I doubt I will appeal and then come back into court with a lawyer from my daughters law firm and guarantee my money will be refunded from you.
My daughter had seen what was going on with this problem and wrote what she seen happen and someone from Toyota wrote back and wanted to help. Because of the guide lines Unilocal has they took hers down with the info to contact Toyota she wore back to tell them she needed that info and they sent her back the info from something I wrote which wasn’t the one who contacted her. I understand why they took my daughters down and here is why
Personal experience: We want to hear about your firsthand consumer experience, not what you heard from your co-​worker or significant other. Try to tell your own story without resorting to broad generalizations and conclusory allegations.
But in this case someone that could have changed the outcome and me change the review didn’t work out. I will try and find out who from Toyota wanted to help and maybe change their review.
Toyota if Carlsbad came through. I wrote a new review but it’s gone. I change it to a five star because I think what happen is (short Version) the dealership wanted to make it right so they paid me back the money out of there own pocket and that tells you something

Worst car dealership with the worst customer service I have ever received. Drove a far distance from Santa Barbara because the car sales man gave us numbers that he couldn’t follow through with. Gave us bunch of lies and took about 4 hrs of our time there, not including the drive back. Will never recommend this car dealership to anyone. Don’t go!

The amazing team here at Toyota Carlsbad has elevated the bar for my bar buying experience. While this review is about 11 months late, the tingles and smiles are still there from driving off the lot in one of the best cars I have ever owned.
The sales staff were impeccable, and the process was both *Almost* stress free and very well executed. From follow up phone calls to ensuring you get the most out of your vehicle, this team hits a home run.
Only a couple of things I would have liked differently:
1. I was not looking to buy that day, and as such, was there alone. I traded in a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it had an average amount of personal items inside it. The issue of moving the Yakima roof cargo carrier. I was able to move most of it, but was left alone to complete the transfer from vehicle to vehicle. There was one guy «kinda» helping me, but for the most part I was left to do the heavy lifting alone. If I just spent that much money, I would think the team could hang around to help out getting me into the new vehicle and on my way. Kinda bummed on that one.
2. I mentioned follow up calls. Yes they occurred. No, they weren’t very helpful. More focused in the «How amazing were we?» department, rather than the «Are there any more questions regarding your vehicle?» department. I get it. You guys were amazing. I have a great new ride. I am on the hook for the next few years. Let’s keep it customer focused, shall we?
Overall — a 9.5 out of 10. 5 stars easily fits the bill here. But let’s not get too cocky.

I bought my Subaru Forester here (yes, at the Toyota dealership) barely used. The car was listed on Auto Trader’s website, which is how I located it at this particular dealership. We weren’t sure exactly where to go, and ended up at the new Toyota’s, but no problem, a short walk down the street and we were at the used car lot. Our salesperson Cindy let us take the Subaru around the area, and offered for us to take it on the freeway. I had driven them before, and already knew I was planning on getting it, just needed the right deal.
Unforutnately, my trade-​in value of my car I drove in was drastically lowered when we found out that it had been in an accident before we purchased it, and were apparently shown a fake CarFax by the dealer we bought it from. Toyota Carlsbad was very upfront about this, and basically said we’d have to take auction price. Hearing this was certainly shocking, but the offer that was made was still doable to purchase the Suba, so we went ahead. At this point, we were flipped over to a different salesperson (Ron maybe?) who offered us a finance offer, that we declined as our bank offered us a lower rate.
THEN, we moved on to financing to wrap things up with 5000 pieces of paperwork. At this point, the finance guy asked us what our bank rate was, and then matched it… so we ended up going with Toyota Carlsbad financing after all. The rate was a few percentage points lower than «Ron’s» so I am not sure where A+B comes together. Anywhoo, we took the rate. The finance guy, who’s name I cannot recall, was low pressure and didn’t really offer us to many other items; gap protection, extended warrantee etc. The car is still covered for another 2 years and 20k miles under the factory warrantee so we declined additional coverage… no problem and no pressure.
I would do business here again.

Roy was one the most amazing persons I have ever worked with! The pushy sales person thing was a turn off which is why I never bought a car from a dealership but Roy demolished that steriotype! He was so kind and poured his Prius knowledge into my being and then took me for a spin in the Prius!
I was blown away on his outstanding knowledge and his ability to be a real person with a prospect. I am in the sales business and that also made me wary of visiting but he was fantastic! I expressed my need to have my dad come see it and he wouldn’t let me purchase it until he saw the car. That stood out that he isn’t there for him but he is there for me and to make sure I love what I get!
Roy, you are truly an amazing human being! I am so glad and blessed to have met you! Hopefully you and your wife got to go out that night!
