All the fillings that she did have had to be replaced because they all have failed. Do yourself a favor and go to another dentist!

I went in for a cleaning a few days ago and Dr. Yazdi has a new hygienist and receptionist since my last visit. I forget their names, but they were both so sweet and caring. The hygienist did a very thorough job, I was very happy. She was able to explain everything she was doing as she worked, and calmed a little nervousness about using the ultrasonic scraper thing, as I am expecting my first little one. Very happy patient and looking forward to my next visit!

I look for 3 things when selecting a dentist: cleanliness, bedside (chairside?) manner and trustworthiness. In my opinion, Teresa and Dr. Yazdi have all 3. I’ve been a patient now for several years and have had several different procedures performed, so I feel that I’ve run the gamut of experiences. Most recently though, Teresa’s service was outstanding as she helped me find a specialist for my crown lengthening procedure. She went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable by providing clear cost and insurance information. Kudos to the entire office for years of exceptional service!

Unfortunately, we had the same experience here as many other reviewers.
Positives: Dr. Yazdi is a nice person. The office is clean. Appointments are not too difficult to come by.
Negatives: She pushes treatments and procedures that are not necessary. We went to her three times (my husband, myself, and our three older kids). Each time she attempted to «sell» things to us that were bogus. It was the most bizarre thing.
The final straw: my husband took the kids to the dentist after a doctors appointment. They needed to eat lunch in between appointments because it was a busy day. They got to the dentist 30 minutes early and told the receptionist that they were going to eat quickly if that was OK and then they could all brush their teeth before they went back. If not, he said, then he could hold on to the food and they could eat after the appointment. The receptionist assured them that would be fine so they started eating. Three minutes later (after about three bites of food) they were all called back to see the dentist. My husband told the hygienist that the kids were eating and hadn’t brushed yet. He apologized, telling her they hadn’t expected to be called back so early then asked if they could take two minutes to brush. She told him that was no problem and to come on back. When the dentist saw the kids she told my husband that they needed to brush better because they all had food in their teeth. He explained to her that they had literally JUST been eating in the waiting room and hadn’t had a chance to brush because they got called back so early. She didn’t seem to understand the concept and explained how the children needed to brush food out of their teeth. He tried explaining three times and she never understood. She then examined our youngest (at the time) child and told my husband he had a cavity and discoloration on his teeth. My husband said that wasn’t possible (since we brush his teeth morning and night and are very aware of what his pearly whites look like) and asked her to point it out. She did and he told her that it was a BEAN from the burrito that he had just been eating. She argued with him that it was a cavity and that he would need to go under anesthesia to get treatment. My husband again told her it was a bean. She argued. My husband then took his fingernail and scraped the bean off of our 2 year old’s tooth. She said «Oh. I guess it was some food» and then lapsed into the brushing teeth lecture again. Uhhh… she was just recommending a pretty serious dental procedure. Because of a bean. A dentist should be able to tell the difference. They then applied fluoride to all of our children’s teeth after they had been told not to, because it had just been done. Following which, they charged us four times as much as they should have for no apparent reason & hubby had to go back in and get a refund. Remember, this all happened during ONE visit. The other visits were similar but we thought we would give her a chance.

RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION, DO NOT GO HERE, MONEY HUNGRY DENTAL OFFICE! Theresa is complete liar. Due to extenuating circumstances I went to see Dr. Yazdi with an in-​progress crown. I was assured repeatedly by Theresa that as long as the dentist that started my crown didn’t submit a claim to my insurance, I would be reimbursed the $ 1300 deposit I paid Dr. Yazdi’s office to get the crown put in. Then she tricked me into signing a form waiving my insurance claim. My insurance won’t do anything because I signed the form & Dr. Yazdi has $ 1300 of my money for a covered benefit that I shouldn’t have had to pay. I learned my lesson & now I’ll pass it on to you, don’t be fooled!

Agreed with other reviews. Be warned there office seems money hungry. Theresa who is the receptionist has a very outgoing williness to help but very pushy towards getting money out of your pocket. Was told different prices for bridge work and when I mentioned that I would go elsewhere and would like my a copy of my x-​rays that they charged me for she insisted to charge me another $ 25 so there office can have a copy. WTF!!!

I agree… mahsan yazdi is very money hungry and will do whatever it takes to sell you something extra. Don’t waste you’re time there.

Dr. Yazdi is nice but her workmanship is terrible.
Several years ago, she identified that I needed a root canal. I looked at the X-​rays with her and it was pretty clear the decay was bad enough the tooth couldn’t be saved. I approved the work and she completed the root canal.
Three years later (at most) I’m in her office again and she explains the root canal needs to be retreated. She referred me to Dr Dao, an endodontist who was very good. Dr Dao took care when drilling through the crown for the retreatment, to save the crown (and my money).
I return to Dr. Yazdi for the follow-​up work and she explains the crown must be replaced, at a cost over a thousand dollars. Absent any other choice, I approve.
I am fitted with a temporary while I wait for the permanent crown. The temporary comes off 4 days after it is installed. Once the permanent arrives, the test fit shows that it doesn’t fit right and she has to send it back. Eventually she installs the new crown.
Less than a year later and I’m seeing a different dentist. Of all the work my teeth might need, that crown has him most concerned. There are obvious issues with the margins and potential decay under a crown which is less than 12 months old.
So happy to have found my new dentist, and even more happy not to be Dr Yazdi’s patient any longer.

I would never go back. I was assigned to this dental office by my insurance carrier. My appointment was for an exam and cleaning.
I waited 20 min in the front office before anyone saw me. The front office lady/​dental hygenist took x-​rays and the I sat in the dental chair (no magazine) for another 10 before Dr. Yazdi came over. She said I had a cavity which I thought was strange because I wasn’t having any sensitivity and then she went on for 10 minutes on getting invisilign. What? I have one tooth that’s moved slightly since I had braces — I don’t think I need invisilign.
Then, the front office lady came back to tell me that I was going to have to pay $ 200 to get my cavity filled. .. what??? I told her I had insurance and she said my insurance doesn’t cover what Dr. Yazdi wants to do.
I’ve already been there for like an hour at this point and nothing has been done except x-​rays and some hardcore upselling.
I tell her I need to think about the filling and I’d like to get started on the cleaning and she says that she actually CAN’T do the cleaning today because she has another patient who is scheduled to get a lot of work done and is waiting.
I ended up making an appointment with my husband’s dentist, Dr. Fruin for a second opinion. When I called Dr. Yazdi’s office to ask for the x-​rays to be sent to Dr. Fruin’s office, they were going to charge me $ 25 and make me come into the office twice, once to sign the consent form and another to pick the x-​rays up. They have some funky office hours and I wasn’t going to be able to take the time off of work to drive to their office twice in one week before my other appointment.
Long story short, I don’t have a cavity. According to Dr. Fruin, I have deep crevises (spelling?) and there’s crap that get’s in there that I can’t reach with a tooth brush. He scrapped it out and put a sealent on the tooth. I was done in 15 min.
Dr. Yazdi’s office is very nice but don’t let it fool you.

I was referred to Dr yadzi by a co worker who, also loves her. I’m not gonna spend a lot or time babbling. She is a wonderful dentist and makes up for previous dental work I had. I felt comfortable and safe there.

I really didn’t feel like I could trust Dr. Yazdi. At first I was excited– I was able to immediately get an appointment to go in and have my teeth cleaned and a dentist take a look at my mouth. Upon arriving I sat in her waiting room and curiously enough there was not one other patient in sight. No one! At a prime time when the dentist’s office would usually be packed. Red flag?
So she sits me down and before anyone even looks in my mouth the receptionist/​maybe a hygienist starts trying to sell me a night guard because I wrote down that I had previously been diagnosed with mild TMJ. She pulled out pictures of old women and told me my face would sink like that.
Dr. Yazdi did a fast/​probably not that great cleaning of my teeth. Never had the dentist clean my teeth before– I was surprised. She then did a really quick exam and said I had a bunch of cavities. Looking back I really regret not getting a second opinion. She kept reassuring me that insurance would cover anything and I let her fill them. I’m pretty sure she filled areas that didn’t need it though, because other dentists have noticed areas that were kind of worn away but doing okay. I really feel like every recommendation she made was just for money. And one of my teeth still feels really weird the way it was filled. Like the tooth is bigger than it was before– yuck :/​
When I was leaving the receptionist told me that she was going to charge me for the night guard and that insurance would reimburse part of it because she «knew how to word it» when she sends it in. I told her see if they’d cover it first and for how much. A week or two later she calls me up telling me to come in and that I can get the mouth guard for a little over 100 bucks. I told her no thanks.
Really wouldn’t go back here. I don’t think Dr. Yazdi «hurt» my teeth, but I do think she is kind of shady when it comes to dentists.
WARNING: Dr. Yazdi suddenly has 7 positive reviews written from late Jan-​February. This is a little bit fishy… I hope Unilocal looks into this.
